You have a valid point. Thanks for sharing.

All holidays have a commercial base regardless of the religious connection. Not to dismiss any religious beliefs you may have, but all religious doctine & holidays are man made.This topic is to broad to discuss here.

You are right; V- Day gives reason for people to feel an obligation to buy gifts, as does Christmas. It can cause discomfort in any relationship if one does not comply with traditions whether it is V-Day or Christmas. <3
