  • Coast is so cute. Thats all I have to say. =)

  • AMAZING!

  • She is one of my idols she inspired me sooo much. I think she deserved to win!!!

  • I watch this so much. I love how the song matches the video! Hahahh

  • C Coast Z looks like my horse (:

  • Thats a gorgous horse omfg.

    Pretty ride too[:

  • All of you need to get a grip. I am positive none of you can ride even close to as good as Lillie. She competes in all hunters, jumpers, and equitation. Now if you read the title it says Hunter Derby... hunter which doesn't reflect the rider in judging. Yes she does own nice horses but she also is a catch rider, she wouldn't be able to catch ride is she didn't own unbelievable talent. Obviously critiquing means you have no respect toward the challenge of this course and are jealous sore losers

  • @MustBeMagicXoXo Not true, you can critique and still be respectful. There is something called constructive criticism. I am sure she doesn't need it from anyone here, she has top trainers that do that, but to comment on your "it's hunter which doesn't reflect the rider in judging" - the better you ride your horse, the better that horse will go (no matter if she won or not). Don't ever forget that.

  • Coast is gorgeousss(:

  • this horse used to be a grand prix horse so he couldn't have been that expensive plus they don't own him they lease him

  • @Luneytoon121 they actually do own this horse, whenever she goes in the ring on him they say the owner is chasonette farm, and that is her mothers horse farm.

  • @ilovepreciousjim2 no the FARM does its shows up as the farm.........they probably lease him

  • @Luneytoon121 BUT its her moms freaking farm!

  • @Luneytoon121 i know that because iv read it in practical horseman it even said why her mom named it that, she named it after two of her horses she used to show in her junior days.

  • @Thegoldmedalist314 just because it's the hunters doesnt mean you shouldn't have good eq. Lillie's maniacal ride takes away from the whole round.

If this was truly the best round there was this year then our industry is truly in the toilet. There had to be a more stylish horse who had a more decent round.

  • @DrivenStar So agree!

  • @DrivenStar I wonder if Rumba and John French were there.

  • Personally, there are less famous, less rich people who ride better than her. </3

  • @ExtraLittleThings definitely so those people won pony finals like 5+ times too?

  • she rode this course REALLY well. She planned out everything and she thought out every stride. I <3 how she rides perfect EQ or not...

  • Have any of you read the article in this month's practical horseman about the derby where she commented on each fence. She pretty much said that she just kicks her horse and trusts that he'll get there. He was an eq. horse before, so pretty much he just does this whole thing for her.

  • She is so talented! And her horse is stunning.

  • @termanate she's not talented. she just has shitloads of money. anyone could do that if they had those horses.

  • @mshuntjumpful Those aren't her horses I don't think.... I'm pretty sure she catch rides most of her nice mounts. I'm not really sure though. You should see her jumper rounds though, even if she has a nice horse, she has a great eye and it takes a great eye to get a good horse to a jump.

  • @termanate the horse she is riding in this video is hers though she has about that i know of 5 horses that are hers and i would not doubt that each one of them cost a good 6 figures

  • @mshuntjumpful Yes those are really nice horses, but she catch rides a lot too, not all her rides are really nice. And she still wins. Equally, I can't ride nice horses for beans; I've always ridden the trouble makers, and the ones that need an active ride. With a lot of these super nice horses you have to learn how to hold perfectly still and let them do their job, which is harder than it sounds. A friend of mine used to own a Pletcher trained horse that if you moved at all it would stop.

  • I see a maclay win in her future.

  • i hope you all know she worked her way up in the riding world to be able to have a horse like this. She wasnt just handed this horse.

  • so cool wait do they have to canter into the arena? wow she can hand gallop!

  • Just lovely! Superb hunter riding.

  • shes going to the olympics

  • lillie is such a good rider and she rides well and people need to stop with the crap about her she is amazing and she rides so well.

  • whoa make it look alittle easier haha that was beautiful

  • gorgeous. if you complain you show your ignorance. beautiful rider, and I would hunt this horse on a sunday morning which is saying something. Show up at this level if you want to bitch.

  • @wannabediva100 thats funny... have u ever made it to maclay finals AND placed in the top ten? won derby finals? ever gone to pony finals? maybe after youve done all that youd be able critique her. money buys expensive horses but not talent

  • @wannabediva100 BAHAHAHA. "She's not a very good rider" you should go in to comedy.

  • @wannabediva100 does saying that make you feel better?

  • Lillie and Coast were thinking as one!! What a fabulous rider and Coast is so amazing! When you make a round look this easy, and FUN, you know they are at the top of the Derbies. Oh and to be at the top of the sport at only 14 years old!!!!!! Lillie, will you please train me and my horse??

  • God, what BEAUTIFUL riding. Say what you wish about her eq, but you try jumping that big on a horse that jumps like that. Eq is really just effectiveness, and obviously she was effective. <3 Beautiful trips, by a beautiful animal, ridden beautifully. Congrats to her and her outstanding animal.

