All these people saying "Blackbeard is a pussy and dependent on his DF, Ace or Luffy could beat him" don't know shit. He TAKES more damage than the average human and still walks away victorious in every fight. He took Ace's strongest attacks, Luffy's Gear Second punch, shit even Whitebeard's quakes and got back up almost straight away. The only people to walk away from Whitebeard's attacks were the Admirals. He's defeated everybody he's directly fought. His physical capabilities are outstanding.

To be honest blackbeard power is not absolute.Darkness is gravity if you can dodge it you wont get caught.If Ace could somehow dodge the darkness he may win the fight.That's not all Teach got an other weakness.He is completly depending on his Devil Fruit which means psysicaly he is weak.People like Mihawk who are fast and strong can beat him easily.Same goes for Ace its just he got caught unprepared.If you can over power Teach and if you are fast enough to dodge darkness = win(Ace could do that)

1) The emphasis is you CAN'T avoid it, because it drags everything in - It's how even managed to catch Luffy in gear second.

2) He now owns the darkness fruit & Whitebeards Quake fruit - the strongest Paramecia type

People can't seem to understand that Blackbeard is shown to be Luffy's main "nemesis" or "rival" at the current point in One Piece & even though he's the complete opposite of how every other "D." has acted people assume he's a nobody character in the story.

So...apparently Blackbeard does not have any vital organs.

Although he says his body is still (somewhat) normal, being pierced through his heart and lung(s) didn't do anything.

Even ridiculously durable Whitebeard showed more reaction to such injuries than BB.

Logic aside, Blackbeard is awesome. He represents everything a pirate should be: cunning, deceptive, ambitious, selfish...he's just a little stupid, when it comes to fighting and doesn't stay focused.

@FimbulvetrFrost Logic is logic, and we could be sad & discuss that, but imperfections aside :D I personally love Blackbeard as a character. His fighting style is almost got to change drastically now that he owns Whitebeards quake fruit when he learns to use it well

Also, outside of being cocky in fighting, he is a pretty funny character and as his character develops in terms of stature, fight scenes with him vs Luffy would be AWESOME!@. Not to mention, who doesn't wanna know what the "D" is?
