  • Keane - A Bad Dream! great song to go with a fantastic episode!! (laverne's death)

  • Um, did u forget when JD left and the one b4 it?

  • notice how the top two saddest have the dr cox as the most important character

  • 8:21 it is my favourite part in the whole series. Just seeing Dr. Cox getting angry/sad when we often see him goofing around, I don't know why but I just feel so moved...

  • can't argue with the list

  • Laverne's death breaks my heart everytime I see those two episodes it's spread out across, great video but didn't do her death justice, as that really is the saddest moment of any show in the world. :(

  • i cry every time on the last one

  • dr.cocks... whoever he really is, is such an amazing actor

  • the number 1 they showed and the final bit of season 8 are joined for 1st to me :')

  • They obviously forgot to include the final moments of the show as the saddest moment of all.

  • wat's the song called when doctor cox flips out

  • @dracoandahalfgump Its The Fray - How to save a life

  • 2nd best show on tv

  • @dracoandahalfgump whats the best show on tv ??

  • number 2 , winter, by Joshua Radin one of the most effective emotional song in my book

    thanks for the upload

  • Such a well done series from start to finish. Very few comedies, or really any other shows, are able to pluck at heart strings quite like this does.

  • dr cox in the last scene... amazing, moved me to tears

  • good god, why did i click on this? man was i asking fo rit

  • feels... feels everywhere

  • When the sad and bad happens in scrubs it really happens. No other show has been able to trigger such an emotional response from me before. Probably one of the better shows on television.

  • hahaha this show is so funny

  • I think the music really drove all of these home. Scrubs always has the perfect music!!!

  • The saddest scene to me is definitely the funeral...

  • the music choices were genious

  • what ep is number 3

  • Comment removed

  • 0:27"I'm no superman"

  • my finale also should be here

  • steak night episode was saddest

  • "my last words" "my finel"

  • My Last Words should be on here

  • the music makes these scenes so much more depressing!!!!!!

  • @chucctaylor617 I will follow you into the dark - by death can for cutie

  • I fucking love scrubs

  • I think the ending of 'My Catalyst' should be in here

  • #3 was cheating. If you played that song while a video of Lance Armstrong winning the Tour de France played, you would still cry. Oh wait, I did cry when i saw that, I am crying now, and next i am gonna watch at least a season of Scrubs

  • thumbs up if you wanted to see the 5 episodes after the video...

  • @joeplamberts I saw no.2 before i saw this video,and trust me,its hard not to cry infront of a tv.infront of people

  • Number 2 is the saddest but good list anyway

  • You got number 1 and 2 mixed up

  • @NeoShenron95 No he didnt, its just the it was supposed to be, The number one scene is actualy truth. ;)

  • Saddest scene for me is from the Sesame Street episode in Season 8, a woman is telling her son that his father is dying, and J.D. is crying while a slow version of the Sesame Street song plays and JD says "And that it's okay to cry." Always gets me right there. I also cried not because of sadness but because it was so great, the His Story with The Janitor, and the man with the computer. The ending brings tears to my eyes.

  • What was number 3?

  • u froget the one where the patient george dies, type in scrubs george that is the saddest moment in scrubs

  • My lunch that is all

  • The Fray. That is all.

  • the saddest part of the video is that i can actually count the pixels

  • @superman4linzi this comment sux , for real ....... these are realy sad moments which can happen to everyone to us und u post such a shit

  • @jqckY86 you are clearly not meant for this planet... i love scrubs and have seen every episode a hundred times... i just stated that i can get better resolution on a scientific calculator .... you just wanted to comment and seem all smart and hardcore when really you just come across across as ignorant and sad.

  • @superman4linzi lmfao

  • @superman4linzi scrubs is the only comidy/ drama the can actually teach life lessons, dont evan dis credit the vid if you arent putting them up

  • @heyheyyoyowassup im not discrediting the validity of the show im just saying the uploader put up a god awful resolution video..

  • @superman4linzi - Well the video does tell you it is 360 pixels :/

  • what's the name of the song playing in the beginning

  • @chucctaylor617 I'll Follow You into the Dark by Deathcab for a Cutie, I believe.

  • @chucctaylor617 its also at the ending aswell. its "i'll follow you into the dark" by Death Cab for Cutie.

  • one i thought was sad was the one where JD & Turk was going out but they stay with this guy because he didn't have no family

  • @Enormous930 that is my best episode. though i think of that as being a different kind of sad, a 'peaceful' kind of sad.

  • @Enormous930 "My Last Words"

  • @Enormous930 i think he filmed it on an Atari 2600, you can actually count the 8 colors on the screen too

  • @Enormous930 Love that episode. Might be my favorite because the patient is awesome.

  • @Enormous930 the one where they stay with George??

  • @Enormous930 My Last Words

  • @Enormous930 That's the only one that's made me cry!

  • @Enormous930 i think this applies b4 the writers strike when every show on tv died.

  • @Enormous930 I didn't see it as sad more touching or moving

  • @Enormous930 Stake Night!!!

