@cixelsyD1063 No, it is available in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and I think one or two states around that has high Amish/German population. In Ohio it is sold under the name scrapel, my mom makes it with pancakes for breakfast it is best when it is rendered in a pan and used as a spread on pancakes with syrup.
Born and raised in N.C. and can't remember a breakfast with out it. Throw in a biscuit and egg and i'm in heaven. Live in TN now and can't find it so i have to stock up on it when i visit the family. TN finally got cheerwine. LOL
Ok it is lunchtime I am here in Ga from Shelby originally. Here I am now wanting LIVERMUSH LOL At least Ingles here does carry it. So off I go to Ingles :) to buy me some Livermush By the way you need to cook it a little longer before you try and flip it. Then it wont tear up on you
LOL...glad to hear you can get it somewhere besides NC. That was not my best mush cooking...haha...but I do like it thin and fried crispy. And I usually use a cast iron pan...but it was in the oven with cornbread ;)

Curious, is livermush the same thing as scrapple?
Tat2Dragons 11 months ago
@Tat2Dragons Yes, sort of. It's usually a finer texture than scrapple, but basically, it's the same thing.

I like it with bacon and eggs, or beans and cornbread. My kids like it in a sandwich with A-1 steak sauce on it.

@DessertDivaFL You should try it...just ask for it thin and crispy and I'd bet the farm you'll ask for another piece :)
