  • Fantastic playing!! Really nice technique!

  • Really nice

  • Very nice ^_^ I'm playing this for my recital next month. I really like your double tonguing, I think it is impeccable. Wish I could have heard the first movement :(

  • Beautiful playing! You are very talented! What kind of flute do you play on?

  • I like the feeling you put into this piece - nice dynamics (loud and soft), phrasing and articulation. Also, nice synchronizing (listening) with-to the accompanist.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Laurel Ann Maurer only has one clip on YT, but the recording is a bit distant - still good.

  • beautiful!!

I'd love to hear the 1st movement also if you have it recorded

  • Another great video! You're REALLY good, haha. You are just so well-rounded, I don't know what to say...Talent but also lots of hard work, obviously! And you study with Laurel Maurer, wowwwww! That's awesome, good for you!

  • Thats not good in comparing with your other videos :( I haer no feelings

  • Hey, hello, I'm writing from luxembourg, a tiny tiny coutry between France, Germany and Belgium^^

I have played flute for 8 years now and I have an exam in more or less a month and I'll play that song, well, the 1st and the 2nd mouvement.

You inspired me a bit, so guess I have to tell you that you are awesome!! really I've seen a few videos of yours and it's really amazing ;)

  • I have the same exact flute as you, but I'm nowhere as good as you yet. I just got my flute a week ago. :)

  • Wow You are really good =]

  • Ahah I play piano...and I should say...you're really cuute =P Oh, and I enjoyed litening to you very much =)

  • this sounds great! i'm playing it for a semester evaluation this week, and i can't even lie, this is the best recording of the rondo on youtube... lol i've been using it as a model... just curious, im assuming you'll study music in college, do you know where you're going?! i'm finishing my senior year studying music - flute performance, funny how i'm referring to a recording by someone who's 16 lol i wish i knew about the suzuki method when i was younger haha

  • wow u seem so relaxed when u play.....when i play im sorta tense ^^

  • Great, crisp playing!

    Jean Cassignol (recorder player)

  • Wow, what a great piece!

You're an amazing flute player ^_^

  • You are great!

  • hey it would be awesome to get the sheet music for this please

  • I don't send sheet music to people. sorry.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Wow- this is amazing. You have such clean articulation and great sound- Love the expression!

  • ok lol i play the flute but i am no where near as good as that so i think you can play the flute fluently and brilliantly ( so lol jealous ) lol give it the best you've got!!!!

    :)

  • Okay, jealousy will get you get you no where. I looked at your videos and you can barely play somewhere over the rainbow.

  • Agh, sorry. I didn't mean to mark the first comment as spam...

    Sorry...

  • First of all- people can tell if you're good evenif you have a bad microphone- by hearing how your sound and articulation come out some its no excuse, really.

Second- just because you can "play" a piece doesn't mean you can play it well- and hearing your 'somewhere over the rainbow', I think not

  • leave her alone you bitch! you don't talk to my bff that way!

  • You are so incredibly adorable! You remind so much of my niece. When I look for inspiration I come and look at your videos. I can tell you are such a sweetheart too! Best wishes to you! ~Kate

  • hey ur very good at that i wish i could have a flute piece just like that one played..are you a Latter-Day Saint...^_^

  • yes i am LDS

  • @emcgarr what are they the latter day saints

sorry idk i was just wandering

  • What a stupid thing to say. Are you slow or something?

  • well shes tonguing.... lol.... flute players use their tongues quite a bit

  • u are such an amazing player

    u should tutor me :)

  • Very good I do enjoy good listening reminds me sort of Renasance Festival whith castles and knights and in the foreground fields of flowers and flowing streams over small rocks.

