BOOMBERGs idea of AFFORDABLE HOUSING is a joke! People in my neighborhood wouldn't be able to afford his "so-called" affordable housing! RENT is REDICULOUS & it keeps RISING!!!

Lets hear or see the increased numbers of "homeless people" & people living in & out of shelters, because they can no longer afford to pay the RENT since Bloomberg first became MAYOR until now! How many more people have to apply for NYCHA & SECTION 8 because RENT is not affordable?

Rents keep rising because people are complacent and keep signing leases where the rent goes up. People see the words "rent stabilization" and think they're getting a deal. And subsidies further encourage above-market rents.

NEGOTIATE. My building has 5 vacancies now. They'll have 6 if they don't come down on the rent. If more people would stand up for themselves then rents would go down in many places. Especially now since the bubble burst.

Mayor Yutzberg has shown absolute indifference to the rebuilding at Ground Zero. Mayor Yutzberg has supported MTA that benefit wealthy individuals like Ratner and the Steinbrenners, even as the system crumbles. Mayor Yutzberg has given billions in tax breaks, subsidies, financing benefits, etc.
