  • @TheSkeetergirl, It's 50yrs, 50, 60, it's still monumental. This goodlooking couple couple rivaled any other couple in their era even though they did'nt achieve the notoriety such as Taylor/Burton, Landau/Bain, Wagner/Wood. I used to watch their short-lived series as a kid, "He&She" because I thought Paula was hot.

  • RIP Michael. I will miss just knowing you are among us. Peace to your family and loved ones.

  • R.I.P., Michael Sarrazin. Was he married to Paula Prentiss? I loved her swan neck. About this movie, it is another despairng movie to see. We almost enter on the agony that they are living and at the end we want to ask to be shot like horses, don't we?

  • @christopher242424 Paula Prentiss has been married to Richard Benjamin for nearly 60 years. I am interested to know if he ever married and who the mother of his two daughters could be. I'll bet they have his

    eyes.

  • @TheSkeetergirl 60 years? That is eternity. The little daughters must be gradmothers by now.

  • Who is singing on the soundtrack of this video? RIP Michael Sarrazin .... I always liked him.

  • Who is singing on the soundtrack of this video? RIP Michael Sarrazin .... I always liked his films.

  • and now, RIP Michael Sarrazin - such a fabulous generation of artists.

  • Susannah York has now been joined by Michael Sarrazin. He died of cancer in Montreal, today April 18, 2011, at age 70. Fabulous actor. Especially in this extraordinary film which I have first seen forty years ago and which still haunts me, to this day. That circumstancial couple he and just as fabulous Jane Fonda both formed on the screen in this film is forever engraved in my mind. So long, Mr Sarrazin! May you find peace in this new journey of yours where horses are eternal.

  • GREAT TRIBUTE! Just found out she passed-away last week or so. Thanks for taking the time to put this together!

  • I loved this so terrible and cruel movie. And R.I.P., Susannah York. By the way, I have another doubt concerning to Susannah York. I saw a very old move directed by Robert Altman with her and she was amazing on it but I can't remember the name of the movie. I tried the title "Visions" but I got nothing.

  • ..The first film I thought of after hearing of her death was The Killing Of Sister George...this is a great tribute.

  • R.I.P. Susannah York

  • You chose a beautiful music for this film!! The finish is really tragic! A movie to watch carefully!

  • Wow I never knew this is maybe the origonal version done 1969 as I always thought the racing cars was the origonal. The racing cars STUNNING version, a chart success in 1977 but this version is good though.

  • The Aragon Ballroom

    Lick Pier

    Venice Beach California

  • I remember most vividly the scene where Red Buttons' character dies of a heart attack on the dance floor.

  • Very beautiful video and movie!! Congrats, Craig! I think this is one of your best works :)

  • Wow! 1 of my All-Time-Favorites, Craig!

This film made a huge impact on my teen

life because of Miss Fonda. Fierce Film!

  • EXCELLENT!!!! Great job. This is a keeper. What a movie.

  • ♥ .

  • Great movie - great vid. Another hole in one. BTW I remember seeing Michael Sarrazin doing a smashing Frankentein. Do you remember the actual title?

  • Beautiful song! Brought back lots of memories.

  • fantastic..

  • thank you very much!

  • Have you seen Girl On The Bridge!?

It's French..........Vanessa Paradis, Jonny Depp's wife is...."the girl on the bridge".

    Fantasic photography!

  • I just watched this Thursday night after working 2nd shift....kept me captivated till 3 am! Love when Michael Sarrazin is dancing by himself, sun on his face from the window....."dancing" on his tip toes till he feels the last bit of sun on his face. The sadness his face expresses is felt through the screen. This is just one of the amazing scenes from this movie. Thank you for adding the lovely music to your piece!

  • what a great comment, thank you very much!

  • Okay. Now you're making me cry...Gawd, this is touching! And soulful and beautiful.

  • I didn't want you to cry, but I am glad you liked it!

  • It's been a very long time since I last watched this movie...I think like over 20 years ago!

Thanks for posting I'm going to rent this one soon:)

  • I've never seen this movie but now I want! ;) That was utterly moving!

  • 1969 ? Are you sure ?

so I was ten years old when I saw it and I remember it as if it was very very more recent...it will never go out of my mind !

Jane was a magnificent and moving horse !

    Well done !

  • Superbly done! Lovely! 10+stars Red

  • wow....

    you can feel the exhaustion--

and that soft, comforting music...seems to draw you closer and closer...until--

it is indeed an excellent video...

Love the way you selected and framed each scene...

    brilliant!!!

    xxx

  • this took my breath away!

  • stunning work especially that ending.

  • I do not know the film but there are some details that strike. The finish is of this video is dramatic!

    RIP Sidney Pollack!

  • I saw this movie when I was no more than a kid (with a fake Id) but I remember the suffering and the final scene and the last words. Could you tell me if someone died on the marathon of the movie or was it just on my imagination? I'm trying to find this movie again and I can't.

  • yes Red Buttons dies

  • This has always been one of my favorite movies, and you have done a beautiful job with it here. I love this.

    Love,

    Buster

  • Hey this is really cool! Great job! 5 stars!

  • Craig. I had just finished receiving this same film and I was planning to try to do a video about it but now I see I have no chance. Awesome video.

  • sorry, but I am glad you liked it!

  • I found it awesome, as I said. By the way, do you know what happened to Michael Sarrazin? He is not that old. He is two years younger thatn I am ( I think). And I don't plan to die soon.

  • Wow, I went to Wikipedia and he is even older than I (I never thought that was possible). He is from 1940.

  • lol...is he still working?

  • Nice job. Great pacing, too, Craig. I like that you didn't rush it. No, "Dancing With the Stars" this isn't. 11 Oscar nominations, only one win - for Gig Young. Too bad there were SO MANY great films back then. Nice way to honor a masterpiece.

  • thanks Rick, comming from you that means a lot!
