  • Whao whao lady, why it gotta be a white man?

  • she has no skin on her hands, bahh, tough woman though

  • i wish i had shoes like that

  • where could i buy mucklucks like these?

as i dont have the means to make any.

  • @captainobliterate where do you live?

  • @wrestlinfan92 Newcastle, England

  • fucking remarkable....

  • anyone know what show this one was from?

  • @richard2mitchell

Barren Lands s2 e5, same family in it.

  • White man's culture is dying out actually. Pride in ancestral ways is returning and people aren't always so attached to westernization any more. The only thing that is still around is the cell phone and computer. Many people don't even have those in some parts. They don't have to.

  • @rbsvy91368

That's a bit of an exaggeration.

Pay attention to what the Native American woman says about clothing in this video. She says they LIKE the white man's clothing, but they still prefer their footwear because it WORKS. These are practical people. Sometimes the ancestral ways are inferior, and sometimes they are superior.

  • @rbsvy91368 i always want internet but i agree.and stay away from cellphones bro!:)those things are like sticking your head in a microwave.Peace.

  • white man´s clothes LOL!!!!

  • THANKS oops. Thanks Ray Mears. Once again you trump Piss drinking Grylls. I am going to make a pair of these, but Im going to use Elk Skin in my MukLuks!

  • I wish I had this man's job, he's travelled all over the damn planet! lol

  • the smoking actuily waterproofs it.

  • i rather have moccasins than expensive snow boots. we use moose hide, too bad our native culture and language is a dying one

  • @originalMOON3R its very sad that it is ppl need 2 make more vids like this

  • @originalMOON3R Never say your culture is dying. You have to think positive. I know because truly the White Man's "way" of living is dying out. Not native culture. One day you will have your language and culture back. Why do you think there is all these earthquakes and hurricanes, tornados and such? They happen to wipe out the White man's ways and return the earth to normal. You have to speak your language, dress in the customs of your people, practice the spirituality of your people.

  • I want a pair of buck skin moccassins now :{

  • LMAO 0:01 it sounds like he sais she works on her butt skin lol XD

  • Yes, my co-workers are amazed at the amount of time and work that goes into making moccasins. They've watched me put together regular sized moccasins, and winter moccasins/Ligonier boots/shoe packs. It is a lot of work. But, I'd rather have learned how to do it, than to have to buy them. And, this way, they are made to fit us.

    Shawnee/Seneca/white.

  • 75% of the announcer's speech is unintelligible. Idiot!

  • @sirreal2u1 Maybe it's because he is speaking proper English or perhaps you can't hear him over that distracting whining sound that emanates every time you comment. I can hear it from here....

  • Man, I would love to live there so much, that is such a beautiful culture and country- cold, and nice, no damned creepy crawlies- - or not AS much!

  • @DARTAGNANS170 or he can speak two languages....

  • They have lost their language. Daniel was speaking French.

  • @DARTAGNANS170 Hear at 1:24

  • its funny how watching someone make moccasins or mukluks, you still find the arguement of who we are...did you ever take wonder at why CREATOR made North and South America red people, and all the other continents yellow, black and white? Theres a reason for that....and I know who I am and where my people originated.

  • t mobile, kiss my ass

  • natives have a distinct genetic DNA make up of their own ..we are not asian

  • dont you leave the deer fur on for a insulation???

  • Yes and today it is extreme expensive to buy a new pair of shoes if you wanna have quality.

  • Amazing work.

  • i have a lot of respect for the native peoples

  • I have original buck skin ''shoes'' and they are pretty comfortable.

Although, I would never trade my boots for these.

  • Actually, it is in Labrador. And Labrador is a part of Newfoundland, not Nova Scotia.

  • This was probably in Quebec

  • technically it is part of nova scotia but it is in the main land near northern quebec

  • Yay! Awesome :)

  • Where are these people living? They spoke french and they said something about Languedoc are they in France? LMAO! sorry i couldn't help it...

  • it's in Canada.

  • You are about as uneducated as they come, aren't you?

  • sorry man just muckin' about :)

  • Comment removed

  • I like the sound of the fire and wind at the same time, while she's making shoes i don't know why.

  • that is really not gonna make me but on of those cars !!!

  • Mukluk!

  • MUKLUKS

  • WHere is this in the world? He spoke french but I didn't understand the woman's language...:s

  • Alaska would be my guess, or northern Canada.. although probably more likely canada since he's speaking french

  • Labrador

  • It is in Labarador north of Quebec (Canada) and the woman spoke Montagnais.

  • they call themselves the Innu, but yeah i think youre right

  • They are Innuktituk peoples that barely speak their native language. its mostly bastardized french now. As a side note Most eskimo and Inuktiktuk have Mongolian ancestry, some are believed to be able to trace their roots back to Geghis Khan.

  • wrong...

  • They are all very similar in traditions and background, as well as dna...

  • natives=asians

  • I work at a Native Friendship center with the Innu (innuktituk people) and lots of first nations people. I get my information from a good source :) LOVE the caribou stew on thursday in winter ... makes beef seem like mcdonalds crud.

  • well then there you go... i cant claim any such thing, so im gonna trust that youre right.

    caribou stew... sounds delish

  • shes wrong, natives here speak french and live just hours from moderm life 99% of there traditional ways are lost, the Canadian gov. literally LIES and makes up native peoples heritage and teaches it back to them and they eat it up, even defend it. Almost all natives here have been displaced from the US and arent who they claim to be aka Huron indians are mostly blackfoot etc. its all just perpetuating a myth, it would be like teaching a scottsman the traditions of Iran, thats how off they are

  • @brradsullivan

Pleased to say that you are absolutely incorrect. Your theory of "displacement" makes no sense, especially if you read the history of contact between Europeans and First Nations in Canada. One good source is the Hudson's Bay Company Archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. You'll see that there was a very large population of Aboriginal people in Canada at the time of European contact (first contact was often via the HBC traders). Best wishes -- and remember: fact, not fiction.

  • you completely misread my argument i wasnt implying that there werent any indians in north america i was making a commentary that there were thousands of different tribes and although they lived in relatively close proximity to each other they still had very different cultures. once white settlers arrived in the americas the resulting famine, wars and migrations killed off MOST of the natives that were here and destroyd the cultures of the rest, as a result natives really dont know who they are

  • The Innu are not inuktitut. Inuktitut is one of the languages spoken by the Inuit. Innu are different; they are the Montagnais and the Napaski. Please message me if you think there's an error in my comment.

  • "We have had white mans clothes for a long time, and if I tell you white mans boots are the best too, I'm out of a job".

  • Whatever, i would buy his boots even if they were not that good, wich they aren't. But i doubt he really is a shoe salesman anyway.

  • If you've ever made these, you know they are extremely difficult to make.

  • Yes, very interesting. Its a great reninder that I can walk into a retail store adn pick out my shoes/ boots. Goodnees, what hard work goes into making these things.

  • You must respect the hard work old generations put into making footwear.

  • Just remember that 50 years ago, simply buying a new pair of shoes was out of the question. People actually paid to have shoes repaired.

  • @writer2b62 You do realize much more work goes into your shoes right? It's just done by 10 yr old Malaysian kids so we can buy them for less than they're actually worth.

  • @writer2b62 You won't be able to do that for very much longer.

  • @writer2b62 I made mucklucks out of your mom's distended, blown out asshole...I'm wearin them in Dick James' Galapagos video!

  • Great video, really interesting.

(PS, you're all idiots with this first, second, third shit.)

    ~Frosty.
