I'd say she has the potential to contend with what Mariah was in the early 1990s. Mariah has just changed her style up SO much since her prime and her voice is really strained now, so if the two were to "compete" vocally today, Leona would win undoubtedly. However, judging the two from Mariah's prime (mid 90s), Leona still has a way to go, but I'm confident she'll get there. She still has a lot of time.

i think they never have accents because when u learn how to sing u have to learn how to sing and pronounce the vowels properly or it will sound like shit. No matter what accent you have when vowels are pronounced properly it sounds all the same.
