  • OUCH! an HHO warzone of broken glass shrapnel

  • lol that is funny!!, i knew somthin like that would happen in ur last video i saw! im not hating or n e thing ur videos r awsome

  • your bobler is 2 low !!

  • happened to me also. but jar goed only in 2 piece

  • Use a backfire valve, so if u get a backfire it doesn't go into the gererator!

  • This is why I always say to everyone that I see on you tube using glass for this purpose is just plain stupid. You could have killed yourself. You got very lucky that you didn't get hurt very badly. This stuff can be dangerous. It must be treated with respect. Never use glass for an hho container. It turns into a glass grenade.

  • wow.... what tha hell made you try that?? ROFLMAO

  • hi, concerning the comment "glass bomb", i used a very thin walled ridgid container in the past, and when exploded it too shattered...WHY! Well any ridgid material in such a high decibel confined explosion will act the same...AND SHATTER "FAIL".. worth noteing, its the sound wave.

  • Several problems occurred to me that would have eliminated the explosion... on the other hand, maybe you wanted it to explode... If you didn't and for all new HHO experimenters... Use a plastic lid if you have to use the Mason jar design. The plastic lid will explode before the glass jar will. Always have the output tube totally submerged in water. Only light bubbles at top of bubbler. Flash back arrestors are not 100% effective, but 88% effective is better than 0%...

  • plan for it to fail, just don't pretend that it won't. It just has to happen once. 1 time and your dead. Sorry but I don't think that playing Russian roulette with my or any anyone else life is a good idea. The point is to make it fail safely not just delay the failure.

  • spark arrestors work too !!` check how to make one on you tube...LOL>>>

  • Spark arrestors? Are you kidding me? Try not using a glass bomb and maybe think about having somewhere for the explosive force to go beside building up dramatically and blowing the dang thing up. I don't care how good a flash back arrestor is it never works 100% of the time. It only take one time to end up in the ER. So why don't you just solve the problem and don't use glass and secondly have a pressure release valve so that it can explode and do it safely. Great Video Btw

  • if it works 99.9% of the time that aut to give enough time to think ... hey.. somthings up here.. time for change... and the spark arrestor will work 100% of the time with the correct arrestors... wire mesh.. not home made... there used all the time in industry.. thom.

  • There are some things to consider when using other types of arrestors. The burn rate of the HHO is much faster than most other gasses so that they may not react in tnough time. Pressure of operation is another. The whole systme muct be built to opperate well within the peramiters of the arrestor. But I agree with you they do work well and very reilably or they wouldn't use them. I have been using them for years on my welding epuiptment with much success. I have seen what happens when not used!

  • Glass has been a standard in chemistry for centuries. True that it like ANY container can fail. However the glass was not to fault here! The one holding the lighter is and that is it! They have no bubbler, no preasure relief or any kind and most importantly THEY ARE NOT THINKING!!!! God gave us heads with brains in them to use not to simply entertaine! We have come to a point that we just do because we can and we chose to ignore the conciquences of our actions. A safe explosion??? Best regards

  • needs more water than that when testing also..

  • for new hho builders, make sure when testing, tube must be fully merged in water and away from the bubbles.. also, if using flame torch to test, keep away from tube or else torch will burn through and you'll have a 4th of July.. good example though, just be safe next time and new hho builders..

  • This is what surprises me, which ALOT of HHO builders forget.

HHO is explosive. It's oxygen and hydrogen mixture that is in perfect combustion ratios. So if you try lighting it, the explosion will cascade to any and all HHO mixture linked by the HHO gas (aka. HHO filled hose).

  • make a safety blow out sir hoax has one it is one of the easiet and life saving devices that are cheap just pipes

  • that is why you use a flame arrester..lol

  • the hho tube is like a fuse. be careful during you experiments... always wear safety goggles!

  • good warning for beginners

  • great vid.. you should always have flash back.. but good thing it was you and not me..

  • good if unwelcome safety demo, hydrogen is dangerous hho is worse, you make superheated steam think flying glass and eyes wear glasses a bit of wire wool in the pipe would have stopped the flame front for no cost

  • La MADONNA poverina de Dio !

    Suicide attempt !

Imagine this in case of gas everywhere in your Lab !!! DEATH !!!

  • So in my opinion, i think whatever cell should not have barely any space on the top, and flames should not be present to go up a tube, is that good enough, thanks. That is a good lesson to everyone for hho, lol.

  • My hydrogen is top noch safe, since I lit one of the valves with a match and it knocked out the flame and shot it straight into me, this is without a bubbler or flashback arrestor. Nice vid.

  • bet you had some browngas in ur underwear on that one

  • What are the chances of tht happening when implemented in a real engine? Can the flame go up into the jar then too ?

  • This can happen. But you can have a bubbler or a flashback arrestor for safety valve and safer hydrogen transfer.

  • I dont think so. unless your timing is all screwed up and your intake back fires.

  • weeeeeee

  • Cant beleive i just seen that, this is what just happened to me, lol

  • first thing i thought was gee he isnt going to light that is he??? then i saw the lighter come out..... hahaha nice frame by frame of the flame going back into the cell.

  • that could have gone alot worse. i get goosebumps viewing some of the vids where ppl play with this without any blowback prevention...

    you were lucky:P

  • hahah thats was wicked!! lucky you did'nt get any glass in your eye I dunno but I dont thing glass is a good idear but dont let me stop you

  • thats what a flashback arrestor is for

  • its like BOOM

  • lol, wow. Jar kinda looked like it was cracked before you lit the little cup.

  • That tickled me, but I hope you're ok. Don't give up dude.

  • LOL. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Just use a deep enough bubbler. This should obviously never happen. The arrestor might not help a whole lot as the flash of HHO is from what I understand many times quicker than most gasses and the arrestor will not catch this in time.

  • my dear friend, i purposely like you light up the hho system, but i have a bubbler 3/4 of water 11" tall 4" wide, the flame travels in the bubbler explode on me, the bullber made out of pvc pipe, the end screw cap was burst off hit the ceiling and i got wet, i mean soak wet. for all of you i recommended use a flashback arrestor. A plain bubbler is not safe to do, since the gas is premix with oxygen.

  • Good video, it shows a lot thanks for posting it. A few things I don't like seeing in video that can cause the same thing are: 1). People running their cell while smoking. 2). I think that the wires should be underwater so the potential of spark is reduced, once the cell is installed in car, over time the terminals could work loose and boom so it is better to start with design that can protect in shop too. I agree with smart scarecrow, no glass creates shrapnel that can cut and injure.

  • LOL!!

  • well that was dumb!where was your bubbler and flashback arrestor-would have been smarter lighting the top of an open cell.

YEP like scarecrow said -glass not good.

  • It was day two of experimenting, and I guess you can say that I learned a LOT. haha

  • Could have been worse, lucky you!! I was impressed at how well your camera captured the flame. The scared monkey sound you made after the blast really added to the credibility as well.:)

  • I thought the whole thing was funny. I must admit, my ass puckered up tighter then a snare drum. I must invest in a bubbler and a flashback arrestor.

  • you can get the wool for flash back arrestor from a boating supply or the front screen on a magnetron has a bronze mesh washer that can be unrolled and used also.

  • You are SO fortunate that you were not seriously injured by flying glass. I have been called a panic Pete for trying to get people to stop using glass for their containers and/or bubblers and you documented why.

Thanks for having the courage to post this video and to admit your error. This example might keep someone from being injured doing this.
