We used to use these when I was a Boy Scout and I've been trying to figure out what they were called for a long time, so thanks! They are AWESOME saws. I agree with you. BEST pack saw for survival, period.
Have you ever used Bocco Blades made in Sweden? I am a Landscaper who has used them for many years and I have never found a better blade in my life..They are beyond sharp and retain their sharpness for a very long time, not to mention, cut through any species of wood as if it were butter. Give it a try if you haven't, you'll be SOLD!
I ended up with the 21 inch Sven and love it! Its basically one step down from lugging in a chainsaw and its way lighter! I like big fires and that means a lot of thicker wood and this thing goes through logs like they're made of cardboard LOL!
People are strange - don't let it bother you. Nice video. Thanks for the info. I'm debating between the 15" and the 21". 21 is probably easier and more effective processing wood but a pain to fit in the pack.
Dude, I know exactly what you're talking about with the whole clown thing comment you got. For every troll on youtube there is the polar opposite where the person is way too serious about youtube "etiquette". I left a light hearted comment on other channel once only to have the guy come back with a pissy remark because it was not spot on in regard to his video. It left me scrathing my head and not wanting to watch any more of his vids. Keep up the good work.
@MrB0TT I’m with you 100%…I’m pretty much an easy going lighthearted person myself but his message – for whatever reason – really rubbed my fur the wrong way. Could be because I was on vacation enjoying life, then I had to complete my taxes, as it turns out the state I reside in ran out of money for the energy tax credits I was counting on so I owe thousands; it was about this time that I logged on to YouTube and read his PM…normally I would not have given it another thought.
@iawoodsman Yeah, it seems like a very well built saw that would last many years. Can't go wrong with the anodized aluminum construction. Thanks for the comment.
I really like that saw and I will search for one on ebay. This is so compact that it could be placed in a sling pouch over your bed roll and tucked in to keep it in place. Great item. Now for the clown deal, whatever.....a clown...come on. You would think people would have other things more important to do with their time than to grawl over that. Keep up the good work and we love your videos, thanks.
@2Bibleppl You'll love the saw for sure...check amazon to compare prices as well. Thanks for the comment and thank you for your support; much appreciated.

The clown wasn't so scary, it was his teeth. How's that Sven saw hold up the Sawvivor if you've tried one?

@drcstudios Have not tried the Sawvivor, but the Sven is AWESOME!

I have owned one of those saws for about 20 years. Great piece of kit. Don't let those guys get to you. It is the internet after all.
