  • joe, the little man on the horse

  • McCAIN / PALIN have plans:

    1- create new jobs

    2- keep your investments safe

3- reduce our dependence on foreign oil

4-strengthen the economy. How much bride money does it take to transfer our tax dollars to Obamas friends??

5- provide the tax relief you need & for business, so they'll be able to invest in new equipment & new technology, so:

AMERICA CAN CONTINUE TO LEAD AS THE #1 NATION IN THE 21st, 22nd centuries.. and beyond & MAKE OUR FATHERS PROUD.

    McCAIN / PALIN 08

  • Is there a source for the graph at 8:23 ?

  • must see for every voter

  • Oh, wrong guy, no I got you right. Anyone can claim to have a business, and Obama's dispute with Joe the Plumber, and we're discovering the gov't was involved in the investigation of citizen Joe, was revealing.

Income distribution study... gee, WOW I'm convinced.

If it's so terrible here in America, why do we have so many people immigrating here, even illegally? WOW that income distribution thingy is really messed up.

  • make govt cool again i guess. whatev

  • Excellent Video.

    Mccain/PALIN

  • Bravo!!!

  • Just heard a rumor that the Obama camp is working on a new "National Anthem" that will be ratified by the filibuster proof democrat congress-spread the word to stop this madness now and vote early-vote McCain!

  • just heard a rumor that canditaylor68 is out of her mind. this one actually sounds believable, though.

  • Just heard that a black guy was mugged by some white chick. When she saw his Obama sticker, she carved a big "O" on his face.

  • LOL!

  • palin/palin '12!!!

  • Also this video parrots the right-wing line that the only taxes people pay are income taxes. He ignores sales and payroll taxes which are a HUGE burden for poor people.

As for bigger gov't, Clinton shrank gov't while GWB decided to make it huge again (not just defense and homeland security). Let's get back to fiscal responsibility.

Lastly, even republicans snow, greenspan, and cox admitted that fannie and freddie weren't the primary cause of the credit crisis.

    reality bites.

  • Payroll taxes are an individual tax for an individual benefit. They are contributing to THEIR benefits. It is not a tax, it is an insurance policy.

So if we cut their payroll tax we should cut their benefits, right? That is the big lie that you won't admit. Obama gives a "rebate" on their payroll taxes but does not cut their available benefits.

It is a tremendous lie, but what more to expect from the left?

  • This is not a defense of Bush. He governed like a liberal, that is the problem.

As for your point on Fannie and Freddie. You are wrong. The credit crisis is a result of the mortgage crisis. Greenspan warned that Fannie and Freddie would damage the housing market many times.

The credit crisis is due to the fact that subprime MBS have no street value. That was caused by the mortgage mess.

You have to think in more than a single dimension. Luckily for you, most people can't.

  • hey, quit cutting me out of comments. try to win on the merits.

fannie and freddie actually lost market share in the subprime loan business in '04 and '05. they didn't feel they were getting compensated for the risk.

i suppose you think lehman went bankrupt b/c of fannie? funny b/c ceo dick fuld doesn't believe that.

you guys blame FF, Carter, and poor people who skew minority. indpt voters ain't buyin' that nonsense.

the republican party is dying b/c it's divorced from reality.

  • Wall Street was plenty stupid too. Fannie gained share during that period, it was in the New York Times. They increased their subprime lending dramatically in the 03-05 period.

Facts are facts. Government invented and pushed subprime securities. Just because Wall Street was stupid enough to swallow the poison does not make government innocent, does it?

  • gov't invented subprime? where's your source for that nonsense? fannie and freddie were late to the subprime market party. plenty of institutions with profit motives were snatching these securities up like candy before fannie and freddie. yet you choose to blame only fannie and freddie. complete intellectual dishonesty.

  • CRA expansion in 1995 authorized the use of subprime mortgage-backed securities for the first time and forced banks to use them to increase low-income lending or limitations on their ability to expand outside of their market areas would be enforced.

    Research. Look into it.

  • forced? that's funny. did they force private mortgage lenders to buy up 70-80% of this ticking time-bombs?

did they force inv't banks to buy CDS's and overleverage?

  • Nobody is blaming poor people or minorities, except you. You must be a racist then...

The first one to mention race usually is.

  • did you already forget about your video on the CRA? It's called Burning down the house. Check it out. You blame Carter and poor people. the truth is that rich people bought houses they couldn't afford. Those were the ones that saw the biggest price declines. Think for just a second or 2 about it.

  • I do not blame Carter. There was nothing wrong with CRA until 1995. Did you forget.

I specifically say in the video "poor people did not cause this"

Can you read? Hooked. On. Phonics.

Uh, wrong. the greatest declines are in the middle price range, which is exactly where a low-income person intent on overbuying would be.

Again, no data. Just made up assertions.