  • lol at 2:13 colonel is walking through the scene :)

  • Seeing Dr Cox breakdown was just so powerful. I just wanted to cry.

  • Anybody knows those songs in this video ?

  • you picked exactly the right scenes and in the perfect order too :)

  • And once again Scrubs makes me cry like a little girl.

  • Enter Levernigan, now number 4 isn't so sad

  • @MrMonkeynigel do you not watch the show?

  • @TheVPloeg yes i do obviously, the same actress came back and JD called her Levernigan.

  • @MrMonkeynigel doesn't matter, Lavern was killed because the producer though that would be the last season, but it wanst obviously. but when she was killed we didn't know aloma wright would come back

  • I think number 1 and 2 should be switched, but it's just my oppinion

  • i think the only thing sadder than these scenes is the quality of the video.

  • @tragicRob In that episode, is the idea that Dr. Cox is in serious denial about it, or was that really a ghost?

  • @Elsteveo17Emo I ve always took it as denial.

  • The end of the last episode should be number 1

  • the music they play makes it even more sad :'(

  • what episode is number 3?

  • @111nimi It's from season 1 and the episode is called My Old Lady

  • I think nr. 2 is more sad because it's more personal and it toches you in a way that the other ones just can´t

  • Scrubs: one of the few shows that, no matter how many times I watch it, can still successfully bring tears to my eyes.

  • the saddest moment of scrubs history? the show being cancelled

  • @DaPatinador the show got cancelled??

  • i'd say the saddest scene is actually the final scene of season 8. the way he walks out and watches the film of his life, you get so caught up in it, then he brings you back to reality and says, "Who's to say my fantasies won't come true...just this once?" And then, it's over....it wraps everything up all nice, and then tells you it's just J.D.'s fantasy. There's no closure. It's really heartbreaking. I watched it two days ago, and I've been depressed ever since.

  • @jehlahdqyjean every time i watch that episode i get sad then i go back and watch the first episode

  • somehow scrubs always make me laugh my ass off in the funny parts, cry like i have never cried in the sad parts, and always see that first sunshine in the window that says i watches scrubs all night long

  • bens funeral and leverns death made me cry aint even going to lie

  • Scrubs always plays the best music to suit the scene ... Joshua Radins' WINTER makes the scene so much more powerful at Bens funeral..

  • 360p, we meet again.

  • This is amazing

  • I cant bear the scene when turk,jd,and elliott are talking to the relatives...

  • I think you should of added the episode where jd and Turk skipped out on steak night to help mr.valentine accept his death. They play the song "I'll Follow You Into the Dark" and it's pretty emotional. It's an episode early on in season 8. I've watched all these episodes many times and they all make cry!! Love scrubs -3

  • the 5 people to dislike this were actors in ER.

  • most of these of these: John C McGinley ladies and gentlemen!

  • Even in 360p, this show is amazing. Oh my God...is this a Youtube first?

  • 5 people are people

  • the thing i did wrong was when the "where do you thing we are" scene happened imagined that my mom was ben and i was perry....

  • The hell is there to 'dislike' about this? Five idiots...

  • Why are all Scrubs videos seemingly uploaded via a GameBoy Camera? This quality is fucking shit.

  • @123airtonify “GameBoy Camera” I actually lold

  • whene jd says remember what u told me its just devastating

  • My Lunch along with the Hey Ya song in the second part of the Bahamas episode always gets me.

  • Watched every episode, loved this show since it started. I still can not handle Dr. Cox breaking down and throwing the equipment and yelling. Perfect acting, I believe every second of it

  • Scenes like this is what changes scrubs from being a great sitcom, to an amazing tv show!

  • this show was really unlike any other its just amazing

  • I cried :/ fuck haters

  • Wats the last song from. It rings a bell

  • @TheAlec1996 how to save a life by the fray

  • These scenes are why I love scrubs, it has it's funny moments, but these moments are what makes it powerful.

  • cox's line at the end of one always gets me

  • The ending of "My Long Goodbye" when Carla says goodbye to Laverne... I just break down because it makes me think of my best friend and how I don't know how I'll get by without her. We never know what we have until it's gone.

  • The end of "My Lunch" gets me every time.

  • What is amazing about scrubs is how in one episode they can be funny then the next episode they can just turn around and be really emotainal.

  • @joshulator right? fucking amazing.

  • whats JD's proud speach

  • They are both the same situation

  • My bad too

  • why did they ever take this show off the air ..sooo good

  • @cutterslax23231 they made season 9, and it blowed, I mean the season finale (season 8) was amazing, simply amazing, but they tried to continue and failed

  • 5 & 1 arw the same episode

  • @mikeyb391980 They aren't. 1 is the episode My Lunch where the donor patients get rabies. 5 is the following episode My Fallen Idol where cox spirals and JD brings cox back.

  • The end of phillosphy always get me

  • I'd say "My Lunch" is the best episode of Scrubs. Or in the very at least the most powerful.

