  • Use a kinetic bullet puller pull it apart their about twenty bucks, but that problem is not from storage it happened to me once when I forgot to adjust my bullet seating die I had it screwed way down to much for FMJ bullets, wadcutters will be seated way down like that

  • yea..putting ammo in a plastic bag wont do that. Alot of companies ship and sell ammo in "loose pack" BVAC, MBI, alot of bulk 5.56 is loosepack. It takes a crapload of pressure to do that to a bullet..I call factory defect and you just missed it. Unless you shoved em in a full ammo can and forced it shut

  • too much pressure=exploded gun. this round wasnt crimped or wasnt crimped good enough. lol dont buy reloads from people, only use your own reloads. theres always a chance of something like this happenning or a double harged load which i have done several times by accident, but i always catch it because i double check my shells before i load the bullets.

  • 6 people who disliked this video lost their fingers firing defective cartridges

  • kinetic hammer?

  • stick it in a vice and hit it with a hammer lol kind of a low-rent way to get +Ps. i'd bet a bad crimp,or it's a new zip gun rd,or the new 9mm half battery from zig-zag

  • Do you know that Full Metal Jacket and Total Metal Jacket are different right?

  • shoud store in the box this plastic is dangeours (i felt) cause u never know what will happen u know when a bullet hits the firring cap or somthing LOL

  • Really, in a bag? Wow, c'mon thats just way to dangerous!

  • what kind of force would that take, a lot is my guess and i don't think those 9mm bullets even if violently shaken could over seat the bullet. i have hunted and shot for 15 years and i have been rough on ammo and never seen one do that unless it was already that way from the fac

  • plz reply to this i am wanting to learn to shoot a hand gun... what would be a good gun to start with? i am pretty low on cash.. just let me know

  • @lcsmiller12345 RIA 1911 about 3-4 hundred dollars

  • @lcsmiller12345 .22lr or a 9MM.

  • srr but you're wrong sir. this is clearly not from storage. this is a loading error. here in belgium people get fired over stupid shit like that. but if you won't believe me, how come this is the only one that got jacked up in the bag? that fact alone kinda speaks for itself doesn't it? grts

  • how come my 22. are in a box free moving around

  • @brandond1997 With the .22lr's that I've seen, the bullet narrows at the bottom and has an over-hang, the narrow part goes into the shell and the top of the shell is then crimped to hold the bullet in. The over-hang on the bullet prevents it from being squashed into the shell any further down than it already is.

  • give it to a mexican kid to play with

  • evet

  • Love bullets!!!

  • ...Why not just keep the ammo in the box...?... Do you think that's maybe why cartridges come in a box and not a ziplock bag...?...

  • give the bullet to iraqvet 8888 to put in the hi point

  • If the ammo were high quality, there should have been no way to setback the bullet like that just by storing it in a ziplock bag. I think this speaks more towards the ammo manufacturer than the way to store your ammo.

  • we throw our bullets in the trash if somethings wrong with them

  • funny i can get a box of 1000 .22 in just loose in a 6x6x6 box. not iduvigualy raped and sectioned off just loose like in his bag here.well im not buying that brand anymore

  • @blanbproductionshd Why II just love RAPED bullets.

  • @Bassman018 well i had a box of .44 and thery were induvidualy sectioned like regular bullets and the bullets were shrink wraped to keep the air and water out

  • He hasn't made a new video in a few days.....maybe his little bullett de activation method didn't work. r.i.p. cutlerylover

  • One mores 1000

  • Congrats on your 999th video, looking forward to your thousandth. :)

  • EDC vid now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder what #1,000 will be about??

  • plyers just pull it out until its snug... then its safe ive done it hundreds of times with my 8mm mauser

  • looks like you have a bullet that fell out of a casing, too. 1:11

  • You by a bullet puller.

  • HPR is overpriced to start...then throw in shipping. Several channels got a bunch free so good for them, I am not paying for it when I can get better alternatives locally for less money locally.

  • Maybe zombies are breaking down your door...

  • I cant see carrying ammo that way would seat that bullet that far down. I used to cycle the same round in and out of my carry gun every day and it never sat that far down. For pulling bullets apart get a kinetic bullet puller. there are about $25. looks like a plastic ball peen hammer. I used to use them with I worked for a comercial ammo reloader. Hope that helps some.

  • hey im a new subscriber but i was wondering if you collect throwing knives or know how to throw them? thank you

  • I throw my defective and miss fire bullets into the burn barrel with the rest of the garbage, they go pop =P

  • @FabioCrow07770

Someone did that at the range near me... Put a whole bunch of bullets that didn't fire into the burn barrel...

They went off as people were walking to the targets to see how many times they missed......Ha.. want to talk about looking nervous....

