Truly a smokin rocker from Randy Bachman & company makes me think of their previous names The You Know, and Brave Belt and BTO when Burton Cummings stood tall going solo,A talented Band that really benefited from Can Con as all the border rockers had to play Canadian content with a little edit in the days of pre digital The GD was deleted and we gave this a ton of airplay...
@miketheshanmanmangan let us not forget Randy''s other projects, Union, and Ironhorse , not to mention his solo work.. Axe , survivor, merge, and any road.... The Guess who were a great band made up of some incredible artists.
Hmmmm.... I wonder where Randy Bachman got the idea for Takin' care of business?

Just a great tune. Great vocals and great guitar work from the late, great Kurt Winter. He is totally underrated as a guitar player.

I've been listening to these guys for about a good ten years, and I just found out last night that Kurt Winter was my great Uncle.
Sweet!

Oh dunno that it's really an "homage to the working man. It's a lot more of them
saying how glad they were they made it big, so they wouldn't have that 9-5 drudgery'
and the commuter's blues in their life. "I'm so awful goddamn glad I'm not in your'
shoes" doesn't quite qualify as an "homage" does it?
