  • very weak and muddy

  • what do u think of using a crate gt1200 head with a behringer eq?

  • Too muddy for my taste. Example not set.

  • Maybe its the pickups the HZ are a bit muddy by their nature

  • does that Behringer eq work real well in creating tones my friend?

  • Hey man. Whats the song in the beginning of the vid?

  • sounds bit muddy

  • Oh, I am jeallous.

I only own a Velveking that I boost with a Digitech Bad Monkey.

With the boost the Lead Channel sounds similar to a 6505 just with less definition and less bite.

  • I've played on a Valveking 212 at the music shop where I work. It sounded pretty good. You should look into a 6505 though. I would love to add a Valveking head to my collection.

  • I guess for the clean ,right?

I think the clean is the best channel and really better than the Lead Channel.

The Lead Channel is ok for the price.

I would like to look into a 6505 but the price for a 6505 is much higher(taxes, shipping etc).

Used a 6505 is available for 800-900 euro.

But I also like the high-gain sound of a XXX.

One can get a XXX fpr about 700-800 euro used.

But at the moment I have no money, REALLY no money.^^

  • Im broke also lol. Im working towards a 7string now. And eventually another 6505 head as a backup. Have you ever played on an Engl Powerball? Those are amazing. and also 2 grand lol. Where are you from? I seen you are talking euro.

  • I live in Germany.

Th Engl Powerball costs 1499Euros in stores here.

    It is a bit cheaper.

I think the 6505 costs about 1200 euros in stores.

But there is a new 6505+ Combo out, right?

    60Watt or something like that.

I wish they would build it a a top.

  • The powerball is better than those you mention imho. How is it that they are so cheap there? Are they built there??

  • hey can you make video playing some parkway drive riffs on the 6505?

    im thinking about buying one...

    Thanks!

  • I own a 5150 II which I would say is amazing, best tones you could ever ask for in an amp. The closest thing you can get to an upgrade from a 6505 or 5150 is a high end engl

  • Yeah deffently, I would love to have an Engl Powerball head. If I had 2grand. My band Chronicles played a show with another band called Shall Be The Conqueror and one of their guitarist used an Engl Powerball. It sounded AMAZING. He was using a Vader cab.

  • yeah i would like jizz my pants if i had enough to buy a engl, ive seen some videos of Chris Broderick with a engl invader and ive never seen anybody get such good tones

  • mmm...peavey 6505 ordered one on 3/30/09 still waiting to get it. Sold out everwhere :(

  • ah man that sucks.. the wait will be well worth it. I was thinking of going with a Krank, but all a Krank is, is an over priced 6505 lol. You'll be more than happy with your purchase of a 6505. Trust me. I love this amp so much I'm planning on getting the 6505. I'm keeping this 6505+. Its been a good amp.
