  • Cracking outfits in this video. Reminds me of my parent's wedding photos.

  • WTF? A Kansas song under 7 minutes?

    Kerry is a fantastic composer

  • LiKe wOW mAn CoOl vIdEo. Kansas ROCKS!

  • I always play this song before I have an exam

  • OMG!!! What are doing Hagrind plaing violin in this video?? :)

  • Someone probably already said this, but who ever the poster of this song and video was could have at least spelled the song right. Point of No Return. English 101!

  • @MistakenlyMistaken Actually, the spelling is correct. That's the way the band spelled it on the record. It's a play on words.

  • @MistakenlyMistaken "Know" is correct.

  • These Guys were Awesome in Albany this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rich sure was a snappy dresser in those days

  • Steve Walsh...whatta set oif pipes on that dude!

  • Back then the video didn't matter, it was just a showcase for showing great musicians and singers....

  • this is awesome in soo many ways!

  • You spelled "no" wrong.... TARD

  • @GeneralJo12

I truly hope you are being ironic. The word "Know" is quite correct in its spelling as that is part of the name of the song. Or perhaps you are just unaware of that fact. If not it is quite easy to Google it.

  • @skavenbrujo I was being sarcastic (:

  • talk about a flashback!!! dang !!! member listenin to these guys when i was younger.. still love them to this day

  • special effects has come so far

  • Campy...but wonderful.

  • You get the feeling you're supposed to be on something in order to appreciate the video portion of this music video?

  • crazyxmarine I agree about Kansas becoming shit when members became religious. So many decent bands lost out to this righteous and pompous phase. Headeast's singer went christian, the singer in 'America' also left to do the same(Though they were so clean cut they might as well have been christian Rock.) Like Sports and music, Religion and music don't mix whatever your views.Religion sucks in my view but even if it didn't,it's the wrong caserole to mix with tunes. Leave ideology out & just Rock!

  • @soundvisionary13 hell yea man

  • there best song.

  • The lead singers neck looks like a dick.....its ALIVE!!!!!!

  • @Elsidewinder639 Jesus, now that's all I can picture when I watch this

  • awesome band, i saw them live in naples fl in the 90z, as good or better live

  • saw them in shreveport la. They had great energy, on stage. It is great when you have a string of hits and everyone is on fire for a great show. man what great concerts in that time. make my hair grow thinking about it!

  • @1skypilot47 my first rock concert in Shreveport this tour Hirsch?

  • @howlingwolfntx64 yes I WAS THERE MANY TIMES. ZZ TOP OLD STEPINWOLF, HEART

  • @howlingwolfntx64 I won tickets on the radio in Tyler, Tx and saw Kansas at Hirsch in 1980. It's the only concert I've been to that I don't have a ticket stub. Ironically, I have my old work desk calendar marking the date of the concert. October 12, 1980

  • these guys are such white folks, i love it!

  • cool man...check out the black light on the fuzzy elvis.

  • And Elrond on drums

  • So Hagrid on violin, Jesus on Piano, Mark Teixeira lead singer, Fro guy on guitar? Correct me if im wrong

  • @FastoJetso Naw, that's definitely Edgar Winter on keys. :)

  • @TheDancingSaxophone It's Kerry Livgren.

  • @keithr63 Thanks for the info- I was just kidding anyway, but good to know who it actually is. (The hair is the only part that kinda looks like edgar winter.)

  • jesus = steve walsh...miss him so much!!

  • @MissChelsea5991 yeah they was they sounded great i was in the back watching from concessions area.and they was better than i expected

  • Wonderful song =)

  • You can really hear the early Genesis sound here. The drumming was more even and less choppy than Phils drumming and of course Steve Walsh was never as theatrical as Peter G.Kansas was the best American band of the 70's and along with Rush the best Prog in North America.

  • @flap00 - actually "Know" is the correct spelling for both the song & the album. Kansas Point of Know Return 1977 - look it up.

  • Looks like shots of the moon blowing up from the old TV show Space: 1999

  • @cjpmugsr999 You're right. They did use clips from Space: 1999 at the request of Kerry Livgren, who is a science fiction fan. Fortunately for the band, the show was cancelled by the time of the release of "Point Of Know Return", thereby avoiding major legal hassles.

  • Elrond on drums, Seth Rogen on guitar, and Jesus on violin. Truly Epic

  • Did the guitar player just get back from the senior prom?

  • BRRRRUUUZZZZZUUUUUUUEEEEEZZZZZ explosion lava!!! BLURZZZZZZZZ then the sky! and crazy color smoke:D love this video

  • @bluntusmaximus HAHA Mark Teixeira look alike... creepy!

  • how long are you going to not say nothing.

  • Dave Hopes handle bar mustach is simply epic!

  • @BrentMB79 Don't forget Phil Ehart's wolverine sideburns!

  • im liking all the random explosion in the backgorund

  • all of you people need to stop fighting. you idots that listen and then comment cuz you dont like it should just watch what you like and not what you dont . and dont tell anyone what they should or shouldnt watch. just enjoy the freaking song.

  • IDK they are great !!!!!

  • Absolutely brilliant.

  • One of the best bands of the time. These were their most popular songs, of course, played on radio, but they have many excrellent songs that this generation has not heard. Search and listen, people! They are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Your brother's.. They echo your words!!".... One word... Amazing!!!

  • Jesus, can the vocalist hit high notes or what? FUCK! How the hell can he hit notes like that....fucking amazing vocal power. Gives me chills

  • Everyone, Hagrid doesnt have shit on Robby, Robby came before so Hagrid looks like Robbie, not the other way around

  • second best song they ever did. carry on 1st....they were awesome....

