We are getting to know more about saddlebred, they are truly amazing!!! It's really art that these horse are presenting, and they certainly enjoys to show their abilities. I think all forms of riding is great, so please show respect and don't talk down at the saddleseat riding and about these horses. Just the fact that these horse can do what they do, shows the extreme hard work on both the horse and their trainer/rider.

zoeyzoe u are a gross lame person, these horses are beautiful creatures. Saddleseat is a art...dont be mad just cuz u cant do it cuz your a jumper...jumping is horrible for thier legs

I'm guessing you have never been around a saddlebred or twh that has gone through this? There is such thing as decent saddleseat and this isn't it.

@SoftVelvet These horses are breed to do this, it comes almost effortlessly to rack/slowgait. I ride/show saddleseat, and i see no abuses (yes, few people are not very nice, but only about 1 in every 30

@zoweyzoe These horses are doing it on their own. We just give them the commands, the rack and slowgait is supposed to look like that, its just the way the horse moves. I know you obviously kno nothing about saddleseat/saddlebreds but try to get more knowledge BEFOR posting ingnorant comments

It's not a "tölt" with American Saddlebreds... it's the Slow gait and Rack. It's just a difference in style.

awesome, i just wonder how the horse knows to switch from a trot to a rack, i know it's training but what are the cues

raise and spread your hands, jiggle your bridle back and forth lightly and put a little leg on the horse and cluck. It's pretty easy.

beautiful horse i have a 5 gaited black gelding and my trainer who was in huntington beach just moved to kentucky to go train out there. saddlebreds in my opinion are the best breed.

He Went to Louisville last year, 2006. He showed in the first split of the Junior 5-gaited class. "Keep Me Posted" won the class.
