Not too bad :) Downpipe, Tune and Intake have landed a few guys on the Cobalt club into the 13.1-12.8 range. It's amazing what small displacement 4-bangers can do these days.
haha! I'm so glad you put this video up. After all the shit you've been talking, it takes some big nuts to put a video up of your car doing high14s. I'll give you that at least.
I recommend checking out my other video running low 14's along with the guys with minor mods and in one case just a tune running 13.8-13.4's. The temperature was 32 with the humidex on the most recent video. Believe me, my car is bone stock and I run consistent times. 14.3 and 14.2 aren't bad times stock when the weather is hot and humid. I have nothing to hide :)
@8BALT The end of your video clearly states how cold it was. those 14s are in cool weather. and you have been pushing that the Cobalt SS/TC runs low 13s out the box. Not so. That's all I'm sayin'
Cold? 31 degress celcius with the humidex, 89% humidity isn't cold. I dunno the fahrenheit reading but i'm sure it's close to 90. That's hot and humid. Marin007 ran 13.6 on a cooler day and he has the vid to prove it stock. If there was no humidity and it was 17-21 celsius with no humidex I garuntee it would have ben high 13's. Ill be bringing my camera when we go again in September or October so well see then.
@8BALT Vid says "despite how cold it was." 15c in the description is 59F. for you to suggest that humidity and temperatures shave one and a half seconds is rediculous. To this day, there is still no evidence of a Stock cobalt running low 13s out of the box. This is mid 14s at 59F.
@8BALT The problem with that is that I never trust a one-off of anything. I do a lot of statistics and his one video would not be enough change the mean of the population. Your videos are concistent with the majority. But still, this is not low 13s stock. This car runs pretty equal to the SRT-4. If you were to actually draw a line graph, the two cars would intersect at several points.
Yeah, I do admit and aways have that 14.1-14.3 is pretty much my average time. SRT was averaging 14.3-14.6 when I had it stock. Cobalt has a slight edge once you get moving but the SRT launches waaaaay better. Considering both dyno between 230-240 hp on average its close but the Cobalt goes better on the top end.
i ran those numbers stock in my 09 si sedan n a 14.2 with bolt ons and a 13.6 with tune

Just found out from a buddy that the Civic had itb's, intake, and a header. And better tires. Pretty good gains over stock for N/A imo.

I should add, the Firebird was actually a Camaro and I mistakenly labelled the Focus as an Escort.
