Zydeco Frottoir/Rubboard players use all kinds of scratchers - spoons, bottle openers, knives, drum sticks, anything that makes noise.

I think he has some sort of pick on the back of his hands or fingers. I have seen them play in LA.. Awesome..

It's the quality of the rubboard that makes that sound... not the scratchers!

ok fair enough but what do they normally use? spoons? finger picks from a guitar? just dont know much about the instument (except that it sounds awesome)
