Henna is the best for hair. Its not just about color. All the major brands of hair color including Loreal, have secret formulas that make your hair permanently white (your hair start turning white in 2 or 3 applications). white haircome up, you keep buying the hair color for ever. Thats how they make business. If anyone have just started few applications of it, turn to Henna. Henna will reverse the effects of those criminal chemicals. Some Henna products contain another natural darkening agents.
Hey i colored my hair with henna(red) and it came out looking terrible, please how do i get rid of it (as soon as possible) and i dont mind using chemical stuff. PLEase responde!
I left mine in four 3 1/2 hours as I was told by the lush employee to do. My hair is medium reddish brown (dyed it red 5 months ago) and it didnt really look that different accept it was a little lighter in color. My question is will it get darker in a few days time or should I try again when I have a whole day to myself??
@TexasChic1919 If you use it once it is and stays in for a month or so but it'll fade a bit. But if you keep up with it the color will get darker but you CAN dye over it. (I just did on mine and my hair was totally fine)
Hi! I just dyed my hair with henna for the first time yesterday and I know it takes three days to oxidize. Will the color fall off if I try to wash it with shampoo before the first three days pass?
May I ask what is your natural hair color? do you know any one with black hair used it and got your result? .. I am happy that you said it smells horrible as I was trying to find out if LUSH have defferent Henna but it looks same old Henna with the same nasty smell :D
It is so amazing that one can soak one's hair in a thick gooey solution that looks, and apparently smells, like something caused by ingesting bad food, and end up with such beautiful red hair.
It might be easier if you do what I do....take one sixth of the brick...I have short hair, and sort of chop it up a bit, throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and then kind of smash it up and add boiling water....less than what you have there, I like it a bit thicker. But lush caca colours work great, no roots: )
Try using a crock pot with a ceramic base. It's so much easier. Chop it in smaller pieces, water, a little lemon juice, put it on warm overnight. I hate the smell too so I add grapefruit oils and orange oils that you get at health food stores and then slop it on, wrap it, and go to bed. Wake up, wash it out. Done.
BUT very important after using henna color you CAN NOT bleach or highlight your hair until the henna grows out. To do so will break the hair off completely. Also many commercial or salon hair colors will have the same effect. I have known lots of people that have had this experience. Watch out, once you use henna you can't go back.
I have dark brown hair and I mixed up the Lush Caca Rouge and put it on my hair for 5 and 1/2 hours. Not only did my hair feel like crap afterwards (I have curly hair so the henna probably dried it out), it wasn't red.... at all. :( Used most of the block too.
henna is all natural products guys you may see indian pakistani basically middle easter people wera it on there hands to but thats a totally different type of henna
@cationproduction your hair probably wont change colour much, but will shine a different colour in the light, because henna coats the hair... sooo yeah. there probably wont be too much difference, but it'll still work :D All you can do is try.
@MyFubby I died my hair last week with henna, and you are absolutely right. I also used to have oily hair, but that problem is almost gone now. Next try, indigo!
Awesome! I came across your videos and I thought to myself you have the reddish shine that only comes from henna and low and behold a video on the side panel was this one. You have beautiful hair :P, I've used it myself for years now (discovered it in bulk form as I have allergies to most everything with fumes like hair color). I've almost tried Lush a few times but don't know of anyone who uses it. I also really like the Moroccan henna I order from a henna supplier.
@pepelepiu4561 It DOES NOT come out, its a nightmare once its in. I dyed my hair with henna a few years ago and it was lovely, but when I wanted to change the colour I couldnt. I tried to bleach it out but if you bleach it it forces the henna deeper into the hair. I waited a few months and then got all my hair cut super short as it was the only way to get rid of it- NEVER AGAIN will i used henna.
i bleached my hair blonde wen my hair used to be red now i sad and wanna go back if i us henna wuld it make my hair like a relly dramatic color sence i blonde .where u buy this at srry too many questions ps ur gorgous
@aburridazzz it won't damage your hair because henna comes from a plant in egypt you can also mix henna with indigo to get browns red browns and black the only down fall with henna is you can't use it to go lighter only equal to your hair color or darker (:
hope this helped! for more info you can go to this website: mehandi.com
I dye my hair with 100% pure body art quality henna, and if you're interested in having red hair, I highly recommend it. The henna actually bonds with your hair, so the color stays pretty bright for about 3 months (I just save my leftovers in the freezer and thaw them out to dye my roots as needed). It's much simpler to use than the product in the video too; pure henna powder just needs to be mixed with lemon juice, left to sit in a warm place overnight, and then left on the hair for 4-5 hours.
I just did my first ever Caca Rouge application last night, it looks great :)
Am a bit worried about what to do when my roots need doing though, do you just apply it to your roots or do a whole head re-dye? If you do your whole head, is there any noticeable difference between your roots and the rest of your hair? Thanks!!
is it 100% all-natural? i really really want to dye my hair but i have lupus and already have hair loss because of it... so i'm super careful with with what i put in my hair.
how long does the Lush henna stay in your hair before you notice the color fading? Also do you let the mixture sit in the fridge or cool off for a length of time before applying it to your hair? I've heard that henna has to materialize or something like that before the color will develop or be strong.
i bought some henna the other day- its just the plain one
and it seems to make a big difference in hair color
i just wanted a little tint- which is what my friends told me it would do- but they have really black hair so now i see that my hair is going to be a lot different. i just have brown hair.
my hair is dyed black and my roots are dark brown..... it's not too noticeable, but i just bought the caca marron and i was just wondering if i use this stuff will my roots come out a different color??
I'm terribly sorry to pester you with a question!
Is LUSH's Henna products Body Art Quality? I hear that is the safest Henna. ^_^ I'm just now learning about Henna and attempting to get all my facts straight and the best place to order from. :)
Thank you very much for answering my question, I honestly had no idea what the difference was, even after reading tons and tons about Henna. I just recently found out that Body Art Quality Henna is powder. So what makes it better than the brick? So many different people have so many different opinions. It gets me a little confused.
no prob. i know excacly what you mean. it was so confusing the first time i dyed my hair. :S from all the reveiws on lush the only compairable draw backs i can tell is that it's more difficult to mix since you have to boil the water and the dying process/effect might not be as strong as powder since you can't really tell how long the henna's been sitting on the self. since henna's organic it can loose its potency if not used quickly. but i don't think its a compound henna so it should be safe.
@leslielovebug -- It depends on the color of the dye and the color of the henna. Anything lighter than a medium brown -- dyed or natural -- cannot be covered by anything other than Rouge or Marron. Darker than that, go ahead with all four.
I've both dyed over henna and dyed henna over commercial dye and had no issues whatsoever. But I've never touched bleach.
What color is your natural hair color. I am kinda a dark dirty blonde...do you think the Lush Caca Rouge would work on me? Or just turn me orange? Hmmmm.
If you leave it in for 8 hours or more in cling film over night it will dye it properly, also as stated by the Lush staff you have to build up the dye in your hair over 3-4 applications the first time using or change to a new henna colour. Then after that every month you dye your hair as standard with one application to touch it up. Don't forget it's not chemical dye it's gentle and natural it wont do what chemical yuck does
