I prefer this straight ahead jazz feel to this my favourite Holdsworth tune Tokyo Dream..as a hornplayer I can better apppreciate his use of space and judiciously tasteful phrasing in this context (Holdsworth is one of the reasons I took up playing the sax thanks Allan !) than all the hyperbolic atonal fusion outings that he normally plays
this has a different feel, almost like a straight ahead swing .. while it's interesting I prefer the original groove .. still like it. There's no such thing as bad Holdsworth, Carpenter or Novak. .
