The most graduated tonal variety.Whoare these young pianists who are clearer than Arrau&Eschenbach.She never makes an ugly sound.she is a master of finessing and ending phrases. Magisterial playing .The training is already better than many recording virtuosi! Strange that Arrau&Eschenbach fudge the same interplay of left&right hand. I can't believe the levels young graduates have these days.Godowsky etudes are for this class of musician.
I've seen this sort of unnecessary hand movement before. I say, if you are attracted by that then the music itself must be boring by comparison. i find it extremely distracting. her tempo tends to vary between the quavers and semiquavers in the same bar!
I know exactly what you mean - I have the relaxation technique and a rather small hand, so I do understand using your arms and movement to produce a certain type of sound and to aid in technical difficulties, but she does rather move a bit much. That said however, I enjoyed her performance very much. I have heard many people butcher Mozart and pound the keys making it sound aweful. So I love and appreciate her touch - a bit too romantic in some areas, but a wonderful performance. =)
I'm learning this and its helpful to watch someone else playing it especially when I can see their expression. I've got to 105 seconds in to it and the next section sounds like it will be very veryhard to learn. I can't wait to try!
Thanks for posting you make it look so effortless.
by no means, this is a common level of playing, sweet or bitter, her perfectly articulated, yet nuanced playing is in the very core of mozartian -viennese fashion, sheer artistry deserves much merit. anyone w/ ear & understanding of pinistic mechanism will hear the rare talent. your comment belongs to the very common, mediocre category.
Immaculate playing. She's a star in the making. Why on earth is there a sign stuck to the side of the piano? What could possibly be so important? So distracting - I found myself wondering about what it might rather than listening to the music. "If found, please return to....."??

is this Mozarts hardest sonata?
BassicStorm 8 months ago
@BassicStorm
It depends on your strengths and weaknesses. It is among the most challenging, IMO.

Your phrasing is exquisite and you play this piece with such emotion. I only wish that Mozart was alive to hear this beautifully-played sonata.

Yes, it is beautiful. Proper fingering helps your fingers move gracefully, so you can play as beautifully as this. : )
