So many times we worry and frete over our little problems,, but many who came home back then came back not being abot to see, and even today strangely this song fits once again. I truely enjoyed hearing it again. I wish we would all remember the men and women who have served us, and keep them in our prayers. I do, everyday, USMC 1966-1977. God bless them, protect them, and bring them home savely. Thanks for posting.

My father had an old 45 with this song on it sung by a paul someone.. Does anyone have any ideas who that may have been? If memory serves me correctly the 'b' side had the song 'the water was red'.
@hwaj5300 glad you didnt change your mind freind we need sad songs tooits real, beautiful song i thank you,i was amazed when i typed it in and you had it i have it also im a young 65 bless you
Bobby said in the bio section of his "10th Anniversary Album" that he hated this song. I finally found the single on ebay a few years ago, and I kind of enjoyed it. The arrangement reminds me a bit of Ronnie Hawkins, with a bit of Whisperin' Bill Anderson thrown in.
I always thought this should have been a hit. Back when. Poor promotion, I am sure. As good as some of his other stuff, if not better. Still looking for the 45......
Molly was Bobby Goldsboro's first hit. On Laurie Records. It didn't go far up the charts but it was a precursor of a great career for Mr. Goldsboro, who earlier backed up Roy Orbison, in his band.
Then in 1964, during the British Invasion, Bobby had his first Real Hit, called "See The Funny Little Clown". There have been many since this nice little diddy. .
Love this song thank you so much
