do you know what you just got for yourself?!? that's a 9999 in 1 game! i've seen other people reveiw them and they are REALLY horrrible! espessially the music!
please don't spam this comment i am only telling the truth....
LOL. I had similar devices (the only thing, it was shaped more like a big Gameboy) with several games, this version of Combat came first, then there were also some race games, something like Space Invaders, a Breakout clone, and a bunch of Tetris variations.
This pen looks like it has the same guts as a terrible generic LCD game that I once reviewed. I had one of those "999 in 1" games and it had this identical game on it.
Oh, right. I have no idea where or what that is, being Britain-based, but I should have heard the name anyway. Thanks for clearing that up: I thought he'd been visiting some shady backstreet peddlers and buying Atari pens. Not that Atari pens aren't awesome, but I've never seen anything like them before.
Looks pretty cool, maybe whenever I'm bored one of these days, I'll run over to Walgreens or the new Dollar General they're throwing up and try and find one. Always hilarious to see you get frustrated Mark =P
whoah, I must be a n00b at Atari (I collect NES), but honestly when I saw this game start up, I thought it was Tetris. haha. By the way, what was the first game you reviewed on the internet?
i'm soooo glad i subscribed to classic game room. i wish they'd make this kind of pen with metal gear solid 4 or gta4 on them. that would be fun. you could be sitting on the toilet, running through liberty city, and at the same time (here is where the advantage over the psp comes in) write a postmodern novel on the toilet paper.
(i hereby also thank lee from stillgaming, who mentioned classic game room in a review and thus helped me discover this channel)
you know, some emulators let you make the sprites on games look diffrent. so mark, im gunna actual make wind squid, or atleast try, you get all copyrights ofcource
There's someone out there who has the unique job of dreaming up ways to make Mark buy stuff. Usually this person just slaps 'Atari' stickers on junk, sends it to retail, and hopes for the best.
That's what I thought it said. I figured you labeled the actual tape for your records with the pen, and yes I saw it before this post. I will not be revealing my forum identity, it must remain a mystery! A little math problem for anyone who doesn't know. -2369 = my forum name lol. Another great review Mark, I love the off the cuff "B roll" (as you called it) reviews :)
Thats what I thought =D, I noticed on some videos, at the ending, you dont put the funny quotes at the end (on SOME) I look forward to those messages lol, but keep up the awesome kick-anus work =P
I wonder if this pen is from a series of other video game pens...Very cool. For being an LCD game, everything moves rather fluid don't you think? Not like the calculator-like movements you see in old Game & Watch handhelds.
ha very cool. I didn't know they made pens that played Atari Combat! Hell I'd buy it just to use as a main writing utensil. That would be well worth my six bucks! Now I have to think of what other old Atari games could translate to the pen format.
"that's f***ing awesome, this is the best pen i've ever had,"..."Joystick, Start, Fire, that's already more buttons than the Atari controller had," LOL! this is great, keep up the great (classic) reviews
Mark can make any game seem like the greatest game of all time.

@xDanielx2016 To bad that wouldn't work.
Atari games were simple are about getting a highscore, where now-a-days games go with full stories and long journeys and yada-yada.
