Personally, every time i saw this movie(when i was a kid), darkness always scared the cr4p out of me, and i was soo frightened because of Tim Curry's deep proposing voice..... this movie is NOT a PG film. it's strictly a PG-13, which by that time(in 1984) could have been used for the film since Temple of Doom's intensity had invented PG-13 rating, but it wasn't.....
