  • Que viva Linda!!.....she is helping, keeping it going...

  • WHEN ARE FOOLISH WE SING IN OUR DRUNKNESS "TU SOLO TU" NEVER AGAIN

  • She is the only one I love. Viva Linda.

  • Steve is a friend of our family. Great song.

  • Linda and Mariachi Cobre are natives of Tucson, AZ and are active in the annual Tucson International Mariachi Festival. If you're ever in the area, it's a great program which is teaching our youngsters the tradition and heritage of mariachi music.

  • @cakeboy1970 However to me she was better than people like Lila Downs who has done pretty much every genre from mexico and was partially raised in mexico. Linda and Eugenia Leon(also has done almost every mexican genre) were about the same but Eugenia's voice is still in top shape. She's a great interpreter. I like linda better than Vikki Carr. But the songs can be sung better. Linda does great in her DVD and her vocals are amazing but to me theres something missing from the way she sings them.

  • @Myke209 why upload her songs if you think shes not all that great?

  • @williamcrosthwaite Because she was. She can still sing but not that good. Also because I upload anything I see at concerts and stuff. I dont care much for mariachi cobre compared to other mariachis but I upload their videos. Other people will appreciate them. But I have respect for Linda. In her prime she was bad ass. And she is still active in the mariachi community so I respect her for that.

  • . @cakeboy1970 shes just not BEST at it. Even though its hard to find good vocalists in Mexico these days, there are better female vocalists. Now dont get me wrong, when her voice was healthy she did amazing things in the mariachi world but I honestly can't think of her singing every mexican genre like the best from mexico do/did. You really have to study the music to know how to interpret it.

  • @cakeboy1970 she doesnt sing with the same spirit as true mexican singers though. i like linda better with the music she started doing. more rock or soulul stuff like that performance of its in his kiss with phoebe snow is the shit. and she was amazing in pirates of penzance but theres better interpreters of mexican music than her. selena and linda opened me up to mexican music but id prefer to listen to singers like Lucha Reyes, Lola Beltran, & male artists. Theres just more authenticity in it.

  • Wow Linda Ronstadt knows her Spanish! She even changes the lyrics and surprises her listeners

  • Mira como ando mujeeeeeer

  • I think she dies OK.

Still think she was influenced by Lola Beltran!

  • Well her voice is different so she has to use her voice the way it sounds best but she does list Lola as one of her influences among other artists like Lucha Reyes and a few others that slip my mind. Linda's not the best interpreter for Mexican music but she does have(had expecially in the 80's) a great voice and helped publicize mexican music even more to the US. I wish she would do more regional stuff though. Rancheras and Huapangos are more for singing but the other stuff is good too.

  • really makes you think about that special person in your life i love you joel f. your wife lupe

  • April fools I love it

  • I'm so greatful to hear this kind of music that my mother love's so much while she's still around. She has taught me so much. Thank u Linda!

  • Tu solo Tu, Sonia Ana Clements, Dick, Australia

  • I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO MEET HER!

and she's not trying to sound like Lola Beltran!! she actually sings better than her!..... REAL TALK

  • i was like 10 feet away from her in tucson for the mariachi conference! we stared at eachother and then i just looked away it was awkward lol. and when i went backstage she was doing vocal warm ups. i also had an experience with eugenia leon when i was talking to another harpist and eugenia just walked right in front of me and watched mariachis that were on stage playing like 5 feet to my left.

  • Do you even know who Lola Beltran was?

  • Yes i do, her birth name was actually Maria Lucia Beltrán who probly recorded close to 100 albums. why do you ask?

  • I can barely hear the mariachis here! She looks like she is trying to imitate Lola Beltran. WHY didn't the board operator turn up the mikes for the mariachis ( There ARE mariachis here, aren't there?)And there was a lady named Selena who sang this song and there was a group called Mariachi Sol de Mexico...NICE VERSION OF A VERY OLD MARIACHI SONG!

  • my camera sucks with audio cause i dont remember a problem with it there. i remember hearing every detail.

  • Linda doesn't have to imitate anyone. She is her own person, respected in almost every genre of music.

So Joeocho88 get a grip. Ronstadt is a heroine of American and Mexican music. If you can't accept that then you my friend have issues.

  • ¿Alguien ha visto lo obesa que está ahora esta cantante? Es una lástima que haya descuidado tanto su persona y su físico.

  • she's got a sweet voice in this one.

  • Chingonsísima! Linda se apropió tanto de la herencia musical paterna que su interpretación de ésta melodía es quizá la mejor de todas, incluidas muchas cantantes mexicanas.

  • Mira como ando hombre infiel! That was good.

  • This was one of my favorite Linda Ronstadt songs. I hope that this is on the movie "Canciones de mi Padre".

  • No actually its not. I have the movie. Too bad they didnt make a video for Mas Canciones cause theres some songs on there like Palomito de Ojos Negros, Tata Dios, La Mariquita, El Gustito and El Toro Relajo, that i would love to see her have done live in her vocal prime.

  • por favor de que año es este video de linda ronstadt, se ve que asi dabe de estar ahora creo yo , igual conserba su voz muy linda , viejitalinda chile 04-02-08. chaiito

  • i was there!! it was great, and she was great, but she should have dressed up a lil.

  • i was hoping she would wear her vestido jarocho like she did on some performances on youtube. and she would perform a couple jarochos like el jarabe loco. mariachis should do more jarochos in my opinion. theyre good for concerts like el palomo y la paloma, la tienda, el colas, la iguana, el coco, el pijul, el fandango jarocho, el ahualulco, el siquisiri, el canelo, canto a veracruz, mi veracruz, la vieja, or el torito jarocho besides common ones like el balaju, el cascabel, and la bamba.

  • yes me too!! i used to be in this group called Los Cenzontles before i was in a mariachi and their focus was more on jarocho and i sure do miss that. that music is so lively! lol you just reminded me of what my mariachi played today...we fell in love with el huateque that we played it at a gig today! jaja but yeah, i agree, i have seen her videos as well and i was a lil disapointed.

  • When did this concert take place in San Jose?

  • sept 29. it was great!

  • Viva Linda! Sixty-two years old and still going strong.
