  • Uber kool track

  • wolf

  • Call me crazy, but I sense subtle sexual innuendos in this song

  • Pretty fucking terrible. Hipsters make bad music so there is zero chance of it becoming mainstream. prove me wrong.

  • @AgesxsegA why does it need to become mainstream? and technically this wouldn't be hipster since hipster is a 90s subculture and this was in the 80s.

  • @NeonFoxLetsPlays It doesn't matter what time it took place in. It is still fucking terrible id rather listen to... honestly anything. I have never heard a more terrible song and I'm being totally honest.

  • @AgesxsegA ok. then don't listen to it.

  • @AgesxsegA Do you actually listen to yourself before you post on the internet? WHO would intentionally make 'bad' music (assuming in that case that they as well would have to dislike it) for ANY reason. I say you're just too normal to get "HIPSTER" music, so you discount it as trash. I suggest sticking with safe music that's so ez to digest, and doesn't challenge one to think. I know, I know... thinking can be difficult and scary. It's OK, that's what ClearChannel's for. Chew your gum and sleep

  • @DrNothing23 Thats funny I couldn't hear you over the hundreds of artists I already listen to. That actually know how to write and produce music. Someone would make bad music so lowlifes with bad taste who yearn to be different listen to it. This is music people wrote minutes after learning to barely play. How is this supposed to make me think? It's about sucking dick that's not deep or mentally stimulating.

  • @AgesxsegA That makes no sense at all and you are a troll. Face it, there are many things you don't understand and covering up your ignorance with venomous remarks simply underscores the depth of this. Who would literally record music minutes after they learn to play? That's obviously not accurate. You don't even know how to genuinely argue so you make ridiculous statements that have no actual basis in reality like a child would, simply drowning out others' retorts with "nya-nya-nya".

  • @AgesxsegA Go to Wikipedia and look this group up and learn how wrong you are with each statement that you've made in this thread. GO ahead... learn something.

  • My name Is Mike Wolf Manning!

  • god what a stupid horrible song. people bought this?

  • U2 was still getting spanked when this came out.

  • @spunkets U2 already had 3 singles and their first album out when this was released why are you even talking about them

  • @spunkets also U2 formed only a year after Throbbing Gristle did i love both bands by the way

  • @spunkets What does U2 have to do with this?! Jesus! Why can't people listen to a band without bringing another one up?

  • @KleineJumbie

Might as well ask, "why are some youtubers so goddamned close-minded, dispositionally- hypocritical and emotionally-sensitive they get offended, bash others for bringing up U2...whilst they bring up a jew thats been dead for 2000 yrs."....

    We may never know...

  • jesus christ this fucking blows.

    no pun intended.

  • @joelibermann like totally, man

  • I'd love to do the video for this. I'd even make it a doctor's consultation with a kid, as the dialogue is already written for two people. If it's done right, it could look like a Jam sketch.

  • I betcha Genesis P Orridge has a butt plug the size of a boxing glove replete with fish hooks. AND HE USES IT!

  • Into the stars, dude.

  • You can play the riff from I ran (so far away) while this is playing and it fits.

  • From no side expected Techno-Pioneers.

    Sounds great on Vinyl

and much longer on Heathen Earth

a bit more (self)tantra so to say

  • Very good song i like it so much.i think TG is a big big industrial band

  • SO MUCH FUNKY FUSION

  • I could a Jazz cover of this to.

  • I think its sperm...

    ...from a guy...

  • Awesome! - Collected Thoughts

  • im all for strange music, but this is a bit too far for me...

  • @itstrikE Industrial isn't for anyone. That was the point

  • Industrial is a bit of an acquired taste. It's quite different at its strangest: which is Throbbing Gristle and some other artists (Coil can be strange). In order to appreciate the stranger, and earlier, parts of industrial, I'd recommend starting with the more modern industrial artists who were influenced by the older strange industrial artists, like Trent Reznor or Al Jourgenson, and hopefully after listening to them, TG, Coil, and others will make more sense, that's what worked for me.

  • @seanthedonconsidine there are genres related/highly related to industrial that could provide a sort of transition into industrial, such as industrial metal (fear factory's remanufatcure's pretty good) or some EBM would be a good transition- I was brought up to believe that KMFDM (one of my favorites) was industrial, but I recently came to understand that by the definitions of many that it would be industrial metal (fair enough) and TKK would be industrial dance rock. whatever. I love WaxTrax!

  • @seanthedonconsidine that's what worked for me too. i was obsessed with NIN at age 11, and now i'm into this kind of stuff and new wave...

  • @JohnnyLovely2 I'm still obsessed with Trent, but I don't listen to him as much now because

    1. I've listened to it so damn much

    2. I save it for when I really need to listen to it.

    3. I've also fallen in love with Coil.

Akira Yamaoka is another underrated industrial composer.

  • is this song about getting jizzed on?

EVEN BETTER........ It's about getting jizzed on by a wolf/man in a suit!!!!!!! Wouldn't have it any other way!

  • @GuitarristA1quimista Dude, freakiest and the best comment on Youtube!

