الرماد هو بقايا الحطب او الفحم اذا اصبح الفحم احمر او الحطب احمر فانه يصبح هشا ومن ارتفاع الحراره التي يلقاها يصبح غبار متراكم وياخذ لون قريب الى الفضي غير لامع
Your guess at the English "sky blue" was correct, and "azure" is basically another word for the same thing, possibly slightly darker. There is also "light blue" which is generally lighter than "sky blue". The definitions are not extremely consistent since English is not standardized.
شكرا لكي يا مها , تابعي هذا المجهود الرائع لتعلمي هذه اللغة التي يتكلمها كثير من البشر في هذا العالم , و تخيلي كم من البشر سيستفيدون من هذه المعرفة حول العالم .
Maha, I love your videos. I have some friends that are teaching me Arabic, and your videos are helping to supplement what they're showing me. One quick question, for the spelling of the feminine versions, are you adding taa marbuta to the end?
اعجبتيني يا مها الله يوفقك و يهديك .. شيء جميل تعلمين الاجانب لغتنا العربيه وهذا يدل على افتخارك بلغتك العربيه الجميله التي قال عنها الكثير من الغرب انها لغة فريده من نوعها وليس لها مثيل في قوة المفردات و تنوعها وتناغمها .
Yes in English you call it "Azure" but you don;'t pronounce the r like you did, that's the only difference. You kinda pronounce it to rhyme with "sure".
Ciao Maha! Volevo chiederti, i colori al femminile come vanno scritti? Voglio dire, con un alif maqsura, una ta marbuta o una normale?
سودى oppure سودا oppure ancora سودة ?
Grazie mille in anticipo, e complimenti per le tue lezioni, prima che cominciassi l'università sei stata la mia prima insegnante d'arabo, ed è anche merito tuo se mi ci sono appassionato! ^_^
Dear Maha, first of all, WOW pretty face and good teaching... keep up the good work... i jst wanna add a little note here: u forgot the color brown... "بني" which i think has the same pattern as orange and gray (the color of Ash) in converting between the masculine and feminine forms... also, i think these three colors (orange, gray, and brown) are derived from actual objects, e.g. -orange from the fruit (as u said) -gray from the Ash "رماد" -brown from the coffee beans "بن"
HI Maha, great video. Just a little comment. For the color "Ramadee", it's the same as "Burtoqalee", because it refers to "Ramad" (which means Ash) as "Bortoqalee refers to "Bortoqal" (=oranges).
The lessons are great. You sound just like my teacher and give good explanations on the pronounciations. However I had to ask my friend how to write aswad as the letters were hidden by your black hair. lol. So it ends with a dell unlike the earlier colours
Maha FYI Ramad means ash and as you know the color of ashes is gray. and thats where Ramadee is derived from. thank you for your efforts to teach Arabic to people you're awesome. =)
Hi Maha thanks for explanation, only one suggestion I have if you put numbers in your videos we can easily follow now we are going to different videos.
@bebegique I'm assuming you already knew the answer already but if anybody else wants to know, "BROWN" is "BOONEE" and "PURPLE" is banafsejeeyah. I don't have an Arabic text in my computer to transliterate it into Arabic text.
I've noted that you wrote BORTOQALEE but also BORTUQALEY, and RAMADEE but also RAMADEY. To become feminine, they need to mantein the "Y". In fact they are BORTUQALEYYA and RAMADEYYA.. but is it the same if I write BORTOQALEE or BORTUQALEY for example?
Notice that I've not learned to write in Arabic letters yet! lol
I promise I'll start to do this, but first I want to have a little fun in knowing some good amount of words.
um sorry , "Ramad" does have a meaning in arabic ,it means " ash" in english which is grey, and that why we add the "ee" to get "ramadee" which means "grey" , so it's kinda like the way we get the word "bortoqalee" :)
Ooh, okay, making the colors feminine seems easy enough, you just move the vowels over one letter to the right! Azraq- ZarqA; Ahmar-HamrA; Asfar-SafrA, etc. Thank you, Maha!
i think you're wrong das 81..green in arabic is aghdar and before prayer you say Allah AKBAR..wich means Allah is great. so its not akbar but greeen is aghdarrrr..there's a difference.
What is the best dialect to learn after MSA? How long does it take to learn a dialect if you are proficient in MSA? How hard is it to maintain multiple dialects at the same time? How intelligible are the dialects between one another?
BTW, I have another question. The akhbar you exposed here as green, is the same akhbar that islamich mujaidins say before inmulate themselves-"Allah Akhbar"(Green god?, I know green is islam colour, but please answer my doubt).
The word you hear it said by the Islamic Mujahidins is "akbar" which means "great" OR "the Greatest", so when they say "Allah Akbar" it means "God is the greatest".
Now, the word "green" in Arabic is "Akhdar"... you may be right that they look alike, but they are different.
Please note that "k" = ك
while "kh" = خ for Arab people.
I hope my explanation was helpful, and thanks for your interest.
well i'll give the benefit of the doubt i'll satify you curiosity well mate allah akbaar means god is great (al might god is great) not green there is a massive deference between akhdar which it is green "color" and akbar alright mate !

The word you hear it said by the Islamic Mujahidins is "akbar" which means "great" OR "the Greatest", so when they say "Allah Akbar" it means "God is the greatest".
