Try some 90s songs by them that are about 'being sad' if you want. Here's some, Going to Pasalacqua, Redundant, Why Do You Want Him. A lot of the songs on their first album, 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours has a lotta pretty deep songs. But really, I suggest you don't just listen to Green Day's sad songs because they're the masters of the opposite. I beg you to try out their other songs. :)
