@calmman32 The "fake" parts that I saw were CNN implying that previously banned weapons (in this case an AK47 shown) are A) more powerful and B) fully automatic. Both are untrue, as I have a semi-auto AK47 previously banned under the assault weapons ban. It's semi-auto, not full auto. Also, there are previously unbanned weapons like a Marlin lever action 30-30 or a Remington .270 bolt gun that are far more powerful than my AK47.
It never gets old seeing this clip of CNN outright lying. The only one better is the one were the admit it and show the truth of what they were trying to portray.

@calmman32 The "fake" parts that I saw were CNN implying that previously banned weapons (in this case an AK47 shown) are A) more powerful and B) fully automatic. Both are untrue, as I have a semi-auto AK47 previously banned under the assault weapons ban. It's semi-auto, not full auto. Also, there are previously unbanned weapons like a Marlin lever action 30-30 or a Remington .270 bolt gun that are far more powerful than my AK47.

LOL now Eric Holder wants to ban "assault weapons" all over again over Mexican drug cartel crime. The litmus test here is that these people will use any reason to justify that same law to ban "scary-looking guns". Constitutionally-speaking, assault weapons are what the 2nd Amendment is referring to. It has nothing to do with hunting, and everything to do with combat armament.
We should have Congress take the ban off of MG's that are post-1986. Don't go after guns, go after gangs.

That is sufficient safeguarding that unhinged individuals are not readily arming themselves.
