  • ヤッパリ私の土曜日の定番ソングだネ!~テルマ・ヒューストンのダンシング・ディスコソウルの必殺チューン"SaturdayNight&SundayMorning"

  • has anybody got the words to this awsum song plez

  • this song always, always, ALWAYS reminds me of the period in the late 70s and early 80s when I'd drag my hungover butt home at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning still wearing my Saturday nightclub clothes. Those times were almost too good to be true.....

  • テルマ・ヒューストンのFREE・SOULの乗りなら、決まって"SaturdayNight&SundayMorning"~これでGOOD・FEELINなれねばソウル失格!

  • I keep asking: Is there anything nicer, hotter, better than late 70's pop music?

Never before or after pop music sounded more stylish and elegant than in the late 70's. Thelma Houston and her disco hit still makes my best Saturday nights shine on my Sunday Morning face....33 years later!

  • Thelma hit #34 in Billboard, 6-2-79. God bless ya, sister Thelma. Thanx for postin' it.

  • I had a friend who was the DJ at the club I hung out in. He knew I loved this song and always played it as the last song of his set on saturday night....

  • Sad but true that Thelma can sing Whitney (neice) under the table!

  • i noticed that many of the 90's house tunes are based off of 80's disco. t-empo made a good house mix of this.

  • may be disco but great beach shaggin music

  • Hit #19 soul, #34 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • Great song !!!!!

    The Disco lives !!!!!

  • OMG.., this is a Saint Disco classic on the early hours of Sundays...,a favorite of my friend Frank Megaro & Joey Bulfaro.., hoope they play this at TRIPPIN ON THE MOON next month....

  • @jorgenyc5

So True !! This song reminds me of the Great times I had at The Saint !!

  • Houston...we have no problems here...great tune!

  • damn this sounds good

  • make sure you check out Thelma (and CeCe Peniston also) on the Sisters of Glory album

  • You ain't never lied! They are singing their heads off on this album. Thelma's one take of SURELY GOD IS ABLE is worth the purchase alone.

  • I remember seeing "Ella" at the gay club "Lochlan's Tavern" in Richmond, VA way back in 1980! What a show!

  • Thanks so much. I used to love to watch the female impersonator Ella Fitzgerald perform this at Ziegfelds in Washington, DC. It bring back many fond memories.

  • morning music at "the saint", is this a remix? it sounds a little different than i remember

  • I think it was slowed down a lot when played as the transition song, back in the day. :)

  • was it? that could be

  • It's not the 12'. I think there's a few versions. Beautiful tho huh?

  • i love the song, but i like the original untouched better

  • Absolutely. Sadly it never got airplay.

  • never got airplay? It was the song that prevented Houston from being a one hit wonder, it made the top pop 40 (but didn't get very high)

  • True, but they STILL call her a one hit wonder. LOL

  • Fantastic! Love this song.

  • One of my very favorite songs from the disco era. A million thank you's for posting this.

  • Muy buena cancion. Buen ritmo disco.

  • Great song, but it always sounded like a blatant ripoff of Teddy Pendergrass's "I DOn't Love Anymore"? Is it by the same songwriters?

  • makes me feel sooooo good!

  • I love this song and brings so many memories from my youth in the 70's. DISCO music rules forever! Thanks for posting.

  • I LOVE this song! Thanks.

  • THANKS FOR RESPONDING; yeah the 79 version Ive only heard a couple of times; and ITS BEAUTIFUL (Its so much better than this version). THANKS for your sharing anyway; HOPE YOU or ANYBODY ELSE can find it!

  • Awesome Song. Thanks for adding it.Absolutely love it. Wasn't even around when it came out....lol :). Just heard it in a club a week ago. I agree this version does sound a bit different. If you love this song. You might want to check out a track called "Silly Love Songs" by a New Zealand group called "Ardijah". There's a live version on youtube, but I wish someone could add the CD one.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this! I asked someone (a Thelma Video Poster) if they could post this one. I havent heard this song but a few times total; and I love it. This is excellent QUALITY btw. Is this the 79' version? I seem to recall less KEYBOARD and more disco sound, though I VERY WELL may be wrong. Anyway, thank you, regardless. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE 12 INCH DISCO VERSION of this one (GOOD QUALITY)?
