  • Was it Rosaleen dad that shot the She-wolf?

  • This IS the same author of The Bloody Chamber, n'est-ce pas ? That was gratuitously sexist in retrospect, my apologies, I just hate to see this Legacy winding up a joke with all this Twilight nonsense.

  • Figo, glad mia Italiana amica posted this link on lei profilo...

  • Loved this scene

  • I agree to an extent - this IS the SECOND best werewolf film of all time, definitely the best story, but, c'mon, American Werewolf..???

Put your Hyper-feminist jam-rags away, ladies; Yes, this is a bastardized version of the tale, but who wants to go watch a film about menstruation?

The worst kind of WOMAN is hairy on the inside 2 - and you's change your that every month!!

I'm gonna carry on reading the comments, and if I see anything about f€#king Twilight I'll be back to get u.

    Anonymous-ish.

  • I just noticed - this scene is kinda like " wolf alice", from the same book as the company of wolves....

  • how could anyone not like this scene?

  • The actually story of the Wolf-girl, it was child, a girl about 8 years of age. Leave it to Hollywood do screw up a well known legend by aging the character just so men can have their 'eye candy' I fucking hate Hollywood.

  • @Tebok73509 This film isn't faithful to any of the tales that it's based around. I don't know if you've seen the entire thing but it's in fact all just the dream of the girl who tells this story. The whole thing is a metaphor for sexuality, really and it's not actually a Hollywood-style film at all. For example the big theme of the film is from L Red Riding Hood, but it's not the actual tale. This section may not even actually be based on the Wolf-girl story you're thinking of. Who knows? :)

  • Poetry in the shadows...

  • she should have turned back into a wolf

  • This film is beautiful for so many reasons. But this scene in particular is just fantastic.

The music is haunting and gothic in such a sad way and it's so inspirational. It does for adults what Labyrinth did for children. In a more serious way perhaps. :)

    Thank you for the upload.

  • My favorite scene as well, but I love the entire movie. It's one of the best movies ever! It's so beautiful, haunting, and scary in a lovely way (?).

  • Saw this film when I was four. I'll adore it forever.

  • omg lol the first time i ever seen this movie..is was halfway thru and way early in the morning..tripped me the fuck out..years later i finally seen the whole thing =D

  • you guys have geat taste in movies , many people forget film is a ARTFORM , just like boormans ''excalibur'' you can hit freeze frame anytime and see beauty.

of course neil jordan was creative associate on excalibur !

  • Absolutely wonderful movie. And great segment. I love it.

  • dont shoot the wolf!

  • love this film, it's one of my 2 faves. And Graham Crowden *& Danielle Dax were just excellent!

    coraclewoman

  • Whenever I see those tears on the wolfgirl's face it makes me want to cry...

  • My favorite scene too! I'm not sure why, but it's so hauntingly lovely...

  • The Company of Wolves is one of the greatest films from Irish Director Neil Jordan and this scence is a classic.

  • he is truly a man of god

  • The best werewolf movie ever 2 exist, is defently "The howling" or "Van helsin " :D

Plz. Cimment if u disagree :d

  • I quite like all werewolf movies unless they make them look stupid. This movie is just cool because of how it is so chock full of metaphores (if I spelled that wrong I'm sorry). It just makes people think so they like it. Nothing more nothing less.

  • @losaryn I disagree. The Company of Wolves is, in my opinion, the best werewolf movie ever made, and the Huntsman is the best werewolf ever. I actually thought Van Helsing was...well, kind of dumb. I actually took my username from The Company of Wolves.

  • @losaryn Both of those are screamingly gay.

Have you never seen An American Werewolf in London, or even Ginger Snaps for that matter?

With these choices, I'm expecting you loe the Twilight stuff don't you?

If so, you don't like werewolf movies, just tweenage angst movies.

I hope you don't. Always wanted to name my daughter Rosalee...

  • @v1ct0rth3cl34n3r do you mind if i cut your balls off?

  • Wonderful music! One of my favourite films and soundtracks.

  • That white rose turning red for blood... so gorgeous effect. Gorgeous like the whole movie.

  • ive always wondered what this story meant. what was the symbolization. As well as the rose...

  • Agreed, this has always been my favorite scene since I first saw this movie. Danielle Dax, though she is in "costume" is very beautiful in her portrayal. And forgive me for saying this, but the hair she has in the scene, all long and full, I very attractive.

My only issue with it, the scene is too short lol. I love the story but it should have been longer.

Anyway thanks imanicecreamcone for posting. Its such a good scene to watch over and over again. Such a beautiful story.

  • @zombiejlt1 I honestly think that's the most hair anyone's seen on a woman in about thirty years.

    Quite reassuring, really. :D

  • Beautiful!!!:)Guedes

    5*

  • I know, I just love this scene, it's so gorgeous! :)
