Translating hindi poetry and lyrics directly into English never really works. The songs are usually written in metaphors and people usually translate them literally. When they say 'Kajra Re' they are referring to kohl that women apply to their eyes and basically they are admiring her dark eyes. She's singing about how all the admiration and attention she gets is causing a lot of heartache for everyone and she wants the guy she loves to come back to her.

I learned to love this song listening to an Indian English-language radio station in Doha, Qatar when I was there w/the US Army. I was let down by some very literal translations I've seen of this ('kohl-lined eyes' or 'black eyes')... I'm sure your more figurative translation, beautiful one, is truer to the intent of the lyricist. "Black eyes" to an English speaker means you were fist fighting, and lost! I think you got to the spirit. Thanks for making a great song more accessible!

The subs are really good but I'd say that translating "kajra re tere kare kare naina" as "o beautiful one your eyes are so pretty" misses the Indian context. It is" Kohl laden are your black eyes" - her eyes are not just pretty they are lethal so they make those shooting the arrow hand movements quite frequently.
