My friend got ahold of his for free. His friend had one that surprisingly.. "noone wanted" for the reason that it had no TV Cable, so he took it.

Eventually he found an AV Cable for the Genesis at Play and Trade, so he's a pretty lucky bastard.

sega is dead for a reason. they simply couldnt compete with nintendo. you sega fanboys may say that sega is better but you cant speak for the majority. sure they still make games but their shitty quality consoles are all bad memories now. just compare the amount of failiures sega has had compared to nintendo. even the virtual boy was well built. while the sega cd was a cheap piece of taiwan made shit. i had one and it sucked so i smashed it. i also cant stand the damn game gear.

hey aaron the reason i said i have 3 is cause i have the experience and ive played it enough to realize it doesnt have the quality or power of a nintendo console. it was sad enough it used a cheap ass yamaha tx fm synthesis sound module which gets a single tone and changes it to sound like a song. whereas the snes could play full waveforms and mp3s. also voices in nes games though not common still sound better than sega genesis. i couldnt sell one for 2$ at a swap meet

yeah quite true. both consoles are actually very fun to play although if i had to choose one id take the snes since it was much easier to find accessories for too. like wireless controllers. the satellite radio modem adaptor and tons of other great stuff.

not really. i got them all. your genny will run you about 30$, snes and nes 40-50$ each. might take a couple months of saving, but idk your situation

@figment1988 What's Blast Processing? a bold face lie by SEGA's marketing department considering the SNES had better processing power and SEGA knew this so they made a whole lot of unnecessary add ons the Angry Video Game Nerd refer to as the Sega Genesis on life support. There were a few good games like Sonic on Sega Genesis but I'm still glad a bought a SNES and didn't get suckered into to buying all the worthless add ons for Sega Genesis

yeah you can get the switchbox things at radioshack if you have any near you. i got one for 20 bucks that allows 4 inputs into one output. very usefull stuff

When I was a lot younger, all I played on the Sega Genesis were Sonic games. Thanks to Ebay, I can play more Genesis games such as Gunstar Heroes and Ristar. And no, I don't need emulation to play these games. :P

i agree with you on the virtual console. however in my case, it was the Turbo-Grafx 16. even though i've seen it, i never played any of its games. now i have 6 TG16 games: Bonk's Adventure, Vigilante, New Adventure Island, Dragon Spirit, Bloody Wolf (my personal favorite), and Ninja Spirit.