  • there are tons of better songs than this, so many people only know this band for dust in the wind, carry on wayword son,and this, thee have more than three songs tehy put out so much music and havent had a bad album or song, now me saying that this isnt their best song is just my opinio fou have truly explored most of kansas's other songs anbd this is your vewrdict but this isnt just to you but all of kansas's fans listen to more and dont just listen to what most people would consider a hit

  • How long!! To the point of no return>>

  • For years I thought this was by Styx.

  • Point of No Return

  • never noticed it before on how much these guys sound like Jethro Tull. And thats not a bad thing or maybe Jethro Tull sounds like Kansas?Perplexing!!

  • it's 'no' returnyou illiterate fuck

  • @harobmx123

Not sure who you're addressing, but the name of this song is indeed "Point of Know Return". It's a bit of a play on words. You might wanna confirm your facts before calling someone an "illiterate fuck". Just saying.

  • @zayatz whatever faggot

  • @harobmx123

Wow, you really got me there. Congratulations, genius. I'm not worthy. I bow to your superior intellect and verbal prowess. Which, of course, is remarkably easy when hiding behind the anonimity of a youtube forum post. Very impressive. Your abusive stepfather must be so proud of you. The world is a happier place just knowing you're in it. Thank you for sharing. I love you.

  • hagrid on violin

  • Temasooooo gracias....

  • rich williams has more talent in his little finger than seth rogen has in his whole fucking fat body

  • AOR at its worst.

  • Kansas was awesome- so tight, so much raw energy in their music

  • This is a great song, which kind of reminds me of a band I've heard a few days ago, Aperco. Hear the similarity at their channel apercoband

  • Hey, this isn't bad. Good SFX for the time. Great song, too.

  • They're singing to Jesus. the 'message in the bottle, from you to me', is Christianity.

  • kansas is awesome

  • So cheesy, so epic.

  • @elf893 yea id rather be listening to todays garbadge,go lay down, these gys are legends see if the cooches of today do this kind of distance

  • @knight1768 I like the song. But the video is cheesy, yet epic.

  • Great classic 70's music

  • Always makes me proud to be from the great State of Kansas!

  • @jharri1 Lord, there has to be something to do it.

  • 40 people fell off the point of no return

  • Back when you needed more then a drum machine, some stolen riffs from old rock songs, 20 back-up dancers and the ability to talk fast while rhyming words...

  • Never thought about the drum fills, but they are pretty sick.

  • Bigfoot can play a violin. Who knew?

  • Kansas hit #28 in Billboard, 1-21-78, God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • How long till the point of know return? I hope it's near.

  • That just happened!

  • My 3rd favorite Kansas song. Lol.

  • @murderousbastard83 let me guess, your first 2 are carry on my wayward son and dust in the wind? lol

  • @TheMusicismylife56 Lucky guess. :P

  • @murderousbastard83 lol, radio hits are the shit...atleast you listen to good music though...rock on

  • @TheMusicismylife56 Thanks, ditto. I love most of Kansas's catalogue of music with the original members. But Carry on Wayward Son and Dust in the Wind are genious songs.

  • Seth rogen on guitar , jesus on piano, big fro man on violin great song lol

  • @TheCheesecar Dude, the slow kid at our prom had that same tux!

  • @TheCheesecar his names gimly btw, oh and you forgot about legosas

  • @TheCheesecar hagrid on the violin.

  • @TheCheesecar didnt want to mention the lead singer, Mark Teixeira?

  • @bluntusmaximus no i didn't.

  • Comment removed

  • Holy Sh$t!!! The Mark Teixeira comment cracked me up!!!

  • @TheCheesecar - fro man is hagrid

  • @TheCheesecar actually, i think jesus is on violin. it was just in his hippie days

  • @TheCheesecar Dude, show some respect. ;-)

  • Great song, but they shorted it, and this video is terrible. But Kansas' level of pure awesomeness somehow overcomes all of it.

  • Good one! =)

  • this song makes me wanna river dance.

  • this song makes wanna river dance

  • This brings back so many memories, literally makes me cry!

  • HAGRID!!!

  • Does anybody else play the air violin when this song is playing?

  • @YourDailyVitamins SAME!!!!

  • I wonder where these guys originally came from? Probably the Boston area.

  • Who's the angry bass player?

  • @bigsexy9999 Dave Hope, he was the original before Billy Greer came along.

  • Seen them last night @ Booneville, Mo. Still sounding GREAT!

VIVA KANSAS

LARGA VIDA AL ROCK Y AL METAL

  • is it just me or does Phil Ehart(the drummer) look like a cross between Elron from Lord of the rings and Wolverine? Either way kansas is awesome :)

  • @fraroc hahaha he looks exactly like a hybrid of the two!

  • Your Father, he says... ? Your Mother, she says... ? Your Brothers, they...? HOW FAR ?

  • Love Kansas Music ? Share IT * Kill Rap Music 2012 *

  • 39 people returned !

  • This band lived nearby me for years and I met them when they recorded at the Lakewood (Atlanta) studios. It was my second major band to meet. When I was very young, I got to go onstage with The Kingston Trio. Nowdays I hangout with bands and people like: Nightwish, EPICA, Delain, and Hammerfall. I started a TOTALLY MUSIC/ARTIST CHANNEL to educate people about bands and help them to really experience music. I hope some of you will check it out.

  • This song makes me want to get up and dance around wildly every time I hear it. Musically its not anything brilliant imo but I just love the way all of the parts come together. And I normally hate dancing

  • Elrond was a pretty good drummer back then

  • KANSAS = TRUTH = JOY *

  • Are all Kansas songs this funny?