I dont know alot about music and cant read notes or do scales. I did however play the trombone in school from 5th grd. through my senior year. I stayed usually at 2nd and 3rd. trombone playing mostly by ear and watching the person next to me. You are a good flute player and it takes lots of wanting and practice, Thanks

  • beautiful woman with beautiful song

  • Absolutely wonderful:) Keep working Helen, you're great! I also play the flute and I'd love to play this part but unfortunately I cannot find the notes. Does anybody could send me the piece (I and II movement) by e-mail or make them available online? I would be really grateful.

  • I love Helen's playing. She doesn't just play the flute, she plays "music" (dynamics, feeling, emotion). Very nice. Probably my favourite (whoops favorite) flute player.

  • When the video start, the guy sayz: "Ok, mehet?"

  • " okay, go ahead"

i think is what he said

  • really loved it.......great playing

  • absolutely wonderful

  • wow!

  • I hate going from high to low so suddenly.

    This was good !

  • whoaaa @1:39>> and down crazy up and down runs..that is what i hate th emost about playing especially for a clarinet player like myself..jumping up and down from OCATVE to the lowest of the low and maintain a steady airflow that is neutral..hard to do

  • I HAVE TO PLAY THIS FOR SOLO AND ENSEMBLE!

    its really hard... im 13....

i have to play sonata in G and Rondo.. which is what this is. this is the hard part

  • Wow, nice. I remember I was obsessed with playing my flute 5years ago. How I miss performances =(

  • how long have you played flute and what is some of your best techneches and how long did it take to learn that piece i have been playing flute for 3 years now and i think i am pretty disent lol could you write back ?

  • I have played for 11 years and it took me about 6 months to get the song well enough to compete and perform with :)

  • @emcgarr and its harder to play with a piano accomplice. ive been playing for 15 years. and i still cant play with a piano accomplice correct for the first time rehersing.

  • you have such good posture.

not many ppl keep the flute at 90 degrees.

    you are soooo great!

  • You have really pretty vibrato, how did you learn it? Did you learn it from a teacher or did it develop itself? You play wonderful.

  • It sort of developed on it's own. I just feel it in a way I suppose. I don't really know how to do it.

  • technically sound, more fitnesse and contrast in color. YOu are already doing it so exaggerate in context with the music.

  • great sound...you are in tempo...what else do you need??? you are realllllly good!!!!!! keep on! =]

  • i don't know why, but you look like a flute player.

  • ya what flute do u play?

  • I play a Miyazawa: Boston Classic

  • just curious...what flute do you play on? sounds great!

  • Hey, you sound really great. I really needed a role model to listen to for improvement.

  • I played this piece a few months back. I won't even claim to have nailed it to that degree. CPE Bach is truly one of the best composers of all time.

Beautiful intonation, ornamented very well. Simply astounding.

  • Great tone. Very stylistically correct. Very impressive.

  • That was beautiful! How long were you working on that piece?

  • BRAVO!

  • amaizing babe i plaii flute tooooo

  • wow you're great! keep it up :)

  • Molto brava !!

  • wow you are so good!

  • you have very good control great job i like it

  • i think you played very well, but your fingers need to stay on the keys...!! my teacher would shoot you, lol, she's a nazi about posture and hands.

this is a fast tempo piece and your fingers probably have to move quite fast, so having your fingers on the keys all the time will help you So much!

  • Yeah I struggle with that I guess. I'd probably play better if they were on the keys, it just always slips my mind! haha :)

  • yur fingers r ok and i played da flute a longgggg time ago

  • Wow ur AMAZING!!!

  • wow. i wish i could tongue and move my fingers as fast as u. and im in the 8th grade

  • i have just started flute 2 or 3 months ago im doin my grade this easter im soo nervous and WOW i wanna play like youu!

  • There's no reason why you can't! Just practice seriously every day, and learn to love the music. Listen to good music to give you something in your mind to shoot for. Best of luck to you!

  • haha! just keep going and make sure you challenge urself! i have just passed my grade 5 and have got this piece off the internet..i love it!! only got it bout a week ago and its going ok..............WOOO WELL DONE!! x
