  • saxonwalls a bit of a cunt isnt he!!!

  • raibh maith agat

  • @saxonwall I,m A Proud, so proud Glaswegian, biggest City in Scotland, but NEVER a "scottish city. I hate this trash with a passion .Brigadoon nonsense , mythical K"eltic Slush. This erzatz Psuedo Scottishness that the Separist SNP foist on everyone as"SCOTTISH CULTURE".. the kelts a European people that moved westward and into britain under pressure from the waves of warlike GERMANIC TRIBES ages ago. the SNP say all the brtiish are "Kelts" apart from those nasty English!!NAE wunner ahDrink!!

  • @NOVATICANWARS God almighty man ,what are you on ..this song is done in Scottish gaelic and has nothing to do with a mysthical celtic race.Gaelic is a living language not a relic and people have a right to listen to and enjoy it...I can't understand why a few non-gaels of Scotland feel so threatened by a language and people who have exsisted on that Isle for hundreds and hundreds of years..If its history you want.reilize scot against scot was bad for Scotland in the past and still is..

  • trash , sentimental slush, mythical "keltic" nonsense but incredibly attractive to Separatists And SNP "luvvies",who will acliam it as "Scottish Culture" and get all misty eyed in the usual manner. ...

  • i don´t have words to describe the persons that dislike this

  • @saxonwall

'Loser'. Um. Ok If you say so Mr Internet man who knows nothing about me and is clearly short of a few braincells. I didn't realise I was having a conversation with the all knowing..

  • @saxonwall

Or just butthurt that no one gives a fuck about germaniac people's like the english :L

  • just an astoundingly beautiful lament -- if it doesnt touch you it probably means something bad about you

  • supongo que nadie por estos lados habla español, pero me encanta este tipo de música y no existen fronteras para poder sentir lo que transmite y lo que se siente al oirla. Gracias por subirla.

  • What's this movie called again? I watched once, and right when it played this song I started crying! I love this movie and this song.

  • @nightslade1

Much of the video has used clips from the movie "Rob Roy." Great movie although I know it was highly Romanticized. Rob Roy, The chief of Clan MacGregor was an honourable man. Although his Honour took him outside of the law. I still old him dear as a past Chief of My Clann. Much as I hold the Recent Chief of the Clann in High Regards now.

  • @saxonwall Well guess who we got that from eh? When we got to America we were treated like shite and were slaves makin a damn railroad. Everybody has tere dark past bit I still love Ireland, where I come from.

  • @saxonwall Irish is ta best country! Beautiful country! beautiful people and a great history. I came from Ireland to bullshite America. I don't feel at home in tis country at all. I wanna go back. Yeah english also raped Irish women and took our land and killed our people. You don't like who you are go be something else, I don't want to here yar babbling about celtics.

  • Lovely song but it is Capercaillie, Karen Matheson not Celtic Spirit.

  • @missjenx123 Nah, I think this is the version by Celtic Spirit. I've listened to the one by Capercaillie and it sounds different. But I could be wrong. :)

  • A beautifully poignant song. Thank you for sharing :0)

  • simply amazing.

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooow this song made in to the great pc game off my life total war i love mediavl 2 total war i think it amzing long live and and all english men long live irnand all them long live scotland as scotland and rest off brition

  • blurb is unrelated to the song. Do not want.

  • Actually I don't remember this song in the movie.

  • I don't care whether it's Scottish or Irish. We are one in the same. Is féidir leis an draíochta na Ceiltigh , na linn, timfhillteach gach saol dteagmháil linn .

Although, the Irish did give the Scottish kilts as a joke. They still haven't got it! lol jk.

    Mian Fearr,

    Dreighean

  • Great adaptation of that song is used in Medieval II: Total War, Kingdoms: Britannia.

  • This song's lyrics are truly heartbreaking. I think it sounds best without any instrumental accompaniment—just the solo female voice.

  • Nice music !!!

Come and have a look at my video

    about celtic culture.

  • Is this technically in the "New Age" genre or the "Celtic" genre? Thanks

  • this music is simply beautiful. The vid is good 2 ;) obrigado from Portugal

  • It's just magical! The song is very catchy and the woman, who sings it has an angel voice! I love it so much! ^^

  • Beautiful song but very bad resolution/quality in the photos. :o(

  • magnificent Irish theme celebrating the finest scottish man...

  • This is not an Irish tune or sung in Irish Gaelic, its a scottish lament written by Annag Chaimbeul ("Annie Campbell"). In 1788 who was scottish. Its a song for her lover who was lost at sea. Its sung in Scottish Gaelic.

