I flew Virgin America to NY and back to LA a year ago and it was the best airline I've ever flown. To think that the british actually got it right!!! God love them! I hope the American airlines follow suite!! I WILL ALWAYS FLY VIRGIN AMERICA TO NYC. AND ANYWHERE I'M GOING WHERE THEY FLY!!

Yes, you can bring a laptop onboard...plug in right under your seat and you're good to go. They link through satellite.

Quake 1, Quake 2 and Quake 3 source under GPL you can get directly from ID's site. Doom is a little tricky, the source was released in 1997 or 1998, so it's not really a hot topic any more. But it's probably sloshing around somewhere.

Has anybody flown on international airlines with similar entertainment setups? How do they compare? I flew on Jetblue and the TV kept cutting out. After about 20 minutes into the flight they shut the whole system down and said we were out of range.

Virgin america looks pretty good. Airlines around the world are definitely following the trend of making a better experience and this is one that is ahead of the pack. We shoudl all hope approval comes soon to get this in the air. i think the seat width and the pitch are better than other US airlines and the seats are leather with TVs, RJ-45, USBs, AC power & games!

this is AWESOME!! it is way better than anything out there jet blue, american, united, northwest. The coolest features are FOOD ordering and CHAT. better to be delayed in that seat than at an airport

Virgin Airlines in Australia is a budget airline. Tickets are usually very cheap and food/drinks cost extra. Not sure how Virgin America is/will be.

Sweet! Say what you will, but this is funtionality way beyond any domestic carrier out there!! And, yes, of course they will charge for some of it - they'd be stupid not to. But I'm sure the free services alone will far exceed any experience that's out there right now. We should all want to let VA fly!

We get these services when we fly outside the US (JAL, Singapore Air, Qantas, Malaysian, etc.) and it's a real downer to get back on a US carrier and be stuffed in to a tiny seat with none of these amenities. I hope this new competition will help spur other US carriers to once again start caring about our comfort.

thats not true, jetBlue offers Free DirecTV, Free XM Radio, $5 Pay Per View movies, Self Service snack bar on long flights, amenity kits for shuteye flights, and up to 36" seat pitch. Looks like Virgin America is going to take what jetBlue did and just make it wayyyyyy better.
