  • RESPECTIVELY

  • why is it when i turn on my computer it makes a beeping sound, is that normal when installing new ram

  • Im a slow learner... please dont talk so fast!

  • it seems like this guy is on coke. he talks hella fast

  • I dont know any of this cause i'm 14.... But i know how to install and the types but i dont know which is better or worse...

  • @doubldog26 get the newest and fastest you can

  • i have ddr2 533mhz 256mb from my brother.. can i add 1gb ddr2 533mhz on my second slot ?

  • ican i mix up my ram wit different brands?

  • @iMSoHigh420ritenow wtf?? are you crazy?

  • Can anyone tell me what's the diff between the DDRs other than their frequencies are different?

  • drr3 is more cheaper thand ddr2, now, DAMN IT!

  • So if am buying 4 GB x2 for 8GB of ram I install it the same way as you did?

  • Omg u so nerd

  • Help my ram card says pc2-3200r what shall I get

  • @CoDMiStA7 DDR ram, pc-3200 at 400 MHz

  • Subbed, such a great team, just need HD camera's :(

  • @SunnyProductiions they have hd cameras in their new vids

  • i hav a motherboard that only have 2 slots of ram. i want to upgrade my ram to 4gb. can i use 2gb of ram per slot?

  • @yragg96 usually most motherboards can handle 2GB but look up your motherboards manual or search it up online to find out how many GB per slot your MoBo can handle

  • can i use ddr2 on a pc thats uses ddr1

  • @killerhazard246 No. Only use the form factor appropriate for your motherboard. The "slot" in the middle of the ram is in a different position for DDR vs DDR2 and it won't even fit.

  • can you use 1 ram card with a dual channel mobo please tell me

  • @avsummergirl As long as the RAM is appropriate for your motherboard, sure, there is no problem using a single RAM stick in a dual channel mobo. You just won't receive the benefits of faster data transfer from having dual-channel without that second stick.

  • @blasticuffs ok great, now i need to know if you can use 2 of the same ram card but not in a dual slot pack

  • @avsummergirl Yes. They do not need to be the same brand, or bundled together in a dual slot pack. They just need to be the right type (i.e. DDR, DDR2, DDR3, whatever is right for your motherboard) and the right peak data rate (e.g. for DDR2 ram it could be PC2-5300, or some other number depending on your motherboard). It's a good idea to look at what came with your computer, and get matching ram. If you're building your computer, then check the documentation or vendor website for your mobo

  • ddr is cheap as hell now getting 8gb to get my pc up to 12gb of ram :)

  • @TheAlexagius make sure your computer is compatible with the computer, theres limits, you now :)

  • @SourpeachProductions yeah it is compatible is very nice :)

  • @TheAlexagius sadly, my computer can only hold up to 4 gb of ram... anyway to upgrade that btw?

  • @SourpeachProductions get a new motherboad? thats what i did(amoung other things including getting a new cpu and graphics card)

  • thumbs up if u think this guy needs to get laid

  • I don't understand why I have two sticks of ram that are incompatible with eachother.

    They are the same type.

Same MHz, yet one is double sided and one is not.

Apparently I hear that shouldn't matter, but they don't work. :/

  • @1Adr1an6 Are they compatible with your mobo?

  • @KedViper yes, same required type.

Does one being single sided mean anything ?

  • @1Adr1an6 Do you know what it's called? I don't know what you mean.

  • dude thank you so much this helped me alot

  • Why was it so hard for me to install it? I finally got it in but it took me a long time, it wouldn't lock in by itself because it was elevated and i couldn't push it any further, i had to really push one side in and felt like i was going to break it trying to put in the other

  • is has changed a lot in 2 year now thay have ddr3 in ever day computer and you can get 4 gb ddr3 pc3-1333 mhz $30-$200

  • @iTech7HD Nope you can put 4 in there.

  • @iTech7HD No You can populate those to dim slots.

  • So.. installing RAM is literally as simple as that? Like, you dont have to go to BIOS and enable anything? It automatically goes to work?

  • lol @ ddr3 price

  • Comment removed

  • @FXPS3Gamin why is that good? what a shitand desperate way to get likes hahahaha idiot

  • anyone notice this was uploaded on 9/11?

  • @xbasket12x So? Whats that got to do with anything?

  • @blarson12 Just pointing that out man. Besides I posted that comments two months ago. Chill the fuck ou

  • I'm chilled man, just wondering about a wierd comment like that.

  • @xbasket12x Thats Scary and im Welsh

  • @xbasket12x Thats my birthday!!

  • TOO EASY

  • great video

  • yup, we are idiots.

  • Got to Crucial(.)com to see what kind of ram you can install to your system. They sell ram pretty cheap so I suggest getting some from them.

  • hey you forgot about RIMM

  • i found out that adding a RAM is the hardest part in building a PC.... NEVER BUY RAM ONE BY ONE!!!!!! i just waisted 40 euro since the ram i bought which from a different manufacturer dont work together with my installed ram... i try them one by one they work good alone but not together.... theyre both 1333mhz 1.5v 240 pin DIMM, but one is pc3-10660 and the other one is pc3- 10600.. i'm still angry and i feel stupid.. iam stupid...

