  • That dude is fricken jakked man! Awesome vid!

  • The man in this video looks like full of himself to me. I don't like this authoritative type of personality who only hears the sound of his own voice.

  • It makes me laugh when many of those that question the validity of this type of stuff perform or believe in studies that are done in a controlled environment, lab, university etc and have qualifications coming out of their eyeballs. BUT, Have they trained REAL people week in/week out, year after year and studied, processed, collated and compiled results then given specific INDIVIDUAL advice/programming? NO!!

  • lad ,thats how scientific studies are done, randomised, controlled, blinded if possible, crossover if appropriate. The people with the qualifications are the ones who do research, not coaches. What poloquin has collected are lots of case studies which are a weak form of evidence.Theres no physiological basis for biosig,if there is id be interested to see it

  • lad, billysue, whoever. Some of the "scientific" type studies you are referring too have been shown to be flawed, "fudged" etc etc. Re Poliquins stuff, it works. Just because he isn't insecure by putting hundreds of letters after his name doesn't mean he hasn't studied or got a degree or two, HE HAS. Indeed, He learn't foreign languages so he could translate a lot of the Eastern European data, methods and studies YEARS AGO!

  • @billysue2 Each individual case study, alone, is weak. Having tens of thousands that all show similar results is a very, VERY strong point. It does not show causation, but it does show a very powerful and statistically significant correlation between what Poliquin prescribes and client results.

You aren't specific enough. Only EMPIRICAL (laboratory) studies are performed as you said. Observations and case studies are both considered scientific, just not causal.

  • @slizzardman case studies arent proof, but better than none .The problem is there isnt even a physioligical basis for a large amount of biosig theory. Those things could easily be proven if true.

  • @billysue2 Whatever the physiological reasons are, biosig works.

Unfortunately, the studies required need funding, and since the results would not be marketable by drug companies or directly useful to many other nonprofits, I can see the required funding being very difficult to procure, especially considering how many variables there are to test, which would have to be done in many different experiments.

  • I worked with a Poliquin trained Level 3 coach and watched the Bio-signature at work. It's amazing, not easy to learn at all, especially the 12 site BF test, but it's loads more accurate than the standard 3 site which is a waste of time.

  • Biosig is well researched with more than 40.000 Subjects!Vanderbilt University did the research.@ protonsoup: Supplements are not considered chiropractic. Plus the normal standards for bodyfat are just too high. So why do we have all this cancer, diabetis and other diseases??Answer:People are just too fat and eat unhealthy! So to tell somebody who is already fat that 20% bodyfat for a women is healthy just doesnt solve the problem! It creates more problems!I suggest you try to understand biosig!

  • thanks for daniel,

i was wondering if that study was done yet.

there was also a study done with Dr. Mark Houstan at his clinic on the tricep & pectoral sites that was also successful.

  • congratulations, we found 3 things "wrong" with you that we can pretend to correct by selling you expensive supplements and other chiropractic voodoo. also, although you have the bodyfat % of a healthy male, we're going to set the bar even higher. and when this unrealistic standard affects your self-esteem, we'll sell you supplements for that, too.

  • Don't try and spew your common sense here! Save that for real people with brains you jerk wad.

  • Shut up, fatso!

  • define "healthy" please, and give your justifications; in a world where "thin" as a relative term might mean 20% body fat for a male, i'm sure 16% seems healthy; but is it? how would we know? and are these people interested in health, or performance, or appearance?

  • dumb video

  • Good video. Thanks for posting.

  • CP reults with his athlets speak by themselves

  • results never speak for themselves as the reason for them is mutifactored and hard to unravel.

  • Biosig is based on Charles' compiled data, over 25 years worth, of client blood tests, progress reports, and the like.

Bio Sig and "scientific spot reduction" is, therefore, only in the grassroots stages. As a result, I doubt there are any "published studied"; nor is there academic research which has been published, thus far.

With that said, there are clients (and decades worth of data collected at Poliquin Performance Centers) which speak to the programs efficacy.

  • @TRAPRJ14

did you realize that you actually confront yourself?

and another question, have you ever read any CP's articles? take some time to do it first before publish no-sense like "I doubt there are any "published studied"; nor is there academic research which has been published, thus far"

    what are you talking about???

man, I would consider some good quality fish oil...will help no matter you "believe" it or not

  • @annel69 I confront myself? I hope you are an ESL individual. You sir have missed my point entirely.

I have read most of Charles' articles. I can only imagine you pick up on very few principles considering your response.

Academic research, peer reviews, and the like are done at Academic Institutions, not PPC. Published studies refers to peer-reviewed journals- i.e., Academic Journals. HOWEVER, as I said, his data does not lie; therefore, I do believe in the efficacy of almost all CP's work.

  • @TRAPRJ14 data does indeed lie,it has to be interpreted and may be done incorrectly. Also his data shows a relationship between 2 variables not causation.

  • That guy makes me feel skinny and small boned :(
