put the eggs in cold water, always or else shelf will break/crack. what i do is start with cold water (with eggs) and cover with lid, when it boils, turn the heat off, without removing the lid for 4 minutes and you'll have yummy medium eggs, want softer yolk, 3-3.5 minutes. want hard boil eggs, set it aside with lid for 13 minutes. never try to keep boiling it, eggshelf might crack and the egg is ruined.

Heat sensitive.
Graduated scales show when eggs are soft, medium or hard by sensing heat instead of time.
Soft boiled eggs are exactly as you like them.
Hard boiled eggs are no longer over cooked, so they have the perfectly colored yolks and a smooth texture.
Eggtimer can be cooled on the counter.
Do not immerse the eggtimer in cold water.

室溫蛋:滾水落,煲滾水1分鐘,燱火焗5分鐘
不過個個火都唔同大細,出黎都唔同

I tried making this before ... it took me quite a few times .... of cos the first 2 times ... TOTAL FAILURE !!!
" TIME " is important... but I think it also depends on HOW BIG the egg is ... etc.

I did not try this before...
but I think is when the water boil, then put the egg in it. After that, put the egg in cold water.