  • @GuitarristA1quimista I have zero recollection of this comment...... I'm going to go ahead and say I was stoned listening to this around 4 a.m...........delusional.

    ~Guess I wouldn't have it any other way~

  • Yes- yes it is.

  • this song+ the picture made laugh

  • i like this picture ^^

  • is this no wave ?

  • @f1l173 Industrial

  • cum?

  • Uuurrggghhh. I guess this may have been revolutionary, but Americans are muuuuuch better at experimental music.

  • @Shtove As an American.

    To that I will say.......No.lol

  • I would take this "garbage" over any of the trite flavors of the week that get obnoxious amounts of radio play for their over produced studio garbage :3

  • I don't like it at all and I aint gonna pretend to like it either.

  • @loafpork well, thank for your worry about my English grammar, I`m not an English speaker and I just wanted to give my opinion, if you don`t like it...I don`t care.

and if you are not able yo interpret other people opinions, that`s not my problem.

Saludos desde el fin del mundo

  • damn, there is a lot of bad industrial and experimental music, thats a shame

  • @BoyfromSevilla damn, there's a lot of people with with no knowledge of industrial, it's a shame. -___-

  • I could write this shit every day. nothing special. you guys prob only like it cause it's weird & underground. i'd be a pathetic sumbitch to listen to this garbage on a daily basis. wow.

  • @Minnerz your 8 favourites tell me nothing about you, but obviously you have no ear for industrial. How many TG songs have you even listened to. You can't base a bands talent off of 1 2 or 3 songs.

I could write guitar instrumentals all day long, just like you say you could write "this shit" what part of "this shit" that is, I don't know.

Music is art and this art does not apeal to all, and it wasn't meant to.

This music was made for free thinkers.

  • @Minnerz well I'm glad I don't have a narrow mind like yourself

  • @Minnerz

I personally like it because it's experimental, and it's amazing to see that they were lightyears ahead of their time.

And typically, those that listen to Throbbing Gristle listen to about ten fuckloads more than the average human, so no. Throbbing Gristle fans most likely do not listen to Throbbing Gristle on a daily basis.

And if they did, why the hell would it matter.

The period is there for a reason. Rhetorical question; It doesn't matter.

  • the "mommy didn't like it...and daddy didn't like it" causes me to think this song is about jizzing on your self...?

    still an awesome song, LOL

  • i love it...i feel it.....mamabaer!

  • hammer

  • is this being played on an elastic band guitar?

  • Industrial? Interesting thought. Worth pondering. My perspective on industrial includes Ministry, Rev-Co, Jim Thirlwell, Front Line Assembly, KMFDM, Katie Perry, Thrill Kill Kult, Front 242, Cyberactif, Skinny Puppy and etc. These artists are angry. I believe that Industrial involves SOME measure of anger. TG sound more confused and disoriented than angry. More akin to The Residents. I respect TG and intend to continue to listen them and and learn. Thank you to js59 for the post.

  • @ChesterLoadstone: You are overthinking this. Throbbing Gristle actually coined the term "industrial." Their label was Industrial Records, and the motto was "Industrial music for industrial people." You're thinking more about what it came to mean (NIN, Foetus, Skinny Puppy). Originally, of course, TG and Cabaret Voltaire used their literary influences (JG Ballard, Burroughs, etc.) to create music with a sort of antagonistic, provocative approach to their audience. TG is definitively industrial.

  • @ChesterLoadstone I hope you're not serious, if you think Ministry Front 242, Cyberaktif, FLA, and Skinny Puppy is industrial, you're mistaken

TG are original industrial, they inspired bands like Skinny Puppy.

Btw, Front 242 is EBM they want people to dance not be angry, they are known as one of the first EBM bands, and coining the term EBM. Ministry was first synthpop, hardly industrial. Anger is for metal, the newer industrial bands had anger, but they were also heavily influenced by TG

  • @LySeRgIa2 what about einstuerzende neubaten?

  • @wishcraft4u2 Einsturzende Neubauten are awesome and have always been very inventive and creative and very industrial, but they really verged on noise alot of their very early stuff...particularly the first first two albums. Stahlmusik came out in 80 and Kollaps came out in 81. I like 1/2 Mensch more, more organized in my opinion.

Einsturzende Neubauten is great, but TG is still older lol. Their first album came out in '75 for fuck sake lol.

  • After hearing this I was thinking that Genesis's vocal sounds familiar.

He sings like Brak from the Space Ghost cartoon.

Brak: The Song That Doesn't End

These guys are cool though. Radical stuff

  • @dmacnic LMFAO!

Im never going to be able to listen to this without hearing Brak now.

  • ಠ_____ಠ

  • Wow... the first industrial band... this music changed so much! But even if this is kinda strange, I must admit I like it =P

  • Classic industrial experimentation. Allso nobody gives shit about how god you are at singing, the singing dosent matter in music its the whole subjective taste of the audio track.

  • this is goooooooooood!

  • my retarded cousin can sing better...