Seeing Dr. Cox break down. It's just simply beyond words.

  • @LukasNotLuke it shows how even the strongest of people who we idolize can break down to the sorrow or pain from tragic events also Leverns death makes me cry

  • The song hallelujah makes everything sad.

  • wheres the book of love by Peter Gabriel from the last episode i do believe any true fan would call the last episode of the true scrubs the saddest

  • "My Lunch" is the most emotional scrubs episode....

  • ba ba baba ba ba ba... ba....

  • The last sceen always make me sad but its my fave ep.

  • the amount of emotion put into this, is amazing :)

  • There is no way I could ever be a doctor. 8:22-8:41 is how I would be all the time.

  • you could have included george's death where the ending song is played

  • i like how the like button is bigger than the dislike button

  • When I first saw #5, man..I was like, "Holy shit..that's just blblbblblbb". That's the sound of a grown man blubbering with tears.

  • Fuck I forgot how sad scrubs could be. The last scene got me...

  • I have seen my screw up probably 20 some times and still i can't help but cry at the end. it is not only the saddest moment in scrubs history, it is the saddest moment in television history.

  • My Screwup is still imo the saddest TV-episode ever. It's odd how much you gravitate to Brendan Fraser's character Ben. I still get tears when I see that episodes and people who never seen the episode never expect that ending.

  • Oh my god. Shut up, K-Mart ads! This is a sad vid so please shut that obnoxiously cheerful music!

  • dude, 4 should be first. thinking about it makes me cry. thats the saddest thing ever

  • just awesome

i knew the forst one is gonna be that

my favourite episode of the entire show its just amazing

  • This is to me why Scrubs stands out from the other medical shows. Sure everyone remembers the hilariously funny bits, but when it wants to be, it can be extremely powerful, and unlike most of the others which tend to be one extreme or the other all the time and tend to make things a bit more muted, those two contrasting elements really amplify each other.

  • @mooglenaur go watch MASH....that is the perfect example of what you are looking for there are moments in that series where you can't stop laughing then it will go from great to bad in a very realistic way that only war can truly show.

  • @Ephraim32 Yes MASH is another great example of that....there's a reason it lasted so many season

  • What episode is Ben's death from???

  • pretty much whenever Dr Cox shows emotion, its freaking sad! I love him!

  • is there a link for JD's "proud" speech

  • those 3 deads where followd by cox's breakdown wheren't they?

  • Comment removed

  • My list

    1. Ben's death

    2. Laverne's Death

    3. 3 Deaths

    4. Cox's Breakdown

    5. JD's proud speech

  • @wornout13 ben's death definetly nr. 1

  • well if you think about it scrubs is quite a depressing programme but with funny bits in between the sad bits

  • what were the names of the songs for the 3rd clip and 4th clip?

  • @OwnTheUK2000 I am pretty sure that that are the songs you are searching for:

Place 5: Gary Jules - Something Else

    Place 4: Keane - A Bad Dream

Place 3: John Cale - Hallelujah

Place 2: Joshua Radin - Winter

Place 1: The Fray - How to Save a Life

    You are welcome!!!

  • now ima go watch the top 5 funniest moments from scrubs

  • The ending of Season 8 should be ranked up there. A part of me died when Scrubs ended. (And yes it ended at season 8, season 9 should have never happened)

  • The first time I saw "Ben's Death" I was totally blown away. Such a powerful episode. Never have I seen a show that moved me as much as that one did. Maybe with the exception of the M*A*S*H episode where Henry Blke was killed off.

  • My arrangement of these particular moments:

    1. Laverne's death

    2. Ben's death

    3. Dr. Cox's breakdown

    4. Old lady's death

    5. JD's "proud" speech

  • I can count the pixels in this video....and it's less than the amount of tears it has made me cry. ;-;

  • i know it sounds stupid but i started watching the show like 2 years ago, i've seen every episode like 6 times now, but all these scenes made me cry over and over...if you want to watch scrubs there is a youtube channel named theofficialscrubs4u

  • is it me or do they always choose the perfect music to compliment the episode?

  • As soon as the "Halleluja" song starts I cried a bit :( nice to hear that song after the speach of carla

  • Great clips and Great Video; here are my top emotional moments in Scrubs (excluding "My Finale" because that one is on another level)

    1. My Last words (George's death)

    2. Ben's Death

    3. Laverne's Death

    4. My ABC's ending

    5. My Jiggly Ball ending.

Viewers feel free to comment or make your own list :)

  • Good thing to watch when feeling emotionally constipated. Thanks for posting, I think we all can totally relate to each of the emotions portrayed in these segments on some level, and that's why scrubs is such an awesome show, it can make me laugh till I feel I might piss myself but sometimes it also makes me cry all the tears that I often keep inside. Wonderful show.

  • The last 1 is defo the saddest, the bit where Cox smashes up stuff and Carlas face looking scared, Not because shes scared of him just the fact that shes the only 1 who can usually control him but shes never seen him like this before.