  • bush governed like a liberal? let's see ... tax cuts for the hyperwealthy during war ... how liberal.

just b/c bush has sucked doesn't mean you can credibly paint him as a leftist. only insane right-wingers buy that nonsense. of course, that's your target audience if the comments are any indication.

  • Look at the data...he cut tax rates more for the Bottom 50% than anyone.

The "rich" pay a higher % of all taxes today than ever in history.

He is no leftist, but he passed entitlement programs and spent like a drunken sailor. He was no fiscal conservative, that is the point.

Do you honestly believe Obama will restrict the growth of Government? Who are you going to sell that to?

  • you say bush governed like a liberal. then you say he's no leftist. which one is it? you changed your mind in like 5 minutes. you're as erratic as the mccain campaign.

  • He ran as a conservative and spent like a liberal, how hard is it to understand?

  • this is so cute watching the true believer themouthpeace try to change the election.

first off, our Democrats would be right-wingers in foreign countries. and i love the irony of a right-winger using examples of other countries to make his point.

other countries veered too far left and they're correcting. The US has veered too far right and we're correcting. It's simple.

This video acts like US business taxes are high when we actually have the 3rd-lowest corporate taxes/GDP in the OECD.

  • Because they do not pay their taxes here...do you buy gas at the gas station with the highest price when another is next door for a lower price?

You do not live in reality...

  • Because they do not pay their taxes here? You should probably elaborate on exactly what you're trying to say here.

  • The declare their profits overseas through transfer pricing. You can declare the profit margin where the product is made or where it is sold or even somewhere in between.

    You think they are stupid?

  • it's tough to argue CEOs aren't stupid when you see what's happened to lehman, bear stearns, fannie, freddie, aig, etc.

unfettered market capitalism is dead. did you not hear greenspan yesterday?

  • Use the link in the description to spread it!

  • That Was Good!

    GOD BLESS, America!

    McCain/Palin,08"Keep America,FREE & STRONG!

    For ALL Americans!

  • In what way(s) is McCain proposing for smaller government? Both the candidates are either for big or bigger government.

  • Why has this been pulled, I want to see it!! whatever happened to free speech!! bring back the video!!!!

  • Try in a different browser...it worked in IE for me.

  • The video's been pulled!!! Keep up the great work!!! Brilliant vid!!!

  • Absolutely BRILLIANT!

  • Barney Frank in bed with Fannie, are you sure it wasn't Freddie, just kidding....

  • Obama is the Billy Mays of politics. Those in America know who I'm talking about,he's that annoying bearded guy with the shril voice that sells everything from 'mighty putty' to insurance to the 'weed auger' garden tool.

  • TheMouthPeace, Excellent video!

However, the average viewer doesn't have your intellectual capacity.

Your use of OECD charts is to be commended.

My question is, where is the economic wealth of the world accumulating.

The central banks of the World are a major factor in the world's wealth distribution.

Debt, as a % of GDP is a telling stat. Where's China?

    The U.S. economy since Reagan:

Service sector jobs, i.e. Wal Mart type?

    The GOP and gov't spending,debt?

  • Our incomes are rising faster than in Europe...think of it that way.

The only jobs handouts will create are jobs at Wal-Mart.

Even the less intellectual will get the point, and most on YouTube will have enough brains to see the message, they may ignore it at their peril.

  • I don't totally disagree with you!

However, our income distribution stats are misleading because of the gains of the top 5%.

We continue to see erosion of wealth in the bottom 80%. Even with a past growing economy,we have a negative savings rate.

And stop making these videos, you're making me doubt "The Messiah" LOL

  • Well, think of it this way, the bottom 50% have not gotten wealthier in ANY developed country, and will not as long as China and India compete with low-cost unskilled labor.

No amount of Government will change the fact that unskilled labor is a global commodity.

So the question is do we allow the top 5% the freedom to innovate and create jobs? Yes, they get wealthier. Their wealth is not at the expense of the bottom 50%, they employ the bottom 50%--and as you see they pay a HUGE % of taxes.

  • We're in agreement with one small caveat.

Small business creates the majority of new jobs. Most small business owners aren't in the top 5%. Obama has proposed to cut capital gains taxes for the first year, for small business start ups,and tax credits for all new hires of existing small businesses. Also, his plan to let the Bush Tax cuts expire on the Top 5%, will only effect 4% of small business owners.

I say Paris Hilton should pay more Taxes. LOL

  • werv, cite plz. didn't think so. thanks anyways

  • wervasdeferens,

cite source for your special knowledge plz. didn't think so, okay... make politics cool i guess. whatev

  • CaptainAhab789 , Cite which?

Go to the U.S. gov't census bureau site.

Or whatever, hell just google search anything and everything, you can find it yourself.

Type in the search tab "Which party screws the people more"

    You'd be amazed!