  • er... building

  • He's right about how easy it is. I've had more trouble putting desks and chairs together than I have buiding computers.

  • i want to ask you a question because i had a memory card issue but firstly i want to ask what will happen if i take my memory card out of its slot from the computer and turn on my computer? if anybdoy read my comment please help me

  • doesn't seem legit.

  • These videos are so funny these guys are claiming they have knowledge yet the whole time he is holding the DIM hey has his fingers on the contacts. What a dumbass nice way to screw up your ram ALBERT

  • my friend have a computer that uses sdram.

    i pity him.

  • that guy is such a douche

  • I found out that with DDR3 they haven't made the programs for it yet. DDR4 memory is coming out in 2012. Its going to be even faster than DDR3. I use DDR2 and I have 6 GB and on my backup PC I will have 8 GB. When you play videos and movies, it reads from off your RAM. The more RAM you have your videos and movies will play smooth.

  • how do you get your computer to hold more ram? mine only takes 4 gigs... how can i upgrade it to take more ram?

  • @XxPharaohAtemxX The only way is to replace the motherboard with more slots for more ram. You can double up ram in each slot. For example get a 2 gig stick and put it in one slot, get another 2 gig put it on the second slot. So 4 gigs in two slots. A lot of mother boards will have four slots so you can effectively get 8 gig in 4 slots.

  • @XxPharaohAtemxX better mobo?

  • Why can't he make just ONE video about how to put together a PC, or at least put up part 1,2,3 and so on:P

  • Thankyou verymuch

  • what website apart from eBay can i buy at least 6 gigs of ram for under £100?

  • What do you mean how to INSTALL memory? Two little tabs, push them apart, pull out the old memory, push in the old memory.

    xD

  • I'm wanting to upgrade my PC to a descent gaming PC what should i buy ???

  • @Gunnershaun1380 Get a dual to quad core processoer, a decent motherboard with a PCI Express 2.0 slot, A 1GB graphic card with good clock speed, A nice 500gb hard drive, 2 to 4 gb of ram, DVD Rom, 500W power supply, and do install Win xp or 7, i don't recommend vista..

  • uhh is memory considered like (MB)??

  • @sprsteve8702 No, memory is Ram...

  • hi

be for i install the hardwere do i need to like save anything or does it have stuff on there?

wen i install it do i have to do anything or wud it run like usual?

wen i install it wud somthing pop up and say new hardwere found?

  • @triniwarrior16 Just install it, everything is in your hard drive

  • Whats the brand of that memory? Its nice..

  • ocz

  • Thanks :D

  • Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR2 800MHz Memory - Non-ECC, CL5, Unbuffered DIMM, 240-pin is this compatiable with 2GB, 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-8500 memory module ? Can someone tell me this. Please I really need to know I am scared I might get the wrong one that why.

  • yes, its compatiable.

  • is there any problem with me haveing one 1gb and one 2gb ddr ram sticks im on vista premium 32bit and already have 1gb of graphics memory ddr3

  • No problem at all, it's just that 2GB seems really low on Vista, considering how much resources Vista uses.

  • Vista preloads lots of stuff thats why its considered to be a memory hog. I recommend at least 4GB for Vista.

  • do more how to vids!!

  • wat goes in to the black slots

  • ram if in the future you want to add more you put it in the black slots

  • Nice spelling

  • what is it with people being cunts with there comments.

  • whoa dude...u are so stupid...you call this guy a nerd? he has more social skills than you'll ever have dumbass...

  • LMAO

  • im looking to buy new ram cus i really need it (only have 1024MB) how do i know what kind of ram to buy? do i simply take out the RAM i have now an see if the pin is in the middle or offset to know if i have DDR or DDR2? or does it say on the RAM stick itself?

  • Can somebody of you please help me? I upgraded my ram. After i inserted it firmly and NOT getting a static shock, when I turned on my computer the screen just stayed black. WHY??? Oh and btw: my motherboard supported the amount of gigabytes. PLEASE REPLY.

  • i only have one gig of DDR2 RAM, is that enough?

and a Kingston somthing RAM, can i put both of them ?

  • OMG ! make a new pc and all that shit albert !!

  • which one i need to buy if i got 2002 ordi pc computer and i want 4GB RAM memory more?

  • check what speeds you motherboard supports

  • why is the HOW TO.. not being showed by tigerdirect? ALBERT!!

  • always wear a wris rap!

  • i wear robber soled shoes and ground myself to the comp

  • if you want to add more ram to your system it has to be the same speed and idealy the same make so

if you have 1GB of samsung ram

and you want to add another 1GB then it is better to go for the samsung ram so there is no difference in speed mixing and matching ram can make your system crash frequently or even make it not boot hope this helps

  • ok so does my second pair of RAM have to be the same as the first pair?

  • when I install a ram, am I suppose to install two or only one?? is it have to balance???