  • Great vid. One thing though, your camera is driving me nuts by changing its focus every three seconds. Perhaps better lighting?

    Cheers.

  • As always brother....very informative video. This is good stuff for everyone to keep in mind. Total thumbs up.

    Cheers,

    MrWheelie19

  • @cutlerylover You should get into archery.... You have so many guns now, buy a bow!

  • 999th video that's 4:44

    wuddafuk

  • Oh Cutlerylover. WHAT WILL HE DO NEXT?? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON OUR 1000 VIDEO!!

  • 999 vids

  • you go into the smallest details in all your vids and go to the extra effort to show us (jewlers magnifing glass) it really keeps me comin back to these

  • what's the name of the channel? i can not find it.

  • 999th video Congrats on your chanel

  • Don't they have bullet pullers?

  • @sungwei9 yes they do

  • didnt you say you were gonna do a big contentest for your 1000th video

  • @thebiged415

........... careful, he'll make the prize a bag of bullets ;).

  • i prefer to drop a 10 lb. rock on it from the 10th floor and leave it there

  • GREAT video Jeff. I always store my ammo in the original boxes. It takes up more space but it works. I have ammo that is over 25 years old and it still fires fine. I see a lot of people store ammo like that so this video is great info.! Thanks!

  • hey cultery, you should think about investing in a bullet puller.

Not sure if anyone else has suggested that.

  • @GATORFOOT166 ...as much as he seems to be into shooting, I don't know why he doesn't get into reloading as well. Not only can you make cheaper ammo, you can make better ammo.

  • thanks for the heads up. good vid

  • Comment removed

  • To clarify my last point. By case "rim" I mean the mouth. The edge of the case mouth is what actually stops the round from going too far into the chamber. If you crimp the edge into the bullet, bad things can happen. You'll notice your revolver rounds ARE crimped. The bullet has a little groove around its circumference called a cannelure that you crimp the edge into. This is necessary because the recoil on a magnum round can knock bullets loose in the cylinder if they weren't crimped.

  • Whats gonna be your 1000th?

  • show all of your knives for your 1000th video!!!! do it now!

  • @Idiotology101 he has all ready done that

  • FYI : Most auto pistol rounds like the 9mm, 45ACP and others headspace on the case rim and thus do not have any crimp. That's why carrying your ammo loose in a baggie is not a good idea.

  • @Thin447Line I use a Lee taper crimp die on all semiauto handloads. It puts a good crimp in place but leaves enough case mouth exsposed to headspace on.

  • @klesmer ...yes I know about the taper crimp. However, since most bullets you would use do not have a cannelure to crimp into, you have to be careful not to make the bullet so tight that it increases pressure beyond safe levels.

  • @cutlerylover y r u going to make the 1000 video long

  • Dude why dispose of ammo, thats like a sin man, get some reloading stuff & reuse it!

  • you should be able to take a round like this to the gun shop and put it in a special bin for live rounds that are either faulty or just redundant. just as a way to dispose of live rounds properly

  • Hey Jeff, There is a Bullet Removal Tool for this. It looks kind of like a hammer, where you put the cartridge in one end and lock it in, then hit the tool on a hard surface and the bullet will get thrown out of the casing. I would say this would be the safest way to do this since thats what the tool is made for.

  • almost 1000 videos, wow congrats bro

  • TBH id like to think anyone who has the responsability of owning a gun would take the resposability to check rounds and where they are firing etc. Its a killing machine after all.

  • Kinetic Bullet Pullers are $15 on Amazon. Everyone should have one.

  • thumbs up for hour long 1,000 video!

  • A little advice from a person who reloads my own ammo....Keep your ammo in the box. If you reload, get the appropriate ammo box. Also, for "making bullets safe" I would get a kinetic bullet puller. It looks like a clear plastic hammer and you can find it in the reloading section at the sporting goods store. Trying to pry something like that apart with pliers would make me nervous.

  • for your 1000th vid plz make it 10:00 minutes play music at the end or sometin

  • be sure to measure the round BEFORE and AFTER to see if the OAL changes. there's a lot of force on the tip of a bullet during cycling. make sure to be safe and NOT milk the slide. if something changes its HPR quality control

  • could be a quality control problem from hpr. Ive reloaded a little bit and one thing you look for is case mouth tension on the bullet. if its too loose then hpr belled the mouth too much before seating. unless they do some kind of crimping after seating, thats my guess. perhaps you should test the case mouth tension on a handful of rounds by loading them up in a mag, then cycle them thru manually by pulling the slide forcefully.

  • One more vid

  • Great piece of information, I've always kepy my rounds in the box they came in, but just incase something like that SHOULD happen, i know what to look out for, thanks!