  • ook... thank you very very much for enlight the point.... Slainte!!

    tapadh leibh..slante mhath mo charaid.

  • is not an irish them this is scottish style who singing that song is Capercaillie scottish group

  • hi ppl, im a british pakistani and am very fond of irish folk tunes, even though im 17 lol. ScotchIrishFool1, i read u mention something about a "CLAN" and im very curious to know more about this clan system, as its similiar to the caste system tht pakistanis use. pls educate me more on this. thank u.

  • •*´'`*•. Delicadamente etereo•*´'`*•.

  • RiggeDPuzzIe, your mother is from the same Clan as mine, MacLean, or McLain, or MacClain. All variations of the same name and Clan. There may be even more English morphings of the name. Lean, or Lane, or Lain, or "Clain".

  • ScotchIrishFool1, i read u mention something about a "CLAN" and im very curious to know more about this clan system, as its similiar to the caste system tht pakistanis use. pls educate me more on this. thank u.

  • Clan is a morph of the Gaelic word Clann, which means Family, in other words a descendant of the (Family) of some name, for instance "Mac Duff" (Son of the family Duff), it is not really a caste system just a form of family name inheritance. Celtic Culture was extremely complex, The high king of Ireland had little to no power, there was a form of "Caste" system in Ireland but if you really wanted to you could be something outside of your caste, some Kings were Chosen in our history.

  • Mi cancion favorita :) woow es geniallll

  • I want this song at my funeral

Side note: I am of Scottish/English descent, though I don't know how to speak Gaelic, I want to learn. My mother was from the McClain clan (her maiden name).

  • Rob Roy, a hero in my family (the MacGregor's) long live clan MacGregor

  • From me and mine, to you and yours,,Sláinte, and always remember 'S Rioghal Mo Dhream,

    royal is our race.

  • beautiful sound!

  • Sencillamente PERFECTA. No parece haber sido creada por un humano, esta canción ilustra en melodías pureza y belleza.

  • rob roy macgregor, his clan was outlawed by the scottish, but the macgregors and their sub clans continued, and lived in england and scotland to this day.

  • interesting video, beautiful song!!

  • Thanks...your song reminds me of my home of Ireland. Oh! how my heart yearns for the land that I will never see again! this song both makes me happy and sad.

  • a good celtic song, from scotland.a great song which bridges the stupid quarrals between britain and ireland.

  • I am Irish and those quarrels are not stupid to tell you I have no personal grudge aginat the scotish but I am now american so I guess I am one to talk right?

  • really? not stupid? both believe in gid, but seperate themselves because HENRY VIII fancied anne bolyne more than catherine of aragon? trust me, its stupid. your either irish or british, but catholic and protestantism is idiotic.

  • I'm Irish and I am a protestant I hated henry the vII because he was crazier the heck and made all kinds of atrocities but I think I was thinking of some compleatly different quarrels here?

  • I have been to the same places including Osaka, you my friend are getting sexier by the comment!

  • Im going to live in Japan at the end of this year. I can't wait Kyoto was stunning and I'm sure I'll enjoy Setagaya-ku in Tokyo.

  • Wow! You lucky thing you! Youve officially reached the number one position of my sexy list. What exactly are you going there for if you dont mind me asking. It's just its very expensive to live there so im assuming you either have a very good job or family there.

  • Im studying masters in Psychology with teaching English on the side at least 5 years in total :)

  • Here's the lyrics:

    How sorrowful I am

    Early in the morning rising

O hi,I would go with thee

Hi ri bho ho ru bhi

Hi ri bho ho rinn oho

Brown-haired Ailean, o hi, I would go with thee

  • If it is thy pillow the sand

If it is thy bed the seaweed

If it is the fish thy candles bright

If it is the seal thy wathcmen

I would drink, though all would abhor it

Of thy hear's blood after thy drowning

  • The song is about Ailean,a sailor who was lost to sea after a storm. His fiancee Annag was so devasted that she lost her will to live and soon died. But before she did she wrote this lament.

  • Thanks!!!

  • A stunning collection of images, very moving music.

  • I remember this from the movie, but haven't heard it since (but I will now!!) ***** great collection of images with a nice edit, and of course,a beautiful sound track!

  • I enjoyed the rob roy movie awesome

    nice one trichoone.

  • This gives me chills because Rob Roy is one of my favorite movies. I love the way he stood up for his friend and refused to let everyone attack and accuse him of stealing everyone's money and leaving for America with it. There's not much of that kind of loyalty these days.
