Unbelievable band. They are one of the very best heavy metal bands in the world. I wish they would wear pink today as well. I love his suit except for the wide shoulder paddding they had in the 80s. I want to make a hard core suit for them, pink, vinyl material, leather free, vegan, bell bottom, hip hugger, and with nice Birkenstock shape MBT type of shoes which don't exist in that combination yet, I need someone to sponsor my ideas. Way out there, but neat. HaHa. I'm serious. Love and Peace.

I think the problem is that the new gen of players have lost touch with the Blues, all the guys from the late 70's early 80's era had a solid foundation in the Blues, even Yngwie, who I met a couple time in LA clubs, he said if you can't play Blues you ain't a real player (his exact words)

This video was from 1985 and truth be told, doesn't do Dave much justice. I've seen him play much better and that wasn't one of his better performances. Hey it happens! Who knows how hard he partied the night before or the whole week for that matter? Dave is a great guitar player PERIOD! Half the footage you see on Hendrix, he's blasted out of his mind so his playing maybe isn't as good as it would be. Guess he sucks also? Craprap was crapping in his diaper in 85 if he was even born yet

Saw Y&T with Metallica (ride the lightning tour) in '86...

Meniketti pulled off a solo that sent chills up my spine. Meniketti and Randy Rhoads could make a Les Paul scream like noone else. Dave is one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

You are right,,,it was 85. Im gettin old. Yes...saw them at the Memorial in Sac in 85 - Y&T, Metalica and Armored saint. And both Y&T at the Oakland Colesium for day on the green in august 1985.

I obviously burned alot of brain cells during those years...and my memory is paying for it now lol.

I was AT this concert, all the way up front right in front of Dave. :)

My buddy and I chatted with Leonard Haze during a break in sets when they played at the Cotati Cabaret (anyone been there?). I was up front, Dave stuck the mic in my face during the end of Hell or High Water and let me sing into it. I knew every word to every song. Still do.
