@TheBestMusicChannel8 It's our job to create a buffer against all of these negative images and statistics which I believe more often than not are vastly overblown to cause many of our people to grow up with complexes. Sometime statistics can seem good but in reality they are harmful; such as black girls having higher self esteem than all other races of girls. According to my experience growing up as a black girl and my interactions with other black girls, this cannot be true.
But to some black people reading a statistic like that would make them feel that there's nothing to fix. Meanwhile many problems which exist in the black community stem from the young black girl's self esteem issues and also definitely the young black male's. It's a cycle. People with low self esteem have riskier behaviors and tend to be self destructive and/or destructive in general.

And living poor in this country is different than living poor in another country. Poor Brazilians have mangos, plantains, guava and other fresh fruits growing on their land in the open; while poor black people in America tend to eat a lot of junk food. Access to good food does affect your looks, with many people.
I used to take Coperira classes and I met several afro Brazilians who are indistinguishable from African Americans but they were all noticeably just very good looking. They have a habit of eating fresher foods and when they were forming in their mother's stomachs their moms ate that way because that's just the way many islanders eat. Every race has very attractive people. Sometime statistics can seem good but in reality they are harmful; such as black girls having higher self esteem than all other races of girls. According to my experience growing up as a black girl and my interactions with other black girls, this cannot be true.

Meanwhile many problems which exist in the black community stem from the young black girl's self esteem issues and also definitely the young black male's. It's a cycle. I think you're wrong to assume that when it's a black person they're trying to be white, but when a white person does the same thing they're not? I am a black woman with 100% natural hair (color and texture) and I always found it odd that some black women bash black men for interracial but put in their blonde weaves and blue contacts. All I know is that my black husband (and any man who wants a black woman) prefers one who actually still looks black, not like a mockery of another race.

Majority my ass, i doubt that census has been taken yet , relationships are like revolving doors, preferences change along with beliefs with time and age, I can't see how someone can assess that portion of a groups reasons and criteria because it's open to dissolve, at any given time. Factors including age group, economic level, education background, social groups varies, and are significant. You can't just make sweeping generalizations with the basis simply having to do with them being black.

I live in a urban environment where people embrace interracial dating. It flat out shocks me, that any black people today in America would oppose black man marrying a white woman or vice versa. There are also in certain areas where people find themselves, in a place where there is only one particular color of person or race or whatever. Like I am a white guy.
I grew-up in an all white area basically, with a scattering different races. But I always liked more aggressive women. The black girls in my neighborhood were different that way than the white chicks, and less self-conscious about being themselves. I am kind of stereotyping or generalizing. We all like a different swing.

This is the same type of conditioning that occurred when slavery was going on. They said all black people were dumb, etc. Black people admitted that they thought they were literally dumb,etc during that time. Self-fulfilling prophecy in that case. Society does F everyones head up. I don't find lighter ppl more attractive than darker. To me it's the whole vibe and your confidence that radiates /spirit. A lot of black women are hypocrites. Where I'm from(Brooklyn) I see black women wearing weaves down to their ass(when they know it's not even possible). I personally am attracted to full lips which is mostly a black feature so not all black woman are enslaved with a certain mentality!