  • depends if you mobo is dual channel. if it is then you have to balance it

  • So is there a CD that comes with the item? Or does Vista just automatically regonize it and install the drivers?

  • and people at the stores try to say they can instal it for about like 30 man thanks i can instal it

  • that would be cool if u did choosing the right ram for ur motherboard-get the best performance

  • wow this is old but good

  • go to a computer store

  • and then??reformat??

  • I add you to my favorites. take a look Dude !

  • This guy is preety good

  • wow this is helpful dude! thanks

  • lol!

no motherboards or ramstick were injured during the filming of this "how-to" video.

  • I have a HP PAVILLLION 9610 US. How do I know what kind of memory is installed on it and how high can I go? Please help,

    thank you much

  • find out what dxdiag is then do it to find out what ram you have

  • LOL

  • thank u

    subcribe time

  • Whats the color code thingy?

  • Hi,

I just upgraded my RAM from 512mb to 2gb, but on the control panel when i click on sytem it shows only 1gb RAM, i have a 32 bit operating sytem, With windows vista home basic, Intel (R) Pentium (R) D CPU 3.00GHz 3.00GHz, please tell me what the problem is if you can, thank you :))

  • LOL on how many vid do you posted this comment?? XD

  • LOL.. quite a few

  • try pushing the ram in a little more (not very hard, just to make sure it's in there.)

i had this happen to me before, and it turns out one of them wasn't pushed down all the way.

  • thnx its working fine nw :))

  • how do u know what kind memory u have?

  • Open up your case if you want to check your brand name of RAM.

  • do you really need those wrist bands..?

  • Yes,

They stop you frying your equipment.

  • No. As long as you touch a piece of metal, you should be fine.

Also, make sure that you ONLY touch it on the sides. Do not touch the chips or the metal circuits.

Sure, a band will almost guarantee your discharged, but if you place a finger on metal for 30 seconds and don't work on a rug you'll be fine.

  • is there big diff between 2gb ddr2 1066 and 2gb ddr2 800 and is there big difference between normal kingston ram and between hyperX Kingston ram?

  • Does it matter what empty slot you place the RAM in? Should the larger RAM be placed in the first slot?

  • where do you get a wrist wrap?

  • You don't need it =P

  • How do I find out if my PC uses DDR or DDR2, if it uses DDR will DDR2 work?

  • no don´t work. you can download "everest" which does show you everything waht you got in your pc.

  • Hi, I already have Everest on my PC, I found out by using the crucial memory scan that my PC uses DDR RAM, thanks for your reply anyway.

  • no problem

  • lol at ending.

  • na mate i think you fucked it up

  • hey, i just installed 2 sticks of 1GB of DDR and when i turn on the computer and check the info about it, it count as only 1Gb, not 2Gbs in total, that is normal?

  • switch one of the sticks of ram

some things have a dual slot coniguration(its named a bit different but i cant rmember)

its basicly that you have to throw em in in a certain way

(slot 1+3 and 2+4 usually 1+2 and 3+4 are different colours)

  • thanx dood now because of you my computer has 48 g's

  • Does it matter if you install your memory before or after you place your mobo in your case?

  • Nah you can put it in while the mobo is installed.

  • What if i buy two 4 GB's and install? Should i put them in the other two slots?

  • yes.

  • Hey i got a question..

Look at this. What does CL5 and that mean? When i looked at a page, it said CL5 and when i looked at the memory that was in my computer when i first bought it, it said CL6.

    E.G Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5

  • It's the 1st digit for the memory timing. CL5-5-5-12 or sth is the full for most.

  • i just bought 4gigs of DDR2 for less than $50, its crazy cheap now

  • lol yeah

  • what ram would i need for a Dell Inspiron 530s? slimline pc. cant find parts anywhere.. lol, had to get someone on youtube to help me with a graphics card lol

  • Id Reccomend buying a new pc...

  • Your funny.. some of us arn't know it alls / spoilt brats

  • no really.. buy a new PC.. :P It really isn't expensive :/

  • I dont have the money...............

  • well some people are not happy with DDR3. i have DDR2 with 1066 and i'm ok with them :D

  • When I add RAM to my computer I already have 1GB on there and I was thinking of adding another GB but I don't know If I should buy a 2GB pack or 1GB because I don't know if my ram has to be the same speed(MHz)as the other or the same brand someone please respond to this question because I don't feel like paying extra money for geek squad.

  • Google CPUZ and download it. CPUZ show you everything about your CPU , motherboard and Ram.

  • Right i know this is a bit off topic. but still, i have a eMachines PC (E2464 i THINK!, in my friends house atm) i know its not the best but so what :P. i need to buy more ram but DELL and eMachines need their own 'specific' ram i was searching on various websites, like newegg, crucial and kingston and i cant find the ram for my computer model? i think it may mean that i can use any ram? but if anyone else has this problem, or a solution plz message me :D!

  • actually between 1:00 and 1:10 he says SDRAM was the first kind of memory twice...you got hearing problems or something