  • Can't wait to see what your doing Jeff love what u do and for u I be PA representing lol keep it real

  • when you make you 1000th video make it hunting montage

  • one more jeff come on hurry up

  • Thanks for the observational vid. I personally never store ammo in bags. Too many things happen like this. Plus I also use jacketed soft points. They don't last long bouncing around in a bag. Besides it's cheap to go and buy some plastic ammo containers, ones with rubber seals even. To store over longer periods or for trips to the range.

  • better use one of those kinetic hamers to unload that round jeff pliers realy isn't the way to do it

  • cant wait for the 1000th

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • This is why you keep your ammo in the box it came in.......designed to prevet this.

  • dude get a bullet puller it look like a hammer u put ur bullet in wack it on a soft surface ie seat foam pad and ur bullet pops right out

  • thumbs up for 999 video!!!!!!!

  • Wow! Video 999! What will be your 1000 video be? How bout a ti-lite give away? :D

  • all the steel cased wolf .223 i bought this summer rusted up even being stored in millitary ammo cans with silica gel packets and jams every two shoots in my AR15 :(

  • hey i remeber a long time ago u made ur own reloads and something went wrong? or was that a differnt person

  • oOoOoOoOoOo almost1k vidzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • If you are really concerned about setback or other potential problems, consider investing in a bullet puller. I've used one of these and they do the job. I've never had a damaged case from one, and they collect the powder and bullet in the tool itself so there is no danger of spilling. Very handy for shooting reloads (from anyone).

  • Man, I am bummed out. I kept waiting and waiting for the good stuff and nothing happened. Then I realized it was Bullets Gone Bad, not Bullets Gone Wild then I felt silly. I was always curious why you would take your ammo out of a well organized container where the ammo is protected and easily accounted for and stick it in a plastic bag. I would think to put it in a better container, not worse. To each his own. Devil Dog out.

  • gratz on your 999th ep

  • I'm going to say the problem comes from the person reloading.

What you have there is bullet set back. Caused by improper case sizing

or crimping. This can also occur when a round has been chamber many times.

Repeated chambering will cause the bullet to set back when the bullet contacts the feed ramp. I'd chamber a few or those "reloads" and see if I'm getting any "set back". Bullet set back DOES cause higher chamber pressures.

  • @cutlerylover if you freeze the round it stops the powder from firing. put the bad round in the freezer for a day or two before you disassemble it. better to be safe then sorry

  • lol u must be confused thats not a 9 thats a .380

  • At the beginning of the video i was so scared! You sounded so sad/sick

I was like "Oh noes! Did he shoot himself/hurt himself!?D:D:D:D:"

    But then i was all

    Ohphew.

  • I store quite a bit of my ammunition in bags like this, and have never found a bullet like that. but this video does give me more motive to double check as im loading mags and guns for now on. thanks for the info.

  • how i get rid of faulty rounds: Slap, rack, bang. :P

  • did any body elses video stop at 2:46?

  • Do you think that was because it was a reload or does that matter. I just bought some gear pods to bring my ammo to the range. Based on this vid. i am rethinking that strategy.

  • Make 1000 shooting every gun you have right in a row.

  • you have must have really smacked the round to to lodge the bullet in the casing like that......as for soaking the round in oil, i soaked 2 rounds in wd40 for 2 weeks and they both fired.....

  • @gwargwar1981 Thetre reloads with akes the neck stretch.

  • Yeah I zip lock my bullets and have for years. Never had this sort of a problem. Thanks for the post for all the people who don't understand the dangers involved with a live round like that.

  • Very interesting. Georgia Arms, one of the bigger manufacturers of ammo on the East coast, packages all of their ammo in plastic bags. I have bought ammo from them for some time and have never had a problem. But I can see how it might be a problem.

  • nice warning!

  • There is a hammer type device that holds a round, when you "strike" the hammer, the bullet is forced out. This is the safest way to remove the bullet from a live round.

  • make more balisong instructionals!!!

  • 999 VIDEOS!!!

  • I know a guy who has a 60-year old .32 ACP pistol. The ammo is also decades old. Wouldn't fire that for the life of me.

  • You should leave descant packets in your bags of ammo also.

  • i think it is from HPR. I have .45's that came that way from them. I think i sent you a message about it along with safearms and sootch00. HPR also saw my post and sent me a message. They say that they inspect every round?! Anyway always check your ammo period

  • personally i thought you shot yourself when i read bullets gone bad

  • this has happened to a friend of mine before, shooting a glock 19. after doing so, the cartridge explodes, coming off is the slide and the bullet is still shot. probably a problem with the glock, and not the bullet, but still not suggested to be tried again. he was a daredevil

  • Good to know this... ((999)) Party at Jeffs house for 1,000?!?!?