  • people complain about her eq over fences in this video.. but ya. shes in hunter mode. if you ever watch her in jumpers or eq she looks perfect. so quit complaining because your jealous because she is so beast. <3

  • @Thegoldmedalist314 But Eq. is the basis of everything. It doesn't help the horse when you stick your leg out in front of you and sit on your horse's back before they even land. And sometimes, your Eq. saves you from a fall that would have been nasty. AND it doesn't matter Eq., hunters, jumpers, you should ALWAYS have good eq. Don't want to look like a fool with a hunch back.

  • @SittingExtendedTrot her eq isn't half as bad as some other people's though but i get exactly what your saying. liketori colvin everyone keeps saying that she needs to throw her body to get her horses to jump well and nobody gets that eq is really the basis.. everyone keeps yelling at me that im stupid and stuff but really equitation is what helps your horse perform best

  • @Thegoldmedalist314 i am so jealous of her i wish i was her and love your comment

  • if you had a horse that jumped as hard as c coast z im sure you would do a lovely duck as well

  • it's sad that the only way to do well in the horse show world these days is to have craploads of money and expensive horses :(

  • @Unbridled396 Good riding is how you do well in horse shows. Expensive horses can get you to the top if you can ride them. But if you have a million dollar horse you can't ride, you won't win. That's how it works. This video for instance. the horse is incredibly gorgeous, and could win it with any capable rider. But Lillie gave it the ride it needed to win. That's her ability, not just her money.

  • @HappyToBeHere9 Thank you! These judges are not idiots! they know maybe a tiny bit more than the average you tube watcher! enjoy a beautiful round and applaud horse and rider. This is how it is done.

  • @Unbridled396 I kind of agree with that. I don't do anything else but horse riding really, and I can't get past small time shows. I'm not saying that's enough, because i'm happy just to be showing and riding, but i'm kind of sown when all my friends are going to bigger shows, and my mom always says i can't cause of the fees. i hope no one comes at my neck, because like i said, I'm happy even to be able to ride.

  • @Unbridled396 Which makes the stories about horses and riders that come up from nothing together and win big THAT much more special (even if they're rare). :)

  • Respond to this video... Wonder what George Morris would say about her riding...hunter mode or not...

  • @chancieacres well she's won champ at devon for eq

  • @Luneytoon121 I've seen many horses and riders win classes that they shouldn't have (not just in hunters/eq either). There are some judges out there that are biased and aren't judging like they really should as well. I am not saying she isn't good either, just stating my own opinion. You'll realize this as you get older.

  • @chancieacres you don't even now how old i am! and you think i don't now that about judges!?!??! I'm pretty sure they would gt very good judges for the hunter derby finals! ur just jealous of her

  • @chancieacres this is true, ive been showing for 12 years and there are sooo many biased judges out there. It seems like thats what showing has become, its all about how nice your horse and your stuff is and how much money you have or do you know the right people who are in with the judges...

  • @Unbridled396 Thats not true . Please dont say that . sure you got 52 likes . but still , at least she does it to R I D E . and her horse and relationship could be S P E C I A L . so please Im not trying to be rude at all , but please dont say that .

  • @Unbridled396 not really.....

  • @Unbridled396 excuse me??!! there are plenty of people out there that aren't filthy rich and are successful. No, my horse is not the fanciest thing in the world, but he doesn't have to be. By your attitude i would guess that u are not successful so i suggest u stop making excuses for why they are and u aren't. its called hard work. ;) have a nice day!!

  • I honestly hate the way she rides. I don't care if she wins. I think she looks horrible.

  • beautiful horse and incredible rider...congrats to them!!!

  • The only thing I noticed was her round shoulders and ducking at every jump. I'd like to see her do a dressage test with her eq or approach a cross country jump sitting forward like that... Gorgeous horse though and congrats to her.

  • @malpal17 but shes not doing a dressage test or riding cross country. shes doesnt even event. hunter riders are supposed to be in a forward seat. it frees up the horse's back and shows off their movement. and its not an eq class so the shoulders dont matter at all.

  • Victoria Colvin and her are just two flat-out AMAZING riders. :)

Wow, winning the USHJA $100,000 National Hunter Derby at age 14. Thats just like Tori winning her first Grand Prix ever at age 13!

    Incredible.

  • all she needs to do now is win the maclay, hahaha she's an amazingggg rider!

  • BC <3

This is one of my favorite horse/rider pairs definiely

  • she totally deserves it. she is one of the nicest people i know, shes a fantastic friend, and she loves her horses so much (not to mention shes an amazingly talented rider). and coast is a brilliant horse. couldnt have happened to a more deserving pair!

  • that was INSANE!!!!!!

just curious, anyone know why she changed helmets for the victory gallop???

  • Thanks for uploading this. She and C Coast Z were amaaaazing. They made history last night! So exciting to watch!!

  • I believe Lillie is 14, too!

  • @gegx313 Yeah, she is.

  • aw man I wanted to gooo D=

  • oh wow that was amazing :) she amazing rider and has a very nice horse :) I hope one day to have a nice hunter horse to do the Derbys :)
