i'm actually a very reasonable person. u thought i was nuts but Einstein said imagination is more important than knowledge. I just don't like someone calling a UFO report swamp gas or temperature inversion - neither of which have been demonstrated to cause any UFO effects. I don't think swamp gas even exists. In fact the wikipedia article says nothing about swamp gas and UFOs or any light effects whatsoever! Skeptics have gone Waaaaayyyy too far in the last 100 years and this troubles me.

You "believers" need to provide some evidence for your assertion. You might be a reasonable person, but your requirements for belief are far below mine. Swamp gas is methane - which exists. UFO sightings can be explained by many natural phenomena, including human error.

....Anyway, we all came to the conclusion that there is no `right and wrong' in history because it depends on your point of view and what you are arguing. There are may points of view. Someone at Roswell may have seen swamp gas. Another may have seen clouds. Another may have seen alien bodies. Another may have seen nothing. I think the US government is to blame for creating the modern UFO myth. They deliberately played-up the significance of UFO `crashes' in their culture so the truth is hidden.

Little cliques of academics invent new meanings for words to have their own little `club'. Things like that make me very skeptical as to the veracity of findings. By coincidence we could be setting up for the worst depression in years. the reason is that sunspots are proportional to the length of the agricultural growing season. more expensive commodities = a decline in civilisation. that's what my book will be about. the top of the roman world was at the time of christ, top of sunspot cycle. sunspots declined, empire collapsed. there is a 10 year and also 1000 year cycle etc lots of cycle

When you jump to the conclusion that "they just proved telepathy" from reading this article, it shows how you will use any little thing in an attempt to justify your beliefs. This is classic confirmation bias. The article and study it describes says nothing of any of the various contentions made by telepaths. "Proving" something takes a little more than this.

U shouldn't be sad that u failed to convert me to materialism, Japeo. We would all like everyone else to follow our chosen religions because it flatters our ego. At the end of the day however, I must stand with science against religious superstition. "Although the force is relatively weak — around 10 billion times weaker than gravity..." so then how does this have any effect at all on our lives? Being 10 billion times weaker than an already very weak force? No one has been saying this. And the physics textbooks are fine until we can show what this force is and how it acts - or that it even exists!

We don't have evidence they have been saying it for ten k years, however there was an age of cancer and taurus, (hence the bull religion), in 6000 BC, when the sun rose in taurus on the vernal equinox, so some knowledge can be gleaned. Well, they didn't specify the context in which it is 10 billion times weaker. They didn't give a space dimension. If it's so weak then how come it's detected? Apparently this force is stronger than the sun's gravity which exists out there