  • werv, cite source plz before talking down to us plebs plz. werv still haven't done it, but me too stupid to notice.

    thx

  • wervasdeferens -

Startups never pay capital gains, they are buying assets not selling them. You only pay capital gains when you sell assets for a profit. How many startups do that? ZERO. It is cutting a tax nobody pays. More smoke for the masses.

It is actually 10% of small business owners according to IRS data and it represents 70% of all small business jobs beyond the founder.

You are not meant to know that, but think about it.

  • There is an important distinction here. Most small business jobs are NOT created by MOST small business owners. Think about what profit a business would have to have before hiring anyone other than the proprietor and family....does $200,000 seem about right? Hiring a full-time employee is an average of $60,000 plus taxes and benefits. That is a big investment.

95% of small businesses are 1 employee. Obama hits the 5% that actually hire people. He fools people with bad logic. It seems to work.

  • here's some facts, themouthpeace.

let's say a small business hires 10 salespeople at 60k each. that's 600k in extra expenses. let's say they bring in 1.2 million in extra revenues. that's 600k in profits. obama says let's increase the marginal tax rate from 36% to 39%. 3% of 600k is 18k in extra taxes. BUT the owner got 3k in tax credits for each of the 10. that's 30k. in other words, (s)he saved 12k on taxes total.

obama = better for small businesses AND employees

  • Just curious. WHO is proposing to pay employers three thousand dollars for each person hired? Which employers?

If the government will pay ME $3,000 for each "employee" "hired" I will put an ad in the newspaper TOMORROW!

Is there a limit on the number of people I can "hire"? Also, do they have to be aliens or one-legged women who might have been abused in a former life?

  • TheMouthPeace, Thankfully we live in an age where information is just a mouse click away.

I checked U.S. Chamber of Commerce,U.S. Census Bureau, and the SBA, for stats.

Thanks for getting me to do my homework.

What I've learned today solidifies my trust in Obama's economic plan.

Why are so many "intellectual" conservatives backing Obama?

You're sharp,MouthPeace, swallow your pride and do the right thing. LOL

  • werv, so much information and enlightenment you've achievd, we all love ur massive ego. more information than citations and arguments it seems. cite plz. we are all proud of u tho

  • CaptainAhab789, What is it you dispute?

I'd be more than happy to give you exact refernces, just let me know! If you google"small business stats", most of the info is there. Esp. Censusdotgov/small business

  • cite me, for instance, where you grow the economy by punishing those who grow the economy... including small businesses who make more than $250,000. you do not cite specific sources. you simply say "the census bureau".

    citations plz

  • First of all, you cite where I said anything like that. Secondly, Obama's plan raises taxes on individual incomes over $250K, not business income.

Lastly, I own a business that grosses $2.5M million in revenue, but my personal income is under $200K. I employ 14 people and have been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for 6 years.(Trucking)

  • "About three quarters of all U.S. business firms have no payroll. Most are self-employed persons operating unincorporated businesses.

Nonemployers account for only about 3.4 percent of business receipts, they are not included in most business statistics"--- census gov / epcd/ smallbus

  • That's all it will let me post on the url.

So, you can try there at the U.S. Census Bureau under small business stats, and Obama's campaign website.

How much more specific can I get? There is only one U.S. Census Bureau.

  • So, you claim to own this "business" and you have nothing better to do than youtube? Never mind what Obama actually said to Joe the Plumber who said he planned on possibly purchasing a business making $250,000. Joe works hard.

    watch?v=vFC9jv9jfoA

forgive me if i don't believe a word you say on

  • A report issued on 10-22-08 by the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) revealed the United States has the third worst level of income inequality and poverty among the group's 30 member states. Only Mexico and Turkey ranked higher in those categories. OECD states in western Europe, along with Japan, South Korea, Canada and Australia, all recorded better figures than the US, as did central and eastern European states, including Poland and Hungary.

  • The 300-page report, entitled "Growing Unequal? Income Distribution and Poverty in OECD countries,"

On the US, the report explained: "Since 2000, income inequality has increased rapidly, continuing a long-term trend that goes back to the 1970s ... Rich households in America have been leaving both middle and poorer income groups behind. This has happened in many countries, but nowhere has this trend been so stark as in the United States.

  • AHAB, whether you believe me or not is irrelevant. TheMouthPeace used OECD analysis to make his point, so I think the report they issued last week should be taken into account.

OK, the OECD report entitled "Growing Unequal?", can I be any clearer on where I obtained the information?

  • Lol, I think I misunderstood you from the get-go.

  • Absolutely brilliant! If you want change to poverty and unemployment, Barrack your world.

  • lmao! Well said!

  • I know most of you don't care but even Macedonia supports the centre-right. (big time)

  • Have you ever seen an infomercial that wasn't full of crap for the gullible?

Obama is nothing but a product of slick marketing which make his socialistic policies sound pleasing to the ear.
