Well i got Resistance: Retribution on PSP and that was ok..not as good as the PS3 games mind you but still i found it to be a very enjoyable game, even though the controls were awkward sometimes but once you get used to them everything's good so i'm sure this will be another quality game to.
I preorder my vita like 4 weeks ago and afterwards I was skeptical but after going to the store and playing witht he display model I am very pleased with it and axious to get this wensday. Can't wait to see what games they will make for it in the future.

ps vita will probably suffer with frame rate issues. The ps vita wipe out and modnation racers have frame rate issues. I don't mind downgrading the 3d graphics, it makes the gameplay smother and better.

it likes slowly cause it's just a beta....not the completed version of resistence...i trust in this console...i'm not a sony fanboy....but i thing vita it's a great console...cause it's portable and has good graphics...2 analog....touchscreen...wifi...etc...so..it's great for me cause it has all that i want.

@MrRallemulle Everyone has their own opinion. I think, for multiplatform games, I'd think so, since you can use a keyboard/mouse or a usb controller (which the 360 fits). I'm not a PC junkie, but I can see its ups and downs.
looks average at best uncharted looked awsome but everything else looks generic these are launch games and they typically do not hold up that well go back and try to play some launch titles from the ps3 and 360 and you'll see what i mean
The best thing your cell phone could possibly do is Angry Birds, and that game looks like complete shit. Even Infinity Blade 2 doesn't have close to the amount of shaders and effects as this game does. By the way, the PSP didn't flop so get your goddamn facts right

The problem with cell phones is they don't have buttons or dual analog sticks or triggers. They have no physical buttons right now, and physical buttons make all the difference, not graphics. You won't find games like Uncharted, Killzone, Metal Gear, resistance, rayman, etc. on an iPhone. It's also sad that you wouldn't drop 250 on the most powerful handheld out there when most smartphones are 400 to 500 dollars. I liked the PSP, but to each his own.
I got the best of every world I have a Ps3 a Wii an Xbox a 3ds and a psp. So ill probably eventually get this but no kids i am not spoiled you see you can buy these things if you actually make your own money.

Is it just me due to being a PC gamer and used to a smooth 60fps but is that running at a very low frame rate? I know consoles run at 30fps apart from one or two games but that looks like 15-20 :(.
I played Resistance at a games convention and for a 13 Year Old It was annoying as hell . The Thumbsticks are small . I'm Only 13 and my fingers were slipping off . The vita better have a good Grip on the Thumbsticks :@

Judging from this gameplay it looks as though the right analog stick (and presumably the left?) is stiff. I do hope not as jarring aiming does not work for me.
Dude this is seriously disappointing... I was blown away by uncharted. But this... This gives me the chills of what happened with the PSP.... a game or two to show off the graphics.. but then it will weaken out to weak graphics & games. Look at the graphics on that the gameplay on the vita for a portable device is amazing and people are moaning about the price yet they will pay £500 for an iPhone 4s and games look no where near as good as they do on the vita

@kratos69xx 960 x 544 screen isn't HD which is vita screen. HD is 1280 x 720 or above screen. PS vita games will look perfectly sharp thanks to smaller screen, but try to connect it to HD tv screen via ps3 ( if it can do that ) and later play actual HD game like kz3 for example and you will see difference. and only big difference between oled and lcd is that oled screen is using less power

@kratos69xx no its not , pal regions are using 576p signal and it is still considered SD. Ps vita is not above 720p. It has great picture, but technically it's not HD. It's not anything to brag about if you're playing vita, but if they include something over ps3 where vita can be played via ps3 on tv screen, then it's easy to notice difference. Black ops resolution for ps3 is similar to Vita resolution, and it was easy to notice jaggies and pixelation when compared to HD games.
@kratos69xx part 2 : also if you're using plasma tv instead of lcd, you probably won't notice so much better coloring when comparing plasma and oled, I guess. PS vita has great resolution for handheld, but if you try to put it on HD TV where picture is streched to fit the screen , difference is easy to notice.

@420gotmymonies xbox upscales the output to 1080p. It isn't true 1080p, its internally upscaled from 720p. PS3 doesn't have the scaling chip, but when it says its 1080p, its TRUE 1080p

There are some games that will offer true 1080p resolution like rayman origins, for both consoles, but most of games are 720p.

from the looks of it those analog sticks look a bit hard to control for an fps, hopefully there will be a fatty stick attachment or something because that just looks really uncomfortable to use in my opinion...

Judging from this gameplay it looks as though the right analog stick (and presumably the left?) is stiff. I do hope not as jarring aiming does not work for me.

Dude this is seriously disappointing... I was blown away by uncharted. But this... This gives me the chills of what happened with the PSP.... a game or two to show off the graphics.. but then it will weaken out to weak graphics & games. These graphics look less impressive than what I can get on my iphone! Have you seen the infinity blade app? PS Vita BETTER fix up because I am NOT falling for this crap again!!! Come on!! Use it to it's full visual potential PS!!!!! And give us GOOD GAMES!!!!!!!!

@kratos69xx 960 x 544 screen isn't HD which is vita screen. HD is 1280 x 720 or above screen. PS vita games will look perfectly sharp thanks to smaller screen, but try to connect it to HD tv screen via ps3 ( if it can do that ) and later play actual HD game like kz3 for example and you will see difference. and only big difference between oled and lcd is that oled screen is using less power

Multi touch screen (capacitive type). anything above 480p is considered HD its not 1080 p but neiter is the xbox 360. its a handheld and its above 720p which is still a good picture. it can only play ps3 games in 480p. OLED screens use less energy and display more colors and make richer and deeper colors. in viewing catogories like contrast, color, angles, fastmoving video, longevity OLED wins

@kratos69xx no its not , pal regions are using 576p signal and it is still considered SD. Ps vita is not above 720p. It has great picture, but technically it's not HD. It's not anything to brag about if you're playing vita, but if they include something over ps3 where vita can be played via ps3 on tv screen, then it's easy to notice difference. Black ops resolution for ps3 is similar to Vita resolution, and it was easy to notice jaggies and pixelation when compared to HD games.

@kratos69xx part 2 : also if you're using plasma tv instead of lcd, you probably won't notice so much better coloring when comparing plasma and oled, I guess. PS vita has great resolution for handheld, but if you try to put it on HD TV where picture is streched to fit the screen , difference is easy to notice.

@420gotmymonies xbox upscales the output to 1080p. It isn't true 1080p, its internally upscaled from 720p. PS3 doesn't have the scaling chip, but when it says its 1080p, its TRUE 1080p

@420gotmymonies in a way both 360 and ps3 games have false advertising. Some of the games. Both ps3 and xbox360 titles are usually in 720p or few lines below that resolution. There are some games that will offer true 1080p resolution like rayman origins, for both consoles, but most of games are 720p.
