This was a great commercial. It pays a very good tribute to the original classic film; it gives a modern feel to a classic without dystroying the plot. Since everyone at least bears resemblance to the characters in the movie nothing is lost there; they even got the backrounds correct with the locations that it takes place in. The only innaccurate thing here was that Raplhie put on the costume before opening the big present NOT after. The commercial gets 4.5 stars for almost being perfect.

Since all the others are new actors, I assumed Santa & elf are new also. I tried watching Santa's lips as he spoke to see if they match up with the audio track -- it's hard to tell.

@JMFabiano524 I looked at this scene side by side with the same scene from the movie. They ARE different. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the Santa scene shown here is an outtake from the movie. The actor playing the elf looks dead-on to the one in the movie. If all of this is original, they did a fantastic job of matching it to the scenes in the movie.