  • @floridabowhunter Don't think the guy singing about getting ejaculated on cares

  • @floridabowhunter you should capitalize on that

  • wow, I like it

  • I recently read the introduction to and Throbbing Gristle's part as well of the Industrial Culture Handbook. THEY ARE FUCKED UP PEOPLE

  • Polygon Window- Supremacy II

  • brilliant TG again

  • LYCANTHROPY...

  • so much people will defend or defame but one thing is for sure

they did not sell there soul too the devil, they are the devil

  • Fantastic mr. wolf?

  • Is this song about the singer getting a nut busted on him?

  • god damn it i love TG. REST IN PEACE SLEAZY.

  • TG was a really great band! all those comments this band sucks are because people who thinks like that is so stupid, they are not available to understand the beauty of this kind of music.

  • @sugarcubes1 "People who thinks like that is so stupid" .... uh ... I think you might want to check your grammar before calling anyone else stupid, because you sound like a total idiot.

  • Oh man, I use to listen to these guys on acid back in the dayz.

  • could the video pic be anymore unrelated to the song? lolz

  • Comment removed

  • Huge...

In my non arrogant opinion, it's sounds like a children's song. T4P

  • @docfraktal ahhh childish autoeroticism

  • lobo feroz?!

  • this sounds retarded

  • @drfaith you're correct. This is a SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW NUMBER

  • I had a track by them on a tape reccording... took me a hell of atime to discover the band's name..... came by accident watching a documentary, I think it was Synth Britanica or something to that effect.

  • something came over me...what a clever little pun! haha great tune!

  • white and stiky,,,, i dont know what it was,, but i like it,,,,

  • im not gonna lie ... this shit is awsome !!! xD

  • sounds good except for that hobo's voice saying shit in a retarded manner

  • i've just lost my virginity

  • Classic song, great posting. I don't recognize the picture, is it from a TG record?

  • @behageli I don't think so. I've never came across it, but it does bring a lot of furry jokes lol.

  • @aLdOKaLdO2

    YOU sux

    :p

  • @aLdOKaLdO2 Ya know, this music started a whollleeeeeeee evelution...

  • This group is the greatest of ALL Punk/new wave/independant artists of the late 70s.

Period. It doesn't matter if people don't like it--- they transcended entertainment.

    It's ART.

  • What TG release was this exact recording found on?

  • @spawn22222 this was a 7" single on industrial records, with a picture of some spunk floating in water b/w Distant Dreams pt2, released in a camoflaged plastic bag....a prized possesion along with ALL their works.

  • @anothercountyheard correction the b-side was subhuman

  • @anothercountyheard Thank you. I appreciate your comment. And yes, this group definately does define the true art of music.

  • I feel like I've been trolled :(

  • is this song about getting jizzed on?

  • @birinbirinbirin or maybe hes talking about the hamburger lady, or Marilyn Manson.

  • @birinbirinbirin Not sure.....

  • @birinbirinbirin

    i think its about masturbation

  • @khoroshoorange

It's definitely about masturbation. No doubt.

  • @birinbirinbirin Yup =D

  • @birinbirinbirin yes, and he didn't know what it was.

  • @birinbirinbirin it's a play on words, but it's about masturbation, so if anything it's about being cummed on, then it would be about cumming on yourself.

  • I agree with what perplexedmoth said. I think when a person passes a certain age, by that time, their mind is already molded and conditioned by society into what is "supposed to be," and what is "acceptable" as music. But ambient/experimental music like this song by TG sort of carries from that "innocent" state-of-mind, which has no drawn-up boundaries. The masses however, will always want the "proper" mainstream, and that is normal to us humans. I like the atmosphere in this song anyway.

  • RIP Sleazy. Such a nice bloke. So many memories,/Jonas A, Leather Nun

  • Comment removed

  • RIP Sleazy.

  • btw, this is anti-rock. It's supposed to make no sense to those who desperately seek what he or she has always been spoonfed. I feel ashamed to make an explanation to the dumbfuck population out there.

  • DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT ANYWAY, no matter how shitty it is.

  • Industrial power ;)

  • This sucks dick holy shit. Bongo drums + shitty lyrics about jizz + not even a decent voice. Holy shit.

  • @0preshun Then why the fuck did you waste part of your life going to this video and comment on it? fuck of dick

  • @TJMcDJ It was on the related videos so I clicked on it. UMADBRO?!

  • But is it Art?

  • @katuhtuh i don't what it was, but i rather liked it.

  • absolutely fantastic. cant get it out of my head.

  • Complete bollox

  • @loafpork

    are you serious ?

TG was a sucking band ?

    ....

    :D :D :D

  • @js59 Yeah,, I think they're shit. Total buffoonery .. just because it's 'abstract' noise doesn't mean it's any good. Ooooooh it's so underground and interesting... mostly just people who want to pretend they're cool and edgy. These people have no ear at all.. I can't stand that fucking singer either .. sounds like a bunch of douchebags with no clue dicking around in a garage and recording on a four track. I've listened to some of their other stuff. They suck bad.
