All I have to say is the seats in that grand caravan don't look all that sturdy. If i had to choose between being in the Caravan or the Accord, I would definitely take my chances with the Accord. Plus its a Honda so it probably just drove away after the crash test.

Everyone is praising the accord of course... I'm more impressed with the caravan considering it took most of the force because it was going a lot faster. Heaven forbid an american vehicle is better then an import. The driver's air bag in the caravan didn't rupture when the dummy hit it like the accord.

The Caravan was the worse performer here, it did well structurally, but the airbag didn't provide enough retention to hold the driver's head, causing the head to bottom out the airbag. The driver had nearly a 700 HIC level, there's a possibility of a minor-moderate head injury. Sure, the Honda's airbag ruptured and the driver bottomed out, but it provided JUST enough protection, more than the Caravan. I don't like either vehicles, so this is coming from an unbiased fact.

@crazynwguy the caravan was moving fast but the car took worst impact because energy is transferred to the stationary object, the caravan is more massive and was carrying alot of momentum.

The accord is stationary. That equates to about 33 -35 mph into a solid wall. Lower than what the IIHS uses.

impressive, for such a fast hit. minimal to no intrusion to the passenger compartment on the honda. any other midsize, you'd be pinned in by your legs.

The Caravan was going about 65-70 Mp/h and the Accord is a 2004 while the Caravan is a 1996.
