the lightsaber fights change drastically from the ot to the prequels. before you would never see anything like this just a little back and forth, now you have yoda bouncing from walls, spinning around w lightsaber behind the back ,etc even the speed is so much faster. the better tech makes watching the old ones feel like why are they moving so slow or why did they seem so much more "athletic" before....

@JP88871 According to Mark Hammil, Lucas described light sabers as "heavy" requiring both hands, he wanted them to wield it like Knights used to wield Longswords. Which is why they never did more flipping around and what have you back then. Course he totally threw that idea out now! xD

See this should have been the only time yoda ever fought i think. I mean the shock and awe of this scene (the only good scene in episode 2) was that we never knew yoda even had a lightsaber whereas in 3 he uses it too much and theres like no awe to it.

I am 36, saw the first trilogy in the theatre numerous times. My whole generation was just transformed by these movies, nothing had ever been done like them.

When I went to see this one, and yoda came walking in and gave a battlecry jumping into a lightsaber duel, everyone (and they were mostly people my age or older) stood up and cheered. Lol this one guy behind me yelled "kick his ass yoda!" and people started yelling it.

Wow, the magic lives on.

I remembered that when I saw this lightsaber duel for the first time in theatres, the crowd was literally cheering "YO-DAAA!"

It's too bad that good lightsaber duels only last a few minutes. (Well I guess you could call the Anakin versus Obi-Wan duel on Mustafar an exception...)
