Tremolo and Ring Mod are actually similar effects when using the internal LFO, even though they sound very different. Ring Mod occurs when you turn the Frequency knob up so the LFO is in the "audio range" (above 40Hz or so). The Frostwave Blue Ringer can absolutely do typical Ring Mod, and it sounds great! As good or better than the Moogerfooger Ring Mod. So you only get the tremolo effect when the Frequency knob is turned way down low.
Interesting effect, I like it.