  • Video 1000 soon eh? Didn't you say you were going to have someone spray you in the face with pepper spray for the sake of review? I mean, you do have that one that is about to expire soon right?

    lol j/k.

  • one good way to store ammo is to buy reusable box's for certain ammo types it is a little pricey but it works and my dad does it

  • You just found a new way to make .380 ammo for cheap. You just buy HPR 9mm rounds and you hit the bullet with a hammer to make it a .380 lol.

Obviously dont do that for real people.

  • Please strip-tease video for us as 1000th video! :D

  • With shotguns, you might have a 2 3/4 chambered barrel that a 3 inch shell will fit in. But there isn't enough room for the 3 inch to open. Be careful what kind of barrel you have and what size ammo.

  • I hope your 1000th is like 40 MINUTES!!!!!!! that would be sweet

  • Hey Jeff, maybe you should get some .50 ammo boxes.

  • Can't wait to see your 1000th! Great vids Jeff :)

  • your thumbs be like sausages hahaha

  • one more video

  • One american dies every hour from a gun acsident

  • @DuckSmuggler1 Get the fuck over it and go back to grade school.

  • @practicalshooter913 what is that surpost to mean

  • @DuckSmuggler1 MANY Englishman embarrass themselves every hour by misspelling words.

  • @DuckSmuggler1 is that the guns fault or the persons?

  • @DuckSmuggler1 I die every time I see that internet losers fail to finish school.. o,O

  • @DuckSmuggler1 4 Americans die every hour from an automobile "acsident". Guns in legal hands should be the last of our worries.

  • Dont put rounds in a bag! Hmmmm why not?

  • I once shot an AR-15 and the round exploded in the chamber when I shot it. I wasn't hurt (since it was a .22 caliber) just felt like something hit my hand. Wasn't fun :P But it was a freak thing and hasn't happened since.

  • You should record a video when you disassemble the bullet (assuming you haven't already). I'd find it interesting, personally.

  • I just bury the bullet, it will erode to the point of no danger within a month.

But it's underground too, so even if it did somehow go off it wouldn't be dangerous.

  • i hope the 1000th vid is a contest ,that wood be a beast hahaha

  • Hey Jeff, try a bullet puller from Midway dot com..its a big time reloading and gun supply store here in Mo where i am from..great prices and had free s/h last time i ordered..not sure if you re-load your own ammo yet but it is fun/relaxing and helps save some bucks in the long run...the Lee challenger kit (around 100.00 way back then).. is what i started off with and comes with pretty much evthing you need..I know you have plenty of hobbies but i think you might really enjoy it..take care...dak

  • Instead of using pliers use a kinetic hammer its safer and they only cost about $20.00. Thanks for posting. Keep up the good work and Keep sharing the knowledge!!!

  • I SERIOUSLY doubt that happened from bouncing around in a bag. Neck tension should be strong enough to where you shouldn't be able to move the round deeper into the case without substantial effort (IE a press). My guess is crappy quality control at HPR and you just didn't notice it when you put it in the bag.

  • Well if you have ammunition like that, this could also happen, when chambering a round, when the bullet hits the feeding ramp. Sometimes this leads to a jam and sometimes the round is chambered like that. Should be safe to shoot.

  • shit that went fast it seems like you were jsut at like 830 vids and now ur one away from1000

  • Comment removed

  • i had one of those bullets pop out on one box of bullets i bought.. sad man really sad...

  • 999 video's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1000 coming up!!!

  • Hey man I'm not sure the bag caused that.....takecare Remington had alot of bad 9mm ammo one time. It happens

  • lol i just burry the round

  • one more vid :]

    congratulations jeff

  • hey cutlerylover wat u gonna do 4 your 1000th video?

  • @playdrums so far its 20 minutes long and Im not done with it yet

  • @cutlerylover sounds good cant wait for it :)

  • @cutlerylover LOL nice one jeff!

  • @cutlerylover wow. i can hardly contain myself. i cant wait.

  • @cutlerylover Hahaa. your awesome.

  • @cutlerylover lmfao you should make a 5 hour 1000th video lmfao

  • @cutlerylover NO make it short plz

  • @playdrums lol youll see why its long, dont want to give it away..

  • @cutlerylover Hello, "don't". Corrected.

  • @cutlerylover for taking apart the bullet you got like a kind of hammer where you put the bullet in and if you smash the hammer on something hard the bullet will get apart save but i forgot the name of the hammer

  • @cutlerylover im thinking he got blocked

  • @cutlerylover i said you hpr sucks

  • @kluis01 oh ok...this batch was the 1st batch they made, which was factory reloads, perhpas the crimping was crappy on the one round hense the issue, maybe not a storage issue at all
