The artist is Earl Klugh, the piece is "Crazy For You." You can find the whole clip, all 4:07, on YouTube. Search for Earl Klugh or "Crazy 4 U" (this is the Internet). I remember this sign off and I always liked the music, which came on after the movie. By that time I was drowsy and ready for bed, not like today when the entertainment never stops with 24 hour channels and the Internet.

The Sign-Off announcer is now retired Lionel Moore whose voice is strangely similar to Peter Jennings.

And as I've asked elsewhere, is there anyone out there who knows the title and artist of the "smooth jazz"-style instrumental piece heard over Mr. Moore's voice?
