The ball hits the side of the paddle. Instead of going diagonally, it bounces off in a straight line and wiggles up and down depending how close to the middle it hits. If it hits off the very edge, it wiggles up and down vigorously as it goes back (in a straight line). If it hits near to the middle, the wiggling is slight but it still bounces off in a straight line. It's as if the hspeed stays the same and the hspeed keeps reversing its self. Turned off collision checking and it didn't work.
@cjcowling6047 I still don't understand what the ball does exactly. Try checking whether "precise collision checking" is on in the ball & paddle sprites, if it is turn it off.
Don't stop the history parts of these. They're awesome. You pronounced Nolan's name as BOSH-NELL when it's more commonly pronounced as BUSH-NELL. Also where you the guy who said he was gonna do a square physics tutorial or is that another person?
